Review for Ft Bliss Exchange Manager and Shipping Dept. Team that packs up online orders. TRAIN YOUR TEAM My last AAFES online orders have shipped from the Fort Bliss Exchange, Shipping Department. Last three orders placed on AAFES, again all shipped from Ft Bliss Exchange, have ALL ARRIVED BROKEN. Three claims filed with online AAFES. Last Order from FT Bliss, arrived 30 Oct 25, also arrived with extensive damage, all 6 items. No padding on the items, one piece of brown paper around a 2 lb Resin Figurine / Candle Holder. No bubble wrap, no styrofoam, no air pockets pillow things - they beat each other up as they travelled to San Diego area. No damage to box, not FedEx's fault. FOLLOW UP MONDAY: NOV 3: I called and spoke to GM / Store Manager, very nice of her to take my call. She said no one from AAFES online orders, had reached out to let them know of breakage issue with online orders shipped out of Fort Bliss Exchange complex. In the whole scheme of things this is not important, but it is a big waste of money & customer time ( Customer has to call shopmyexchange, start claim process, supply photos and then wait for return or even exchange ) - She said she would pass the packing / breakage issue to the shipping department. Bubble Wrap is a wonderful thing. This was 3 separate shipments, all the same items, all arrived damaged due to lack of padding. I did this claim business three times and I am tired. No more 2 lb frogs for me - this was a total of 15 broken frogs in 3 separate shipments. I am having nightmares of Bath & Body Works frogs crippled and damaged chasing me thru the house. I have PTFD, post traumatic frog disorder. read more

Fairly good PX. Like everyone at the moment it suffers from inventory shortages, but then anything AAFES will have inventory shortages when times are normal. Still, it has a decent selection, and the prices are reasonable. read more

I just got back from deployment with a broken phone and needed a new one fast and cheep. Henry at the counter approached me and I told him what I needed. He helped me get the best option at a great price, and helped get me set up with AT&T. He made sure all information was in order, and that I had all necessary accessories for my purchase. This costumer service performed all this while giving on the job training to Cat who was phenomenal, and picked up training with ease. This was an awesome service that took less then twenty minutes. They got me through quick, and I didn't even need a phone to complete it. Just have your info in order go in, go out. Great service! read more

Be far the largest and best main exchange that I've ever visited in over 35 years of government service. Both my spouse and I was overwhelmed with everything that this Main Exchange had to offer for the military community. This entire facility was well maintained and cleaned to very high standard. There is no doubt that I'd visit them again, the next time I'm in the Fort Bliss area. read more

Only one thing to say about this place. The doors are falling apart, and are barely held in place, but they have the audacity to post a sign that "due to high winds, use other door". No, the doors falling over are not due to wind, are due to lack of care from the Exchange management. This is by far the best post exchange in the Army! Well planned and built, cleaned, plenty of food choices, huge px, relaxing waiting area for the pharmacy, thoughtful cooling station for both kids and adults, kids playing area, the cinemas are awesome (specifically for a Military installation) Buffalo Wild Wings, Texas Road House, Orange Julius, under armour store, dollar store, badass class six, plenty of options to get a hair cut, clothing and sales. The list goes on. Everything is nicely connected and parking is okay. They have reserved parking for people who are quickly going to the armed forces bank, for pregnant women, for general's and their wifes and your basic handicap parking. They hold concerts every once in a while. Starbucks has a nice outside sitting area where parents can watch their kids play at the kids water fountain play area. Etc.. Yes I like it a lot! read more

I've seen and visited over a dozen post exchanges and this one isone of the best. Hawaii has a pretty good one as well. The store is continuing to make progress and make improvements. I have been here for 3 years and have seen the changes. Anything you need or want you can find the item here. You have to have a government identifcation to make purchases. One good thing is you do not pay any taxes on items bought. So make sure you compare prices because with taxes you may have to buy from here. My kids love coming here because my son loves the electronics as well as the toy section. He pretty much knows where to go when we come here. Plus with the food court colocated you get to eat and shop of shop and eat but recommend you eat then shop. Also there is movie theather in the area where you can watch first run movies for a good price. Now that I am writing this, this could give the Hawaii PX a run for its money as one of the best locations. read more

One of the best facilities I've visited. The entire complex of facilities should be a model for all ACTIVE military bases. The variety of services available in the shopping complex is amazing. Now, sone of the content of the BX is priced above outside stores and needs to be addressed of Asfes wants to remain competitive. Especially the women's clothing line. Aafes butter need to be better in tune with its customers and their financial limitations. read more

Worst place ever, they want to try and offer competitive pricing on furniture then tell u it's gonna arrive 4-6 months from now. That is literally what I was just told! So of course I switch couches and get told oh this will be 6 weeks! They really have no hustle in getting u furniture. Save ur time and money and go somewhere else to shop! Absolutely horrible place, shop elsewhere!! One I have to look thru their whole stack of carts to fine one the wheels aren't falling off of and two prices aren't even close to cheaper than other stores. Even the commissary has cheaper prices on non grocery items than the px. I've been in more remote places that have better stocking and prices than this place! I think this PX is decent. It's big enough and they got everything you need. I didn't know that but they do price matching. If you can bring something to prove that the stuff you wanna buy is cheaper at a different store, they'd match the price for you. What's cool about it is that they don't charge tax so you would save some. I would recommend you to come here first if it's a big shopping like buying TV or laptop, and see if they carry the product you're gonna buy. read more

I like the px mainly for one reason. Razors. Lol. I found that the kind of disposable razors i want and need are only here for the best price. Everything else, body wash, deoderant, lip balm.. commissary for cheaper prices because thats how i roll! They got some pretty good clothes and accessories for a pretty good deal, i will admit. Name brand and all that foo foo stuff that im just not into. Every now and then, i manage a steal on some cute clearance shoes but i would never buy anything full price.... because thats how i roll! Lol I also love the px for a nice versatile option of food! I almost always love the teriyaki grill and my husband, his taco bell or Boston Market. Our all time fave is Texas Roadhouse though! And then bounce to Baskin Robbins right after, either way we go... because thats how we roll! All the vendors and other shops offer a great selection of gift ideas. They seem to change up all the time too. Because thats how they roll! read more

As far as Army posts go, I gotta give a nod to the Ft Bliss PX. It has everything you need and at a somewhat reasonable price. Tax free shipping is always a plus... And I might be wrong but I'm sure they price match too? Now then, Freedom Crossing in general gives this px a star bump... If you're at the PX then by default you're at freedom crossing. It's pretty legit. Until I came here, the nicest exchange I've ever been too, is the exchange on Kadena AirForce Base in Okinawa Japan. That exchange alone is equal to, if not sliiiightly better than here. But again, the Freedom Crossing aspect of Ft Bliss gets it a 4th star. When you talk about everything you need, it's really EVERYTHING you need.... Plus... You can buy guns here... You have no idea the number of times I've been out and needed to pick up a dog bed, toilet paper, and a semi auto pistol! Finally a place for all three and so much more... Awwww, How American! Don't waste your money here my husband and I bought a couch here and didn't last even a year it was so expensive, everything is overpriced and don't even bother with the star card it's a rip off and a waste of time. Most of the employees are rude they will ether ignore, annoy, or be rude to you. It does have a good variety of things but they have a small section for cat stuff compared to dog stuff. The outside has dead flowers all the time, opened things in the makeup section I would highly recommend going somewhere else. The clothing is ether for babies or adults but a terrible section for women unless you're older. The food court is the best place out of all of this tbh amazing food and choices, most people are nice and has fast service. read more

The staff at this PX are doing everything they can to provide for those in quarantine at CRC. Being able to email orders is literally the best thing this base has to offer when you're in prison. My national guard unit mobilized out of Fort Bliss for our deployment, so I have short exposure to the post and it's amenities. The BX is comparable in size to the ones at Ft. Lewis & Ft. Bragg, the staff seem friendly or polite and there's plenty of parking but on busy weekends don't expect to park close to it. Long lines during the holidays. Even the 10 item or less is at least a 20 minute wait. If you're a parent the kids sections are pretty large with a few racks of 50% off. Several "50% and 75%" tagged clothing racks but even I didn't break down for a orange addidas climalite running shirt. If you want souvenirs, they have stuff for Texas (magnets, cups, snow globes) and for Ft. Bliss (ashtray for example) but none of it really appealed to me for Christmas gifts. I overheard one private remark $23 for a hat seemed a bit much but he walked off with it anyway. There's about 4 different kinds of Ft. Bliss t-shirts and 1st AD t-shirts but the colored ones in size large are gone. Downside - no toddler sized t-shirts with Ft. Bliss on it. As far as men's suits - it's a VERY limited selection. The women seem to be more upscale, fashionable and snazzy dressers than men in El Paso, so that's probably why they don't stock many Armani, Hugo Boss or Versace suits. The men's shoe section was so so as far as selection goes. The most popular section for men seemed to be the Under Armor clothes, the sweatshirts were snapped up fast. In the men's department, the 5.11 section there were sizes other BXs like Fort Belvoir VA, Fort Bragg NC and Fort Meade MD didn't have. If you're a 1st AD vet (I'm not) there's tons of sweatshirts, t-shirts, shorts, etc. with the 1st AD Div logo on them but most of the green colored ones are gone, so hope you like purple, red or blue. A few clothing items with Ft. Bliss on them but not many. Around the holidays, there's Texas themed Christmas cards. read more

This exchange looks great, but AAFES is a rip-off. Your receipt may say you're not paying tax, but you are. You can find anything they sell cheaper anywhere else. I went there looking for a new Apple Watch for my wife. The watch plus tax at Target was the tax free price at the Exchange. Don't waste your time buying here or getting a Star Card. As for gas at AAFES; go a few miles up the road and you can find gas 20-40 cents per gallon cheaper. AAFES is supposed to sell products and gas which are affordable for service members but they only inflated their prices over the years and do nothing but take advantage of service members and their families. Your money will go farther if you went to Walmart or use Amazon. read more

It has its pluses and minuses. I have found basically everything in the PX can be found off post cheaper. That includes Gas.

The off post gas station/off of Ellerthorp is not monitored by anyone so the entire community uses it to fill up because it's cheap gas. Me being a retired military member am appalled by the lack of caring by the employees at the exchange gas station. When mentioned to them they say we can't monitor the pumps. So I served for 23 years and the civilians can use the same facility. What's wrong with this situation, really! read more

I have always liked to shop at The px stores wherever we go, but this one deserves a higher rating than the rest! This px have some insane deals once in a while where you can get great clothing for the whole family for such a low cost! Even brand shoes!! The store itself is always clean, and i have yet to encounter a cashier who isn't nice. Overall, its a great place to shop around. Plus, no taxes read more

So we've always been stationed at pretty small bases where the exchange is more like a lesser version of Walgreens. This one is pretty big with a lot of offer for food and things to do. But stay away at lunch time, it gets packed. read more

Really friendly and helpful retail employees. There are plenty of unique kiosks and products to keep you busy and entertained inside the main exchange. If you are craving traditional foods for the area, the Freedom Crossing location is pedestrian friendly and has plenty of fast food joints nearby. Everything is family friendly and the streets are clean. Be sure to adhere to the speed limit to avoid a run in with any MPs. read more

honestly can't complain about this px. it is huge. basically a walmart because they have anything and everything you would need (besides groceries, which can be bought at the commissary right next to it) employees have never been rude and are always helpful. haven't had a bad experience in here yet. would definitely recommend if your trying to buy name brands for cheap, plus no tax! read more

There are lots of choices for things to eat at the food court! The little shopettes are interesting and behind the shopettes there is a place for nursing mothers and babies to sit and relax in comfy chairs! I use the little nursing area when my baby gets too distracted by other people and we have never had anyone say anything about us nursing out in the food court.
