To book a class, it is best to download their Fit by Wix app. You can purchase a plan or do a drop in class of your choosing. They give both in person and zoom classes so if you are someone who prefers to work out at home it is a good alternative. Note, however, that especially in the evening classes you must come on time as there is a no late policy. The trainer and owner, Stephanie, lead my class. She was very helpful and ensured to give me the full tour of the building. It is located in an office building in the basement. It is not the most *aesthetic* workout spot, but well ventilated and made with love. It seems they organize community get togethers as well including hikes, picnics, runs and more. The work-out itself was wonderful! Stephanie was full of energy and gave good directions. It was fun, not too difficult, but worked away on those arms! Excited for my next class!

At 5,000 sq ft it has plenty of space for any Workout of the Day (WoD) and the owners, Joanne and Lance Mittelhotlz have invested in all the best CrossFit equipment. Everything from Atlas Balls to full Olympic weights, sleds, GHD machines, 15' ropes, KB of all weights and so much more. They have showers, change areas, LCD tv playing WoDs and most importantly highly trained Certified CrossFit trainers. As with CrossFit, community is big, and the members of CrossFit Kitchener are welcoming and fun. Everyone supports each other and the atmosphere encourages self development and pride. It's located centrally located with free parking and the hours/classes are extensive. It offers everything from Boot Camp to specialty competition classes. Seriously, CrossFit Kitchener is the place to be if you are serious about making fitness a sport.

This club is run by a longtime CPU (canadian powerlifting union, part of IPF) member. He was the president actually- he is aware of all the Ontario Powerlifting rules and still has the audacity to not communicate to people that have signed up for his meets, take money out of accounts that have already been closed and harass/shame people for wanting a refund. 2. They ran a powerlifting meet - this meet never occurred due to the pandemic. The federation ordered all meet directors to refund their participants. Every meet refunded everyone across Ontario. Except Vault. Who ignored all the lifter's emails/DMs/refund requests for as long as they could until it got blown up on social media. Then they issued a measly little instagram post (still with no email communication to everyone that's paid) saying they are willing to give a credit for a future meet instead. 3. The owner is not trustworthy and was willing to go ahead and steal people's money (some lifters are participating don't even work FT/couldn't even get CERB etc) 4. The place was confirmed OPEN during the pandemic and allowed their own members to train here and continue their memberships (confirmed by members and ex-members) - which was illegal. 5. The owner suggested instead of refunding everyone properly, that he would be ready to run a powerlifting meet in September. Ok- we are not the USA/crazy. People haven't been training, people are suffering during this time - nobody wants to be put in a forced powerlifting meet in September when COVID isn't over in the slightest. It is NOT SAFE to suggest a powerlifting meet in the midst of the pandemic, despite the federation's rules. Overall, very disappointing practices from this place. Though the people that train here may be strong - there are no excuses! Please save your money and do not ever give it to this gym under any circumstances.

I could not be happy and healthy without him, his club and his two wonderful dogs, Daisy and Leoh. Mark is a very accomplished world champion weightlifter (with the physique to prove it). But he is much more than a weightlifter. He is a very very intelligent, well read and empathetic weightlifter. He knows how to show me what I need to do to improve and he does it in such a gentle way that, if I did not know him very well, I would miss the criticism and wrongly believe that I am actually doing well and pushing myself enough. Like Warren Buffett, he knows how to criticize by category but to praise by name. I dislike being criticized even when it is deserved. I have never been offended by him. When he praises me I recognize the difference between "this was truly good" and "this was good but you will do better in the next exercise". The Barbell Club is very well equipped with the best professional weight lifting equipment by Eleiko the Swedish brand that one sees in weightlifting competitions. Not flashy but extremely well built. Eleiko is the Steinway of weight lifting competitions, Steinway being the gold standard for piano concerts and competitions. The space itself is humble (it was a workshop in another time), located in a formerly industrial area of Guelph. I adore the location. Convenient to my house and in a part of Guelph that I particularly love. So that's what you can expect: a simple but extremely well equipped gym, run by a very talented trainer who will make a huge difference in your life, watched over by his two lovely dogs, Daisy, a beautiful St Bernard, and Leoh a chocolate colored retriever. The gym is very clean and the employees were very friendly. I loved that they have communal chalk for free - great for when you forget or if you are a first timer. There are not too many problems to work on here and even fewer overhangs. Although they make up for it by changing a section of the wall every week so it keeps things new and fresh. For a tall person I also thought some problems were too short (I could reach the top after a few steps). Maybe setters can make problems more interesting by setting longer routes. Overall I would still come back whenever I'm visiting Canada again!

The difference being zero help, no ropes, no safety of any kind aside from a padded floor. Some walls are steep and over 20' tall, so a fall can be significant. Guess that's why you sign a waiver. This place is clean and spacious with almost limitless possibilities to suit all skill levels. The colored nodules on the wall indicate a skill level and "path" you should take to reach the top. Using a color other than the one you started with would be considered cheating--but I won't tell. Admission price varies depending on group size and you get admitted for an all-day pass. I would like to see an hourly option since we really only needed 2 hours to get hour fill of fun. We paid about $17 USD per person. Groupon has several offerings to help reduce that cost. My only recommendation would be to offer some sort of instruction, tips, videos, etc related to bouldering. There was only one staff member and he never came over to offer a tip or advice or anything to help us navigate the walls better. They had a TV playing video of rock climbing, but that is of no value here. Overall very enjoyable time with the kids, but I think I prefer Sky Zone instead for the variety of activities available.

Offering up a number of weekly classes, Michelle runs a really fun, positive, and fitness oriented fitness studio. Who is this Michelle? She would be the svelte tower of muscle and blonde hair sweeping across the front of the class, pounding your body in ways you never imagined. Bubbly and as energetic as she is beautiful, a woman does want to instantly hate her. However, she is so suportive of your goals, personal with her Hot Shots members, and encouraging with all those in her classes, you simply can't, even as much as you want to for the punishing workout she doles. I recently finished up an 8 week round of a Goal Getting Program she offers, and it was some of the best money I've ever spent. Not one trainer I am aware of will ever coach you on how to eat. And, this, friends, is revolutionary, once you do learn what you should be eating, how, and when. On top of brutal homeworkouts, weekly meetings, and accountability, you certainly get your money's worth. Want nice abs and an ass like a ripe peach? Muffin top a rubbin? Time for a change? Go see Michelle. Tell her what you want. Sweat. Cry. Bleed. Wet yourself. And come out a winner. I certainly did.

The classes are great and the community is amazing. Complete support, someone always willing to help and absolutely no judgement. Kristina has created a very special environment and the teachers and energy exchange team are all wonderful. From beginners to experienced yogis, you will find your place here. Come ready to sweat and let s@&t go. If your new to yoga, I would recommend starting with the Flow class, it's definitely our favourite.
