Most smaller towns would not have chambers open on Sundays but Forks does. We loved having the trucks outside for a quick souvenir photo op but what makes this stop great was the enthusiasm that the 2 ladies had towards their town and in particular Twilight and how it has impacted the town in a positive way. They sold us on Forks and we ended up having maybe our best day on the peninsula here and around Forks. Loved the handouts they had ready for visitors and the tips they offered to make our visit enjoyable. Can't say enough good things. read more

So if you are a twilight fan, you have to know about the city of Forks Washington. It is the setting for the movie, and there are also a couple of nearby towns mentioned as well. We pulled into town and wanted to get the scoop on where all the filming took place. Spoiler alert, very little if the movie was filmed here. No matter. We still had fun poking around the town, screaming "GO TEAM EDWARD!!!" Sorry team Jacob, but we gotta represent. There was a nice little cafe and it was just a neat little town. Driving into (and around) Forks, it just screams Twilight. And not because of the way it is depicted in the Twilight books and movies, but because everywhere you look, everyone is trying to cash in on the Twilight craze. And hey, absolutely nothing wrong with that. Driving up the 101 and heading into Forks, the Forks CoC was the first spot I came to. Welcome to Forks sign, Twilight tour bus, Bella's truck (complete with cardboard cutout of Bella), "We love Bella & Edward" sign, Twilight poster, etc. Ok, ok, so it was fun to drive around Forks and visit all the Twilight things (Swan house, treaty line, etc.). However, there is a lot more to Forks than Twilight. It is actually a great Olympic Penn town with plenty of non-Twilight things to do. All that said, if Twilight is what draws you to Forks, be sure to stop by the CoC. Take your photo with Bella's truck, take the Twilight tour, and get your fill on things (Twilight and non-Twilight) to do in the Forks area. read more

I have to say, the people who work here are super helpful and friendly. You can tell that they're very proud of Forks and how Twilight put their town on the pop culture map. Besides that, this place is basically a Twilight museum. You can pose with cutouts of your favorite twilight characters, purchase forks high school swag, and hell even see the car Bella supposedly drove. I wish they would have more non-Twilight stuff, like the history of the city or something. Then again, Twilight is what made them well known in the first place. 3.5 stars read more

A quick stop at the chamber of commerce is a good way to learn about the area and pick up some maps. They also sell some twilight merchandise and have cutouts of the characters and Bella's truck(s) outside for a good photo op. The people here are soft friendly and very welcoming. I didn't feel weird about going in and talking to them about twilight with my daughter. My husband and son went next door to the museum. They gave us a map and info of places to see and I felt they were happy we were visiting the area. Big plus out back were some huge beautiful callalillies my favorite flower. For those of you who are adolescent and creaming your pants at the idea of stepping foot into Forks, here's my own personal tour list: -Visit the logging museum: see lots of pictures of people missing arms and legs for the wood that was used to build houses in the NW. Probably your house. -Eat some salmon: it's fresh and good. -Go for a HIKE: The olympic national rainforest IS AROUND YOU!!!! My lord people, you are crapping yourself over a stupid truck and yes the most majestic and beautiful forest is right in front of your EYES! -Visit the beach: *Disclaimer*: No werewolves. The Native Americans are not werewolves, they don't have bulging teen muscles and no, they don't want to take a picture with you. Forks is my home, at least enjoy it for what is has to offer. In response to Karim's review -- the lady who proudly tells everyone she is cited in the end credits of the movie as a rep. of the Forks Chamber of Commerce is Team Jacob, she was totally wearing a "Jacob's Girl" shirt and had a button with a pic of Taylor Lautner [still sporting long hair] on the fleece. So you're not alone, even if you're out numbered. Came in here because I had to take a picture with "Bella's truck" -- and went inside because I wanted a Forks High Trojans t-shirt [which I didn't end up getting because none tickled my fancy]. Super friendly staff who is more than willing to assault you with Twilight knowledge 'til you're ready to get down on the floor and chant "we're not worthy!" a la Wayne's World. I really appreciated how appreciative these people are of the Twilight fandom and how much it's brought financially to the town. As far as the town goes, everyone is super friendly and even if they don't understand WHY we trek to the Twilight Mecca, they're happy we came... as far as the Chamber of Commerce staff goes? They're the biggest fans of all, and it's awesome to sit back and chat them up about everything -- I seriously spent more time chatting with CoC staffers than I did in any other part of the town lol From the self-guided tour guides to the guides of St. Helen's, where a lot of the filming of "Forks" for Twilight actually took place, to a guide on what to do when you're hanging around the area for a couple days, these folks are the authority on Forks and anything and everything Twilight related[as they should be!] As far as the space goes? Cool storyboards signed by Catherine Hardwicke [director of the first film], personal notes from Stephenie Meyer, and Forks 98331 logo'd t-shirts. Dirt cheap souvenir postcards, too! Ok, before you judge, you really should read the first Twilight book. Bless my parents for indulging me on this Twilight tour across the Olympic Peninsula. Honestly, I was screaming and flailing out the window like a fourteen year old at a Jonas Brothers concert. Camera in hand, I hiked up my skinny jeans and braved the criticism which was sure to ensue as I walked into this quaint little building. "Hi, um.... I like Twilight" I managed to stutter as the door slammed a little harder than it should have and at least a dozen tweens turned to gawk at the grown man reduced to mumbling and whimpering upon arriving at the mecca of all things Twilight. "Welcome, come right on in!" Was a hearty response from the docent on duty. After that, I knew I was not being judged, but rather welcomed into the fold of the thousands upon thousands of people who've fallen in love with the series. The actual chamber of commerce is tiny, though they do have some fairly witty bumper stickers you can't get anywhere else in town, along with men's options for clothing, and accessories related to the books. They also offer up all sorts of maps to places like the Swan residence, Forks High School, the Hospital (where Carlisle has a reserved spot!), and a couple other areas of interest. They also have a replica of Bella's beat up pickup truck parked out front, and are hosts to the official Stephanie Meyer Day (September 13, also Bella's birthday) festivities. All in all, i applaud Forks for embracing the phenomenon and being so friendly to the throngs of people swarming this quaint little mill town, which was once nothing more than a speck on the map. The books have brought them much needed revenue, and they've brought us much needed fulfillment and entertainment. The only criticism I would have of this place is the heavy bias towards Edward... All the glowing reviews of this place are from fans of the Twilight series. I went to the Olympic Peninsula to see beautiful scenery. My husband and I happened to stop by the Forks Chamber of Commerce because 1) they had a picnic table and we could use it to eat our lunch and 2) they had a bathroom, and my husband needed to use it. Three stars for the bathroom and picnic table. There were brochures and the like inside as well in case anyone needed them. BUT...the woman who was working (volunteering???) for the Chamber of Commerce was actually rather rude to me. When asked if I needed information, I responded that I was merely waiting for my husband to be finished in the restroom. She pressed further, and I told her that I "had it covered". She seemed visibly miffed. At this point, I wanted to ask her where I could find Fangtasia. ;-P Woops, wrong series. read more

There's so much to do in Forks regarding TWILIGHT. Because the film wasn't made in Forks but is about Forks they have a driving tour around town that highlights the places you know of in the book and movie, like the swans house, hospital, police station...It's put on by the Chamber of Commerce, of course! What do you expect them to do with all these devoted fans showing up in their tiny town! Give them what they need, more Twilight. I took my kids, they loved it, we took pictures of everything, went to Twilight shops. It made me the coolest mom in the world and I paired it up with a trip to the Olympic National Park. When I planned my visit to forks, as a twilight fan seeing bellas truck was on my list of things to do, but on the day of my visit there was some building work going on, they made it very difficult to get a picture of the trucks as the builders trucks were parked all around, the workmen seemed annoyed at us trying to get pics like we were getting in their way. The lady inside was very friendly and helpful though and gave us lots of info about the films read more

I went there and Was surprised by how welcoming everybody is. I took a picture with the cardboard cut out of edward and even stood by the truck. I went on the book tour, not he bus tour because $35 is too much for one person. The 16 Hour drive was worth it! The forest was BEAUTIFUL! read more
