This was the first theater where I saw Bloody Sunday, Moon Rise Kingdom, The Grand Budapest Hotel, and too many documentaries to count. These movies will make you feel something inside, whether that be joy or sorrow. Of course main stream films are played here but I go to find gems like The Leftovers the last great film I saw in recent years. I'm excited to see the new movie about Anthony Bourdain soon. The fresh butter popcorn and the ice cold fountain drinks really hit the spot. This is the best theater I've ever been to in my life. If you're not coming here to watch films you are missing out. But that's okay I don't want everyone taking the good seats.

In the past, I have had many positive experiences, which is why my interaction today was especially disappointing. I was helped by a representative named Destiny, and unfortunately, the level of customer service I received was extremely poor. From the beginning of the interaction, her attitude came across as dismissive and unwelcoming. My family and I made a simple request for an extra popcorn container so we could share our popcorn, but instead of trying to help or responding in a friendly manner, Destiny made the situation feel like we were asking for something unreasonable. Her tone, facial expressions, and overall demeanor made us feel uncomfortable. When I asked a question, she appeared visibly annoyed, sighed, and acted as though our request was a burden. Customer service should be about making guests feel valued, not making them feel like they are causing an inconvenience. To make matters worse, she also failed to provide the candy and drink that were part of our order, which showed a lack of care and attention. What should have been a fun outing with my family was negatively affected by an interaction that could have easily been handled with basic courtesy and professionalism. I hope AMC takes this feedback seriously and works with Destiny to improve her customer service approach. Employees represent the company, and guests deserve to be treated with patience, respect, and a positive attitude.

She was a sweetheart and comped our tickets and said she hoped we had a happy birthday and enjoy the show!! When we went back to her house, she told her husband that's what she wanted for her birthday in December was to take her to the movies! They've been married for 41 years!! The comfort level of the seats were amazing and a full bar is there!! I wish we had one like this in Mt. Pleasant!! Ours is nasty !! The lighting for the show (The Supper Table) was also good. However, the sound wasn't great for some of the actors. There were about 14 actors on stage at once. But two of them had mics that came in and out or that sounded like static. I will try to make it to another show in the fall.

Basically it was teasing us - it would drizzle then stop. It would rain pretty hard, then stop. Luckily, the heavens never opened up - would have been a waste of a great event! I especially enjoyed the Chill Pops - homemade popsicles with a huge variety of flavors. I got the watermelon and my friend Sarah had the honey-peach. In addition to the popsicles, there were tomato sandwiches, fresh local beer from River Rat and Conquest, and lots of restaurant stands. Oh! The bands! My favorite was "Alternate Routes." There was 2 places for live music and the bands were pretty good. The thing I found disappointing was the amount of food vendors there. With the name being Tasty tomato I was expecting a lot of places highlighting the use of tomatoes and there was probably about a dozen food vendors and it seemed like they were either selling pimento cheese or a tomato salad as their tomato dish. There was plenty of varieties of beer and a place selling bloody maries. My one question in my mind when we walked the farm is we saw pears growing, the micro greens growing, egg plant, etc but we didn't see one tomato plant on our walk. I guess all in all if this was billed as a concert (which we would not have gone to) then this would have been great just misses the mark for me as a tomato festival where I thought food was going to be the focal point.
