I was in dire need of a shape wear for an up coming wedding next weekend and had went to all the stores in Metrotown. (La senza, N/A except for online, Victoria secret N/A and La vie en rose which didn't have my size) and this was my first experience at Change. I guess I could've checked the bay but I really wanted to get out of the mall especially when it's busy. A tall Indian sales associate approached me and I told her what I needed. I told her I needed a size small I didn't care what color or even style at that point. She got me a black high waist short style shape wear. I asked her again if it's a small and she said yes and that it's stretchy. I said I'll take it. This came to $100 and they gave me a $10 discount to join their rewards program. Later that evening I took it out to try it on and that's when I noticed the tag saids XS and I knew I was in trouble. I could barely get my legs into it so I didn't bother and called the store. The person who picked up told me I should've tried it on in store before purchasing and that it was a final sale. I told her I was never offered to try it on especially with Covid restrictions constantly changing I didn't really think about it. Also I had the sales associate had helped me so I trusted her knowledge and expertise. I just wanted an exchange not even a refund. She told me to come by noon tomorrow while the store manager was in but there's no guarantee. When I got there the next day I guess the store manager recognized me from the day before and even mentioned the sales associate helping me. She was able to find me the high rise granny panty looking shape wear $80 (I had no idea they're so expensive as La vie en rose is only 40) and exchanged it for the difference. I did try it on over my shorts to make sure it was the right fit. If I could do it all over again, I would've just ordered from skims or La vie en rose. read more

From my wife: I went into change as I was looking to purchase new bras today at 6:45pm at your metrotown location. There were two people working and neither acknowledged me in any way. I went up to one woman (short, curly black hair in a pony tail, East Indian) and asked for a Demi bra. She said they are closing and could not do a fitting now and could not help me find my size. This store has great bras, but customer service is crap. The first time I tried to buy a particular bra, the sales associate ended up giving me one with lace trim, right after I said no lace trim. So I brought it back, and a different associate did an exchange for me....and gave me the wrong size. Now, some may say this is my own damn fault for not double checking, but hey....when I go to a store I don't expect to have to monitor staff to make sure they're not messing things up....fuck me, right? After I exchange this goddamn bra I won't be shopping here anymore, as I don't have time to keep coming back to get the correct item. I got referred here by a friend and have to say I'm delighted I did. I had my little boy nearly 2years ago. I've been nursing my son but when he'd cut down to just morning and evening feeds I decided to get these bad boys some much needed support, and see what dire shape they really were in after pregnancy and 19mths of nursing!!! So I went and to be completely honest I was a little scared as to see what sort of state my body was left in. So I went in and was greeted by one of the sales assistant, Chrissie I think her name was. So told her my story; been nursing, haven't had a proper bra it seems like in forever and I desperately needed some help. Well I have to say I couldn't have been happier with my service. She was so attentive and made me feel really comfortable. She listened to my concerns and brought me some beautiful pieces, even a few pieces that were a little bit racier than I had intended to get :) I ended up buying 8 bras, 3 knickers and a bikini!!! They had such an amazing sale on and I just felt so beautiful and sexy in them that I couldn't resist! Plus now having my breasts sitting where they should sit makes me look like I've lost 10 lbs!!! Moral of the story, get fitted for a proper sized, supportive bra; it will change your life :D read more

Final verdict: I paid $50 for an OK bra and missed out on a good deal because no one bothered to mention it. The service is probably more knowledgeable than some other lingerie places, but that being said I have met bra-fitting experts who work at other more mainstream places who know their stuff. To be fair, I think a large part of my problem with this store is that my expectations were quite high going in. I read the reviews for both this location and the one in Kitsilano and was prepared to be wowed by the personalized customer service. That didn't really happen for me. I went in because I was in desperate need of a strapless bra that didn't fall down or peek through half my outfits. I also figured it was time to get remeasured as it had been several years since the last time. My first bra fitting was at Diane's on Granville and I was super impressed by the knowledge of the staff person who helped me, as well as her superb level of attention and customer service (it has been so long since I've gone there, though, that I don't feel comfortable reviewing it here on Yelp). After reading about Change, I expected an equivalent level of service. When I went into the store, I browsed a few items before speaking with a staff person. I have to say I wasn't blown away. It was hard for me to find the styles I wanted as there was very little signage indicating what was where. I told the staff person that I needed a strapless bra but also thought it was time to be remeasured. I told her my most recent size and she said that they used European sizing so it would be different there. This was a bit annoying since that means that I can't transfer my knowledge from that store to another one. Afterwards, I looked into the differences between European and North American sizing (to see if I could convert it myself) and I became quite confused, as the size she gave me did not in any way resemble European sizing! I now have absolutely no idea what she meant. To size the bra, she did a quick measure around my chest, poked my boobs a little, announced a size and went off to get me something to try on. After the first try-on, she realised she had overestimated my cup letter (not surprising, considering she hadn't measured them) and got me a bra in the correct size. She brought me a bra which I tried on, I then waited quite a while for her to come back and check in on me. She looked at it cursorily, announced it as good, and that was it. Being less than assertive with sales people who are supposed to be experts, I just went along with it. To be honest, while the bra isn't super uncomfortable, it isn't great either. It serves it purpose, however. Something that annoyed me is that I noticed while walking by the store later that they actually had a 2-for-1 sale going on that day. No one mentioned it to me and by the time I saw it I didn't have time to go in and take advantage of the deal. While obviously this is partially my fault for not being observant, it would have been nice of someone to point it out. read more

If you have really bad anxiety when it comes to bra fitting, I recommend coming here and seeing Hilary. I am sure the other sales associates are friendly but I walked into the store with no intentions of getting a fitting. I knew it had come time to finally buy a new bra. I typically stick with sports bras so getting fitted for an actual bra was a source of anxiety for me. She found my size within minutes. I am actually a 32E and a right bra that can support my assets is very important. Boobs come in different sizes and shape; thus, I always avoid those huge chain lingerie store such as Victoria Secret or La vie en rose. I went to Change because I have read some positive reviews on other sites. Apparently, their staffs will fit us and find us the prefect bra. Unfortunately, when I visited this place, the sale associate did not helped me. I told her I am unsure about my size, but she just hang me the bras that I have selected myself. The bra itself is comfortable in a very affordable price - around 50$. The bras are very simple and normal look, without any special design, but it's all good, given the price we are paying for it. read more

I was in here today looking to just grab something quick but a worker stopped me and insisted on measuring me. After the measuring she said she would bring me some bras to try on. She brought me about 8 bras in total and I didn't like any of them. I told her 3 times I'm not interested and am just going to stick with my old brand, but she kept insisting I stay and she would get me more to try on. Eventually I had to text me boyfriend and tell him to fake an emergency saying we had to leave. Even when he did, she still asked if we could stay a little longer so I could try on some more. We nearly sprinted out of there. I felt like I was being held captive. And does anyone else find it disgusting that they don't let you wear anything underneath the bras when you try them on?!? From my wife: Went to the shop because they said they carry many sizes. Told them I'm an F cup but the sales girl gave me a C cup, saying it's equivalent to the size of an F, and another one D cup. I was like OK I would try but as an adult I think I know my size better than anyone else. Of course both didn't fit so they scrambled to find the right bra for me and ended up with a G cup. I love my boobs! I am top heavy and I have what most girls dream of having, however, shopping for a bra is a frustration and a nightmare for me. Weird how after all these years of being in Metrotown that I didn't notice this store until now. I learned some things about my boobs that I hadn't before such as for the past 15 years, I have been wearing the wrong bra size. I am supposed to be supported in certain areas so that they perk up, especially since gravity hasn't been too kind to my 36D breasts as I age. The bras are expensive, however, you get what you pay for which is a properly fitted bra. I love Le Senza 'cause it's flashy and fun, however, the girls don't have the bra knowledge that the staff at Change do (read all the location reviews). I am happy with my purchase and now have a proper custom bra that will support my puppies during my jumping and dancing at Coachella during those hipster bands while still staying dry and the breast line in the dessert heat (special breathable material). The customer service was decent. The lady who was assisting me was a little cold and unfriendly and I worked really hard at trying to break her out of it. She warmed up to me kinda sort of, however, felt unappreciated considering how much I am spending on a bra. She was knowledgeable. I just have a hard time taking advice from someone who is in her early 20's who hasn't yet experienced sagging yet and lower back pain due to age. I kept consistently telling her that I needed a sports bra for physical activities and she kept making me try on regular fancy bras 'cause she had a tough time actually knowing my bob size. They do have shapers which is a huge plus for me as I am growing out of my shapers. Every women needs a shaper for that little black dress. I never wear my little black dress without my shaper. After all was said in done, my new bra, new newly properly fitted bra actually made me look slimmer in the hips and waist. This is an illusion that not even Chris Angel can accomplish. Even though the customer service needs improvement I did walk out feeling better about myself, my breasts and less self conscious. There's been a little more confidence in my step with this bra. It has an awesome lift and support that I had some people of the opposite sex look in passing, especially in my tight Iron Maiden shirt. On another plus side (no pun intended) the right bra seems to have elevated the tension in my lower back and most of my back pain has been reduced in one full day fitting. read more

My problem with this Change location stems not from the products, but from the customer service. I wanted to drop in and quickly grab a new bra, but needed to be measured. They had one person in the store who showed me to a change room and gave me a robe, and then left me for 20 minutes to attend to other customers. I walked in, said "I need help." and that was that. A wonderful lady helped me get fitted, and then made sure the three bras I purchased fit properly. She was very kind, patient and professional. I walked in wearing a size 36C. I left wearing a 34I. I know, it's insane to me as well. I look like I lost 10 pounds. My wife went in on the weekend for a fitting and what a horrible experience! She had a bad experience at another store and was referred here. To start-lady came in, no greeting no friendly "Hi I'm whoevever. How are you?" Just started measuring. When my wife told her this is too small and hurts, her response was "I'm only measuring you"....??? Why not find out about the PAIN and solve that. She left and said she'd get a manager for some reason and she came in and did the same thing. My wife was in pain and no one tried to help! The new person did the same thing-went to get someone else leaving my wife in pain The girls then decided to go outside and talk about her....until someone pointed out that I was her husband...then they moved to the other side of the store. After she waited in pain in the change room for about 5 minutes, my wife put her clothes in and we left What a rotten way to treat a customer! My suggestion-how about listening?? If someone says they are in pain, try to help get them out of pain instead of arguing? Stop the pain. How do you expect a good experience if you won't take that simple step to make a customer comfortable? Terrible customer experience. read more

Great shop for pregnant ladies! I've always shopped at VS but their bras never fit me perfectly. I have a small band, so always get the 32C before I was pregnant. Now, my boobs just keep growing but my band size didn't change. After trying so many different bras, I just kind of gave up, until I randomly went into Change! The staff was super professional and nice, they provided me the best bra fitting and turns out, I'm normally a 29DD. But due to my pregnancy, they gave me 32DD/E bra so that i still have room to grow. And I don't need to change my bras every two weeks! Each style is different, so you might ending up buying bras with different cup size. But the band size is super important. I've always wonder how come there are no bras fit me comfortably! I'm never going back to VS for sure, the professional standard is just so much higher at Change. This place is FANTASTIC! I'm a regular sized woman who just happens to be pretty busty and I like my lingerie. I have gained a little weight over the years though and I know that I'm not the 36C that I used to apparently be. I went to La Senza to get refitted and was told that I am now a 38D/38DD. OK no worries. I bought a few bras there and went on my miserable way. Why miserable you ask? My bras sucked. I had side boob spillage, back fat, and boob cupcake top. By the end of the day I was usually whipping the bra off as soon as I got into my car after work and that wasn't great either because the ladies weren't getting ANY support that way. My husband insisted that the bras - the same ones that the La Senza staff insisted were a perfect fit - didn't look right and I can tell you that they didn't feel right either. Misery! So I went into Change on a whim one day. Oh sweet baby kittens and ice cream! I had a PROPER fitting! It turns out that yes, I am a 38. A 38J! Good grief! No wonder there were issues! My bras were WAY too small!!!!! So then I began to worry. A J cup sounds massive. Massive bras are all beige and ugly. I don't like beige and ugly. Beige and pretty? Sure. But I had visions of the bad Sears bras that my Grandma used to wear and I don't want to look like my grandma yet. (Acting like her? Sure. I'm fine with eating dinner at 4:00, watching my stories, and making sure the kids next door stay off my lawn. But I want to do those things in nice bras.) OMG the bras were really pretty! AND they were 40% off! Awesome deal AND great bras? OK! So a few weeks in and all three are comfortable enough that I don't even notice that I'm wearing them. I can waive my arms above my head and jump around like a maniac and everything stays in place. I do not have back fat. I do not have squishy side boob leakage or boob muffin top. ALSO my best friend is a trans woman and she was able to go in and get fitted too. They were awesome to her and she was thrilled too. GO HERE. Yes, it takes a little longer than the crappy stores but you're getting really good bras that fit well, look nice, and are not going to make you miserable!!!!! read more

I was greeted by a young indian worker,I didn't get her name. She was very knowledgeable about sizes and found my size in just one try! She very friendly and honest too. She was helping me out and picked several different bikinis for me to try to see which one is to my liking and I really appreciate the efforts. But halfway through my service, she attended to other customers which is fine but when I was at the changing room, she was just leaning on the counter talking to another worker. I called her several times as I needed a size smaller for the bottom bikini but was ignored. Later on when I got out, I was asked by the older indian lady(assuming she is the manager) if I wanted to buy two sets and get a cover up for free. She was pretty pushy about it and I really only liked one of the bikinis I tried. I told her I'll give some thinking about it and left the store for half an hour and came back for the bikini I set my eyes on. The manager seems very unpleasant and unsatisfied. I was thinking of stopping my purchase when she talked to me in a get-outta-here-you-can't-afford-it tone. Currently I'm debating to return my purchase or not, yes I like the bikini, no I dislike the service. read more
