We've continued to try and reach out to Brett. In addition to the lies below, he is now threatening that if we don't pay him he will put a lien on our house. Really? He steals our plants and then he wants to put a lien on our house? If you scroll down (and look at the hidden reviews), you'll see that threatening a lien appears to be his standard approach for dealing with unsatisfied customers. Beware. A simple conversation with us could have resolved everything. We just need resolution on the plants he removed. That's all we have ever asked. He refuses to even discuss it, and now threatens legal action. We have a documented paper trail leading back months that clearly outlines our complaints about his employees' actions, his refusal to communicate, and the theft of our plants and personal property. For him to claim that he hasn't heard from us is an absolute lie. We reached out numerous times to try and find resolution with him. In the end, WE were forced to stop payment because of Brett's lack of response. Yelp reader, take note of how this man deals with issues. The actions on this review, and his actions with us, clearly show that this man does not act in good faith. I would steer clear of him. As far as my past reviews on Yelp showing that 'there was nothing that we could have done to satisfy you' - 60% of my reviews on Yelp are 4 or 5 star. Brett and his crew were great! They installed ~800sq ft of synthetic turf in our yard where it's impossible to grow grass. (Never mind the fact that our back yard is 30+ feet below the street. They carried ALL of the materials and equipment down and up and didn't look phased!!) I was really against the idea of turf before we talked to Brett, but he showed us that it is really a great first choice for a yard, not just a runner-up if your grass won't grow. It feels great, looks great and it's super cost effective!! We're very happy with our new lawn! Plus, Brett made it all easy. read more

Forevergreen Landscaping was recommended to me by a friend who had, had a fantastic experience with them. The tradition continued when the team came to my house. The owner is a true pleasure to work with, he is honest and upfront with time and costs. He has an extensive knowledge about plants and what will work best in a given area. My yard is highly susceptible to deer, and in the past I have had very poor luck trying to have any color in my garden. Forevergreen re-landscaped my front yard with colorful "Deer resistant plants". How many times have you heard that, and within a week after planting come out to get the morning paper to find the four lagged mowers have cleared every edible part of your yard!! Brett is a lifesaver. I called him after our yard person was unable to instal a new rain dial. He came over within minutes, fixed the issue and set everything up properly - all in an hour. He was so knowledgeable, helpful, responsive, fast and a consummate professional. He even changed all my settings, which my plants will be thankful for. I'd think twice before using these guys. I started using them becuase they were working with the previous owners of the home I bought, I believe because they did the landscaping (which does look great if they were in fact the ones to put it in). So while they were an easy option to start with, I should have looked further. I soon learned that I was paying more than double what any of my neighbors we're paying for a similar size yard...and we even have a fake lawn that doesn't need mowing like the everyone else. But besides being expensive, they did a mediocre job at best. It led me to feel that the maintenance side of the business is not really their thing. And because they didn't actually show up on any kind of schedule, it made it next to impossible to have the casual conversation with them about their services; not to mention that it also meant that they couldn't practically maintain the irrigation system timing as they said they would, becuase they'd show up at random times so I wouldn't be there to let them into the garage to get to the timer. And with a random schedule, it meant that I had to pay attention to see if they even showed up at all, which one month they didn't. Though they charged me for that month anyways, and I when I cancelled and didn't pay for the month they didn't show up, I got a phone call from them threatening to put a lien on my home! I called Brett in a panic- we had two weeks to 'spiff up' our yard for a giant party. He responded with a plan to plug holes in the landscaping where plants had died, regrade and irrigate a front-and-center planter, and spread many many yards of mulch. His team came AHEAD of schedule and spent a long day planting about 25 plants and making my property look like a million bucks! They took much more care than others who have done work for me previously. The whole process was unbelievably efficient and reasonably priced. I really appreciated Brett's practical approach to the project and ability to get it done within my tiny window. In the end I felt very proud and confident to host my outside party. It was a pleasure working with Forevergreen start to finish!! Now I hope to have them take over my regular maintenance because their work is top-notch. read more

Forevergreen is the best. They have been around for over 20 years and is a family run business. When you call for an estimate you will either have one of the two brothers come to your house. They do not just send their workers out to do the work. The brothers are on site doing the work. One of the things that is really important is that they speak English. Their work is impeccable. When I bought my house the previous owners let the landscape go.. It was a mess. They really transformed the front yard into a park like setting. In fact, after it was completed I saw a couple that was sitting on the lawn eating their lunch. They must have thought that it was a park. They have continued to do our maintenance ever since. read more

With the help of Brett and his crew they removed our 22 year old front and back yard grass. They added new sod and an irrigation system that was done on time and within budget, and looks great. Warning - Brett and his crew serviced my rental property in Marin. Over the past year, they let my lawn die and did not inform me that the sprinkler system was not functioning. As a result; I had to replace the lawn and install a new controller. I don't blame Brett for the controller, that happens with time. However, I was never informed of the deteriorating landscape conditions even though I would periodically email Brett for a status on the yard. In the spring, Brett emailed me that he would need to raise my rates and would send a proposal; which I never received. The rate increased without my approval on subsequent invoices. When I visited the property and saw the condition of the lawn, I terminated their services. He tried to blame my tenants for turning the water off, but we had the controller tested and it was not functioning. When I questioned the rate increase given their poor service, Brett immediately threatened a mechanics lien on my property if I did not pay the rate increase. read more
