A nice quiet park close to my daughter's preschool. The tree house is lots of fun and the fake grass is a nice addition.

The barbell area set aside for deadlifts and squats was like added as an afterthought - it's in a small, cramped, crowded corner at the back of the free weights area. It's like a tight little nook with all artificial light, and it's very awkward and demotivating waiting your turn in such a tiny space crowded to the max with sweaty bodies and weights. Meanwhile, the outer portion of the gym where the treadmills and cardio machines are is huge by comparison, but at any given time only a few people are using the treadmills with many unused. They could have put more of the barbells and squat equipment there to alleviate the crowing and calustrophobia in the free weights area. There's no breathing room in such a crowded environment! BTW, to be fair, the location in Old Town Alexandria is MUCH bigger and uses their floorspace much better. Even though it's a little farther away from my house, I go their whenever I can. The layout is awesome, you can breathe, and concentrate much better on your workout, instead of fighting crowded bodies and metal equipment everywhere you turn in a tiny little corner of the weight room. As a member of OneLife's all-access plan I'm grateful I can go there too. It's a 5 star location. Overall, not complaining about OneLife as a whole, just the layout of the Crystal Park location which seriously needs to be redesigned.

The majority of the park's visitors would be walkers, joggers or bikers. The park is in great shape and features an array of workout equipment including: chest press, hand bike, dips, pull-ups, inclined crunches, leg press, and leg extension. In addition to the equipment, you will find a half basketball court in the park where you can shoot some J's. The stations are linked by a nice paved walkway and all the stations are on a rubber surface. I would take about 30 to 45 minutes to do the full circuit. This is a nice park, but I have never seen anyone really using the equipment. I do like the use of the space and the fact that the park is there if anyone wants to use it. I see this park being used as a quick fitness stop for someone already out jogging or riding a bike. It is kind of secluded, so its lack of use my partially be due to people not seeing it.

I'm impressed that they've taken into account those in wheel chairs as well. It is semi secluded from cars and people traffic yet flowers are abloom, and birds serenade you as you get trim. There is also a small basket ball court. A bit further up the path are two volleyball courts. This is a great use of space in an urban city.

After swimming during their "family time," we will definitely be back. Here's why. 1) Admission: Run by Arlington Parks and Rec, admission is required for everyone. It's slightly cheaper for Arlington residents. Our friends who went right when family time started paid $25 as D.C. residents. We got their with only two hours left and weren't charged anything. 2) Pools: One side has lap pools for adults and lessons. The other side has a large pool, lazy river, little kid space, and water slide for families. The water was clean and the lazy river was fun. (The current is stronger than expected making it fun.) 3) Space: They have family changing areas with showers with hot water, lockers (bring your own locks), and more. Upstairs is a gym and an outdoor terrace bleeding into Long Bridge Park with views of National Airport and Washington, D.C. 4) Parking: With such a large parking lot, you can usually find a space. Of course, parking is free. 5) Area: Afterwards, grab lunch or dinner at nearby Crystal City where you can find fats casual like Rasa and sit-down restaurants.

Located below the I-495 -Woodrow Wilson Bridge, the park is right at the southernmost point and great water views of Virginia and sites within Maryland like the National Harbor across the Potomac River. There is a walking trail along the river with informational signs and displays that describe the really cool, informative information markers of sights and the past history of the area along the trail. A 10-minute walk on the trail will bring you to other parks (Ford's Landing, Shipyard, and Roberdeaux) and eventually to Old Town Alexandria with its many shops and restaurants --situated along the water. Another added plus is that the park offers a place for fishing, playgrounds, basketball courts, and multi-use fields. I came here with some friends for the first time and had a relaxing time just being outdoors and enjoying this great space in nature. We grabbed a picnic table....while having lunch and taking in the weather. Between the space and multi-use areas, it is the perfect spot to for walks along the river, running, exercising or simply....raking time to put things on pause and enjoy the outdoors. ELITE TIP: It is a good place to park if you are planning to visit Old Town Alexandria and want an easy place to park.....without having to deal with the limited street parking, risk of parking meter tickets or the high price garage parking. and enjoy a walk along the river.
