This vet clinic has been amazing. I started going to them in December of last year with the one dog…read moreand then I adopted another dog and I've been going to them since then they're always super nice. They take you in very quickly even though they don't make you have an appointment. They have good records. They're very kind to the dogs and they keep up with what the dogs need and just take them in and they give whatever the dogs need. It's been amazing. A pic of my babies, Rainbow and Princess.

However there is absolutely no excuse for the attitude and snarky comments I received today. When I moved to fort Payne last year I made dekalb animal hospital my new vet for my 5 dogs and 7 cats, I have been in the office a uncountable amount times in the past year with no issues. I have a extremely large property and a wonderful LGD that is out during the day and in the house at night. A good hearted neighbor picked him up off my property thinking he was a stray and brought him to DAH I seen a fb post for him just a few hours after coming in from trying to find him. My husband was at the vet waiting for them to open to pick him up, he was met with not only a extremely rude receptionist who proceeded to tell him some odd number of people have came and claimed he is also their dog. My husband had all his vet work, his microchip information, rabies & pictures of us with the dog and his collar visible. The receptionist still refused to give him any information about where he is or how we can get him back. Only that the people that brought him in would be contacted and they would assess who he belongs too. There was no for sure he's coming home to us no I'm so sorry no compassion at all, I called probably 20 times before finally someone answered the phone to speak with me and it was the same answer. I personally came to the vet and as I walk in the girl is already rolling her eyes and every word out of her mouth was sneer and snarky. The vet called me with the same attitude but finally says yes he is your dog and we're contacting the people that have him. No contact after that I got him back through the lady finding me on fb viva post and comments She was in the process of talking to someone else that was on their way to get him when she found my comment. Had this vet had her way my perfectly healthy, up to date on vaccines, neutered, no mats and MICROCHIPED dog would have ended up god knows where. Thankyou dr jones for reminding me exactly why I no longer work in a clinic. The day it becomes more about ego and money is the day you should retire. I hope I caused enough of a scene that you find better ways to deal with lost dogs being brought in, maybe just maybe they'll have a chance of actually making it home. Not that you or your staff care obviously.
