This is one of the most underwhelming rooms we have stayed in:…read more The Good: Clean bedding and bed height was 28". The breakfast bar variety was good. Annoying: The room was really small. No freezer in the fridge which was a micro micro - barely held our meager items. The tv remote batteries were taped in as something had happened to the back closure. Downright obnoxious: The loose toilet seat that had a lot of free movement and the toilet paper was mounted on the wall behind the toilet. The missing coffee ground holder tray for the room coffeemaker (we resorted to getting our coffee from the courtesy table that was just down the hall). The wad of chewed gum parked behind the headboard of the bed we didn't use. Only one nightstand between the two beds which is where the power outlets were located. No power outlets were on the walls that did not have a nightstand. We made a nightstand by stacking 3 pillows on the luggage rack and setting the ice service tray on the top. So yeah, not a great experience and we won't book there again.

Matthew helped my check in process go smoothly and he was so polite! Great representation of the company!!

ICK!!!!!!! This was the most disgusting hotel that we've ever stayed at EVER!!!!!…read more We were scheduled to stay for a week, but there was no way. We had no choice but to stay that evening... So we went across to Walmart, and picked up cleaning supplies lots and lots of Lysol wipes. We checked out the next day...along with several others who came to town for a family event/wedding. Do yourself a huge favor and do NOT stay at this disgusting hotel!!!! We had false eyelashes stuck on our headboard, pubic hair in our shower and pee around the toilet base...ICK!!!!!!! We spoke to management (Tyler/Kyler) and housekeeping about these issues, they did come to our business suite, to view these issues and acted shocked by what they were viewing. Housekeeping was nice... and offered to do what they could to improve this situation. The manager was way beyond rude, he actually asked my husband and I what we'd like him to do...really?? How about YOUR JOB!?!!?! Learn how to run a hotel, your staff and take some etiquette classes. Actually go take notes from the Radisson in Bismarck, because they're fantastic!!!!!! He (Tyler/Kyler) was so very arrogant and snarky, and this is the General Manager?! Horrifying* He told us he was busy hosting an 800 person event and didn't have time to deal with this situation. Well there was NO event going on at this hotel, not on this particular evening. The reason why we chose this hotel is because we had a family event/wedding taking place that weekend. I can't begin to tell you how many things went wrong. Desserts were not put out... however; we were charged for them being put out. I personally went to the kitchen and asked to get the desserts from the fridge and I put them out. These were specialty desserts that we paid for and brought in to the hotel...that they said they'd take care of. That did NOT happen. During dinner many people were not served including my son... so I went and got a plate/dinner for him. The water pitchers on the head table were all empty. Several people had asked for refills, it didn't happen. I went to the bar area and they were very helpful and gave me extra pitchers and allowed me to fill them with water to bring up to the head table. The women's bathroom was out of service halfway through the reception. A sign was put on the door, out of order...no one came to fix that situation. It wasn't a major problem, as they were just out of toilet paper, and the trash bins were flowing over....It was just a real stinky mess. Would've been an easy fix, if people just would've done their jobs. I called a week after the event/wedding to talk with (or complain to) KYLIE, who was a wedding coordinator of ours. She was the most disrespectful out of them all!!!!!!! What a joke of an employee* She made some very obnoxious, rude and disgusting comments...that were recorded by myself. *She's (KYLIE) lucky that I haven't posted them, but that's always a possibility. She had the audacity to tell me to calm down and then asked me if they did anything right at all? She told me she had a meeting to attend and she would call me later, then she hung up on me. It would seem, due to her lack of education or being able to effectively communicate, that hanging up on paying customers (the wedding and one horrifying night/hotel stay) was the only option in her thought process. Sad* It has been one week and no one (KYLIE) called back...of course not because she has NO integrity to do the right thing. It's easy for KYLIE to be disrespectful or to hide behind a phone or computer. ICKY...and so very insecure and most definitely immature. No one seems to care at the Baymont about cleanliness, respect, or doing things the right way. All they care about is taking your money, and giving you a whole lot less than you paid for. We made the best that we could of our time spent in that hotel However; if we could do it all over again...there is absolutely NO way that we'd have an event held there or stay there. NO WAY!!! On the plus side... Thank goodness for good people, as we went onto the Radisson in Bismarck, and experienced so many blessings!!!!! It was clean, so clean and the people were very helpful and friendly!!! The prices were right, only a few dollars more than the icky Baymont. We were even able to book the presidential suite and 5 other rooms on such short notice. A huge thank you to all the wonderful staff at the Raddison!!!!! This is the place to stay... so many positive things about the hotel!! Also lots of neat shops and restaurants in the surrounding area/walking distance from the Radisson. However; the hotels restaurant is very good and with speedy service, if you choose not to leave the hotel. Please DO NOT stay at or hold any of your events at the Baymont in Mandan, ND...It's truly disgusting, and so very disappointing on soooooo many levels!!! Choose the Radisson...wish we could go back in time and have our event/wedding at the Radisson in Bismarck, ND!!

She said very rudely "what do you need" well I'm here to check in. Whatever. I got checked in. Asked if they had any other rooms available and was told no. Again whatever. My kids and I went to our room. Room was ok until we went and used the sink and it poured water on the floor the front desk people again (Tayzen and Trinity) (finally found out names) were very irritated that I came up telling them I was having an issue. I asked for maintenance which thankfully I got! He was great by the way!!! Fixed my sink! We went to the pool there were absolutely no towels so we went to ask for towels to which these people replied "we have none and that's not our job" like ok if you really don't like your job this much maybe find a different one. Whatever. Met the night manager and oh my goodness she was a saint Sabrina was a doll I appreciate you so very much told me to talk to Bryce the morning manager to have everything sorted out and he did that and so much more! Sabrina and Bryce made a $h!+ stay into something so much better! But Baymont come on and fix your staff! Tayzen and Trinity are a joke and need customer service training!

We went back to the front desk and they took care of us - getting us a new room (which was actually an upgrade)! They said they would refund us completely and after calling them and connecting with Expedia (I booked the room through Expedia) I received a full refund. Unmatched customer service. As far as the Home2Suites hotel goes, the room we had was large and clean. We were only there for one night, but there was an entire living room in addition to the king suite and bathroom. If I have to nit pick something, the soap dispenser in the shower was empty and the extra bedding was missing pillowcases (I like a bed full of pillows). Not even worth taking a star away because the customer service was just outstanding. Breakfast was great in the morning, who doesn't love waffles?! Hot coffee, oatmeal, bagels and toast, fruit, and cereal. Overall, a wonderful stay.

After a 24-hour drive from Seattle, I arrived to find an empty, lifeless lobby--no fireplace, no other guests, and even the small retail counter was completely bare. The only staff member present appeared very young and visibly unprofessional, with hickeys covering her neck. I had my ID and credit card ready and simply mentioned that I was a returning guest and asked for the best available room rate. That should have been straightforward. Instead, I stood waiting for about 15 minutes before she told me she needed to call her boss. When I asked if there was a problem, she explained that it was her first day, she didn't know what she was doing, and that she had been left alone at the front desk. That was the breaking point. After an exhausting drive, I wasn't interested in being someone's training exercise. I asked for my card back and left to stay elsewhere. This experience points to one thing: poor management. Leaving an untrained employee alone to run an entire hotel--especially during the holidays--is unacceptable. It's disappointing, because I've historically had good experiences with La Quinta and expected better. Unfortunately, I won't be returning to this location.

They didn't have a room ready for us until 6pm, and that was only after continuously hounding the staff that they needed to get something cleaned for us STAT. (They managed to knock $20 off our original room price. Not nearly enough if you ask me.) We got to our room and noticed that we only had 1 clean towel. Our toilet paper had not been replaced, they had not replaced the complimentary soap in our bathroom, so we had nothing to wash our hands with.
