They had a bunch of wood block prints of the same guy who did the famous print of a tsunami wave crashing in front of Mount Fuji. Cool! The gallery had thoughtfully placed interpretive signs throughout the gallery talking about the significance of the pieces and a bit of info about each piece, along with the artists' names, and the media used. They also had a separate area for a specific artist, where they could spread out and show off a variety of works in 2 and 3 dimensions. There was an attendant on duty, but she kept to herself, other than welcoming me in, and thanking me for stopping by. Near the exit, scope out the free stuff! Instead of a store, they just ask for a small donation- I got a bunch of postcards, a few books, and a pencil! Score! The gallery is a quiet respite from the student union. It has limited seating, and I'm not sure if this is an appropriate place to bring a book and read for hours. But if you just need a change of pace after getting lunch at the student union, this is a great place to check out. It's free!

Truthfully, I…read morenever bought books here when I was student because I was always able to find them cheaper at the off campus stores. But, I will say the amount of Aggie merchandise is outstanding! Way more then you'd ever find at the other outfitter creation stores. They care several higher quality name brands too. Ladies- the women's selection is great! If you want something sporty yet still flattering, come here! It may cost a little more but with brands like Columbia, Jansport, and Under Armor, I think it's worth it. I also this it's great how many Aggie written books you can find here. They often host book signings by former classmen who have authored books. With the remodeling of the MSC, a full size convenient store and a Starbucks with lounge have been added. Really great place to take visitors. Fair warning on gamedays though... the place gets extremely packed, but thankfully they set up line control at the registers so help get people on their way.

The two ladies that served us were very pleasant and happy to be of service! I was genuinely impressed at how happy these two ladies were to be helping us enjoy our evening of catching up. I must say, every employee I encountered was very pleasant. Working at the BKG & Wine Depot must be enjoyable because you could tell they all genuinely loved their work. I was able to meet the owner; he made sure to greet each guest and make sure they felt welcome; he is nothing short of wonderful! Since it was a chilly night, we only had a few people enjoy the amazing outdoor space they have. I can see that this outdoor space would call to the small group of friends wanting to catch up or the individual that needs to wind down after work and get deeper into that book they have been meaning to spend more time with! While in the area, make a point to stop and get your relax on! You will not be disappointed! Most Sincerely!

What an AMAZING school!…read more This was my first visit and we didn't even go to a football game! Our son is playing a golf tournament on the A&M course and we wanted to check out the campus. Our kids want to go to college here. Couldn't believe how HUGE this campus is! We saw many so bikes and scooters out and about. The campus was BEAUTIFUL and SO CLEAN. Excited to (eventually) go to a football game in one of the largest stadiums in N. America. My husband and I have been talking about how we love the values this school has. We would be proud to have our kiddos go here.

At the time it was the least expensive state university in Texas. I really had no idea how prestigious it was when I applied. I just knew I wanted to be involved with the ocean and study Marine Biology. As time went by, I discovered I'd jumped into the deep end. For example,I took both semesters of organic chemistry during the summer and had never been that challenged. Later to find out that's considered to be the most rigorous Organic Chemistry course in the United States. By the way, I just found out ,that professor recently retired after teaching there 47 years! Sometimes life hands you an opportunity that later proves us humans can stumble into situations good for us. As a young man having no idea what I was getting into,in the final analysis, this school had a tremendous influence on the way I learned, challenged myself, grew and prospered in life. The reason for this review today is,I just read where Texas A&M campus police are discontinuing, arrest on campus, of students possessing less than two ounces of marijuana. Fantastic...time marches on and...it's about time!!!!
