I would like review on PA Sherri? @ Forte Family practice?

    I love her! She listens.

I am 71 years old and need a prescription renewed. I was told I needed to see the doctor. It is NOT a narcotic and the virus pandemic is in full swing. Is this normal practice during the pandemic outbreak?

It's in their new patient packet that I had to sign. I made a mental note of it. My neurologist is doing the same thing. I use telemed at this office to avoid being around other people.

While they brought me back on time, I waited 45 minutes for the doctor. When she arrived, she completely ignored my requests to discuss my severe depression, focusing only on my diabetes. I was also supposed to get a continuous glucose monitor sensor placed in my arm, but because of an office computer glitch, the doctor rushed out and never came back. I was left sitting there until a nurse rushed me out 20 minutes later just to tell me to book another appointment. They failed to give me my missing referrals for a cardiologist and a sleep study, and I was dismissively told I should be smart enough to figure out my own diabetic diet. My diabetes is not under control, and ignoring a patient's mental healthcare while failing to provide basic treatment is unacceptable.

We are not an "easy" family medically, and we have needed her support often. Never once has she made us feel like a burden. Instead, she treats us with patience, kindness, and an incredible amount of time and care. She is the first doctor I've ever had who truly listens -- really listens -- and that alone is rare. Her bedside manner is outstanding: warm, calm, and deeply compassionate. My children absolutely adore her, which speaks volumes about the safe and caring environment she creates. Dr. Lee is also incredibly attentive outside of appointments. When we've had concerns after hours, she responds quickly. When we've been sick, she has personally called or texted to check in and make sure we're improving. When you're in the room or on the phone with her, she is completely present and laser-focused on you and your family. We feel genuinely cared for, supported, and respected under her care. I recommend Dr. Lee without hesitation for both adults and children. She sets the gold standard for what primary care should be.

Even when he went into actual liver failure and we realized what was going on (from getting second opinions), she would not listen or even consider liver disease and kept saying he could not have liver disease! She showed very little understanding of liver disease and told him many things that were untrue (like she said he couldn't have it because X or Y, but that was not true). She also had a very bad suggestion, to cut back on coffee, when coffee is actually liver-protective. We had to get him a different PCP who finally got him diagnosed with proper tests, which did show liver disease, and referred him for adequate care. This other doctor was very alarmed by the lack of care from Ga Geong/Sunny Health and how Sunny Health left him untreated for so long, with high ammonia harming his body and at risk for liver disease complications. She didn't understand how a doctor would not do something about labs like his had been. I feel my husband's life was put at risk by having Ga Geong as his doctor. After all of this, I looked to check on her medical education, and she went to an unaccredited medical school (American University of Integrative Science in Barbados). (Wikipedia says the school is still seeking accreditation.) She also had some pretty toxic behavior that has honestly felt very scary and disturbing to me. My husband was planning to just cancel his membership at the end of the month after having to find a different doctor, but she contacted him and threatened him because of my review and he asked to leave sooner. During this entire situation, she I believe she stepped outside of many professional boundaries for how you should relate to patients and their loved ones and behaved very inappropriately. Sharing this in case it helps save someone else's life or health.

Firstly, I wanna start by saying the staff has not been rude by any means, but just extremely unprofessional and unorganized. I started going to this doctor, specifically Dr. Noorda, because of the incredible reviews he had about him as far as his practice and medicine... I wanna make it very clear that I am only continuing to come to this office because of the incredible care that I've received from Dr. Noorda and only because of that. Otherwise, it has been extremely frustrating and an impeccable waste of my time... I Initially went in 11/26 to get blood drawn and provide samples that I was asked for for testing... When I arrived, there was a ton of confusion on what test were actually supposed to be performed on me so that was frustrating, and then after they finally figured everything out, and I was able to provide them with the correct paperwork, they took the samples they thought I needed it, and I proceeded to leave the office as normal... Literally less than three minutes later they called me back to back letting me know if I'm able to rush back in. They forgot to give me some test that we're on the list for me that day, which was already a red flag, but I decided that everyone makes mistakes and I went back in with no problem., Mind you I live over 25 minutes away, so this is not convenient travel wise for me by any means, but I will travel anywhere for good care. Fast-forward to today, December 4, I go in for my appointment to drop off the test that I was sent home with 11/26 to test me further, and when I went in to drop off the samples, everything appeared to be fine. I gave them to the phlebotomist, And I left... As per usual. Unbeknownst to me, I'm driving 25 minutes away to go back home and get back to work, I'm on a work call as I drive home and I noticed that Mountain View called me twice back to back... I'm on an important call so I cannot switch over, and the first thing I thought is there is absolutely no way they are calling me because they forgot something again, I am already traumatized that happened to me the first time. Once I was finished with my work call, I gave them a call back lo and behold just to find out that yet again they incorrectly read my charts. They told me that the way that the tests were requested. We're all on one line and was confusing the phlebotomist told me she had to ask aOnce I was finished with my work call, I gave them a call back low and behold just to find out that yet again they incorrectly read my charts. They told me that the way that the tests were requested. We're all on one line and was confusing the phlebotomist told me she had to ask a nurse how to also read the paperwork just for them to call back and tell me they need an additional 5+ tests and that I ultimately wasted my time coming down and giving them the test that I drove 25 minutes to give them, because That wasn't actually all of the test that I was supposed to provide to them initially, which was completely unbeknownst to me because they literally never told me . So now I have to go back for my appointment December 18, but we were originally supposed to discuss all of the results that I had already sent in, now that Appointment is essentially obsolete because the testing still isn't done, mind you I have driven back-and-forth to the office more than five times now trying to achieve the same results and something that should be extremely simple... all she could literally tell me verbatim was "well you don't have to drive back up here if you don't want to I was just making you aware"... Girl of course I have to drive back up there. This is my health we're talking about, no matter how frustrating it is I'm going to do whatever it takes to finally get these test submitted, but wow the hoops I've had to go through is crazy! I'm typically not want to complain, but the situation has left me feeling helpless and in disbelief!

The staff that was there when I first became a patient of Dr. Ellyin's was very nice, competent and compassionate. But over the years he has hired some very rude and unprofessional people. At one point there was lady named Crystal that worked there. When I went in for my appointment she was sitting at the front window with a black eye. She was rude and nasty to me. I am not one for people loosing their job but I told Dr. Ellyin that he needed to get rid of her. She was a bad look for his practice. So, fast forward to my appointment today, I literally was waiting for 2 hours to see the Dr. First, the lady at the front window (not Crystal) had me email my new insurance info to her. 15 minutes later, she informs me that she had not received the email yet and asked me to resend. I resent (I missed a letter in the email address) the info. Before I could sit back down, she had received the second email. Why wait 15 minutes before saying anything? GOOD QUESTION. While I was sitting in the lobby, the nurse came out and went to the bathroom. She was wearing gloves when she went in. When she came out, she still had the gloves on?!?! I politely asked her if she would change her gloves because she had just used the bathroom. She said "oh, I used hand sanitizer before I came out of the bathroom." I told her she needs to change her gloves immediately. Once the insurance issue was resolved I'm waiting to be called (there is one lady behind me and a couple behind her). Instead of calling ME next, they skip over me and the lady behind me and call the couple back. Once it was my turn (1 hour and a half later), they called me and the lady behind me in together. Once my vitals were taken (and the nurse trying to explain to me AGAIN why she didn't take off her gloves while using the bathroom) I was put into an office where I sat for an additional 30 minutes. I got up and walked out. . . after demanding a refund on my co-payment. Needless to say, once I got back to work, I looked for another primary physician. Sad to go but I have given this Dr. too much of my time already. Sayonara!

The entire visit with the doctor lasted less than five minutes. I was then sent for blood work. Even though I had fasted beforehand just in case, I was told the specific test had to be completed before a certain time, so I had to schedule another appointment. When I returned for my second appointment after making another 30-minute drive, I was informed that the phlebotomist wasn't there, so I couldn't even have my blood drawn. After two disappointing visits, I decided not to return to this office. To make matters worse, I later received a bill for an additional $73. I spent over six months trying to get someone to explain why I owed more money after already paying my copay. I called weekly, left countless messages, and never received a return call. Because no one would respond, the balance was eventually sent to collections. I paid the balance just to deal with the collections issue, then disputed the charge with my bank because even they agreed the situation seemed unusual. Despite that, I am still being billed for the same charge. Once again, I spent months trying to get answers with no response. When I finally reached someone, I was essentially told that if I didn't pay, it would simply be sent to collections again. No one could actually explain why I owed the money. I no longer have the insurance I had at the time of my visit, and I was also told the doctor I originally saw doesn't even work there anymore. The lack of communication and patient care at this office is unacceptable. Ignoring patients for months while continuing to bill them and threaten collections is not how a medical practice should operate. If they put even half as much effort into helping their patients as they do collecting money, this situation could have been resolved long ago. I will never return and would not recommend this office to anyone looking for a practice that values communication, professionalism, or patient care.

When I called, I was met with an automated message, standard these days, but there were no options for new patients or to reach medical staff. I stayed on the line without pressing any keys, and a human did eventually answer. They were polite, soft-spoken, and informed me that the clinic operates on a membership model. Digging into the site later, I found that membership runs around $3,200 per year. What's not clearly explained is how this integrates with existing insurance. There's no detail on whether labs, prescriptions, or procedures are billed separately or offset at all. Nothing against the clinic itself, but after watching another practice in town fall apart post-buyout, I'm not eager to throw more money into the healthcare black hole, especially on top of already sky-high insurance premiums. Las Vegas isn't exactly budget-friendly, and this setup seems designed more for the west side crowd with disposable income than for the average patient just trying to get solid care without financial acrobatics.
