The staff has always gone the extra mile --and staff is extremely friendly in doing so. One of the ways Gilboe's is outstanding is the way the therapists remain with you through the whole session, rather than telling you what to do and leaving you to figure it out. There is always a specialist available, there are always convenient appointments available. They have an excellent hand specialist who is one of very few in this area. Recently, Jessica and Sue helped my husband rehabilitate from a hip replacement. They got him up and moving with a great, progressive program. There is a reason that the average staffer has been there over 20 years, with little turnover. David Gilboe is a nice man and clearly keeps his employees happy. Thanks, Gilboe's!

Instead, she said as long as you're here let's do some different stretching. She tied a band around my good leg, my good foot, held it tight and told me to turn my ankle without turning my leg, I told her it was hurting all the way up to my thigh. She said that's OK. You're using muscles. You haven't used before. She continued to do this regardless of me telling her it was uncomfortable and I was getting a Charlie horse in my upper thigh. We did this for one minute One Direction one minute the other direction pulling against that band that she was holding tight. When I left and went to get in my car, my knee was bothering me to step up into my car by that afternoon. My knee was aching and by that night, I could hardly walk. I have an appointment this morning with the orthopedic surgeon as it has kept me awake at night and I can't walk my dog. She's done something to my good knee that didn't have a thing wrong with it before I came in would never recommend this place!

Note to introverts or neurodivergent: This facility tends to be rather loud. The therapists and…read morestaff are very chatty with each other, and not necessarily with their clients. If you need a quieter and more private experience, you'll want to specifically mention that when checking out other PT facilities. I have had physical therapy before and I have never had a therapist/technician working with two clients at one time. That may be the norm now, but it certainly wasn't in the past and that is the experience you will have at this facility. The intake room was private and quiet, but the physical therapy that goes on in the main part of the facility is open to everyone and rather small. I wouldn't have a problem with that if the staff were attentive to their clients rather than socializing with each other, but that was not the case. The targeted exercises, availability at this facility, and the Limber app were all great. Unfortunately, the overall experience was too loud and distracting for me to consider using them long-term.

I'm walking and balancing better with a numb foot, and all the muscles involved are learning their jobs. If your doctor orders physical therapy, don't mess around. I've been treated at various PT practices over the years, and Advanced Physical Therapy is the best. It's small, comfortable, and well-staffed. Another tip: Don't trust your body to untrained amateurs. I made that mistake at Stretch Lab, and I suffered for a week.

This review comes full of tears because I remember the pain I felt when i first saw Doctor Stephen…read moreWilson over 10 years ago. I never knew it would be this long but our bodies deliver us challenges that sometimes we have to accept and try our best to overcome them. I was referred to him by my pharmacist at C**. He was the 1st Dr to touch my back in years of muscle spasms. And my face broke out in a sweat. After years of treatment and open communication I am doing very well. I realize that if I was treated as a non human I would still be in agonizing pain and my life would be very difficult as well as mentally exhausted. Because that's what pain does it drains your source of life. I respect Dr Wilson because he listens to me, his staff his very accommodating to scheduling and I don't and can't imagine my everyday life of functioning as a regular human being without the treatment I get here. I am thankful that I am a happy functioning part of the world we call life. I used to live 5 minutes away from his office now I am 40 minutes away and I still choose to come here. He is a respectful Dr to your health and your time. I never wait more than 5 minutes for my appointment time which is important to me.

I must admit it did take a while too be seen by Dr. Wilson. It was well worth it!…read more I first took the tile to research his type of practice and scheduled my appointment at of time when I felt I could get the best attention. Dr. Wilson confirmed what I already knew. In the end it cost me nothing. I've worked for at least seven doctors of various fields from my early 20's including radiology and in a laboratory. I also worked on the Detroit Fire Department, EMS Division. I found that depending on the type of specialties, ones doctor may require additional time depending on the case. Doctor Wilson is very meticulous when making a diagnosis. That alone can cause a backup within patient care during a clinic session, in the emergency room or out in the field during an emergency. I found Dr. Wilson to be a very capable doctor who's working during Covid-19, which can cause delays. I also found his staff too be very capable. If there's a problem he could easily have regular bimonthly staff meetings with a focus on improving timely patient scheduling and billing to better meet patient care. Remember, the doctor and his/her staff should function as a family with the patients well-being in the forefront. Would I revisit or recommend? Yes.
