I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at this urgent care was incredibly disappointing. We brought our 9-month-old son in because he had been sick for four days. His pediatrician was closed for the weekend, and his symptoms were getting worse. He had a bad cough, had lost his voice, sounded raspy when breathing, was pulling at his ears, had a runny nose, congestion, and was much fussier than normal. We wanted to make sure his oxygen levels were okay and rule out an ear infection. When we arrived, there wasn't a single patient waiting and there were no cars in the parking lot. The front desk staff were very kind and helpful, and they were honestly the best part of our visit. However, as soon as we walked in, we could clearly hear staff in the back loudly watching and yelling during the World Cup final. It felt very unprofessional, especially considering there were patients being seen. Everything after that felt rushed. After taking his vitals, we were placed into an exam room that hadn't even been cleaned. I noticed the exam table paper was all wrinkled and looked like someone had just been sitting on it. Instead of cleaning the room, they simply moved us into another one. During our visit, multiple staff members also walked into the room without knocking. When the provider finally came in, I felt completely dismissed. Despite explaining all of our son's symptoms, we were basically told he was just teething. We agreed to have him tested for COVID, RSV, and the flu because his dad has asthma and we wanted to be cautious and make sure his lungs were okay. We were told the results would take about 20 minutes, but we ended up waiting much longer. The timing also happened to line up with the end of the World Cup match, which only reinforced the impression that the game was taking priority over patient care. As a parent, it's scary when your baby is sick, especially when they're only 9 months old. We weren't looking for unnecessary treatment--we just wanted a thorough evaluation and reassurance that nothing more serious was going on. Instead, we left feeling like our concerns were brushed aside and that providing quality patient care wasn't the priority. The front desk staff deserve credit for being friendly and welcoming, but unfortunately the rest of the experience was enough that I would not return or recommend this urgent care. read more

Amazing! I had a significant cut with probable broken "baby" toe after a fall. The folks at UMC quick care in summerlin saw me immediately and were very friendly, efficient and comforting. Major "thank you" to Dr Huan Vu and his attendants Nicole,Stephanie and Dolly who quickly annalized the issue, cleaned and treated the wound, bound the toes, gave me a long overdue tetanus shot etc etc etc. All good. 5 stars! read more

I was seen by Dr. Zheng Liu. I left this visit feeling dismissed and unheard. I came in because I had multiple painful bumps on both of my legs that were getting worse, and I was genuinely trying to understand what was happening. When he came in the room, he looked at my legs, didn't take the time to examine them and just said they were bug bites since I went camping (I went camping 2 weeks ago). Every time I asked questions about the diagnosis, I was interrupted with comments like, "This is the second time I'm telling you," "This is the third time I'm telling you," and "This is the fourth time I'm telling you. I don't see a point in arguing." I was simply trying to understand my condition and ask questions about my care. What was especially frustrating was that when Dr. Zheng Liu repeated my history back to me, he got it wrong. He said I had gone camping a week earlier, but I had actually gone two weeks before, after I corrected him, he acknowledged that the timeline didn't really fit, so he asked if I had pets, I said yes, and he proceeded to say that it could still just be bug bites possibly flea bites. At that point it just felt like he was guessing. Despite that, I still didn't feel like my symptoms were thoroughly examined. Because I was still concerned, I sought a second opinion. The next provider took the time to examine me, felt the bumps, asked more questions, and ultimately diagnosed a skin infection and started me on antibiotics. Regardless of the final diagnosis, the biggest difference was that I felt listened to and thoroughly evaluated. I'm a medical student, and this experience was disappointing. I wasn't expecting a perfect diagnosis, I simply wanted my concerns to be taken seriously, my history to be heard accurately, and my questions answered with respect. read more

Tomasina was incredibly helpful and kind enough to give us information about applying for Medicare. Told me it wasn't a big deal and prescribed me muscle relaxant and exercise. I do exercise and am not overweight. I am 20 years old I don't need a muscle relaxer. He was also just overall unfriendly. I went to my appointment with my primary Doctor at Peccole Ranch Quick Care. 9320 W. Sahara Ave. Las Vegas, NV 89117. And Rowena B was the nurse who did the basic medical measurements for me. For my blood pressure, she realized that they were too low. So to be more accurate, she did the second check on my other arm. still the same. So She began check the pressure manually. But still the same, so when she came back, she gave me a bottle of water in hope that the pressure can be improved. about 15 minutes later, it did. her such a serious attitude of putting patients' well being first did touch me deeply and from her I learned the important of drink enough water and salt. follow up review irs been over 3 weeks since I went and was told no you don't need antibiotics even though you're having sharp throat pains for a while over seven days. It's been over 3 weeks with the same pain went to there competition and I was told I waited too long to get antibiotics. I was told to call back this location to get some help and when I did, no one would help. Nor order cough meds or anything g else the next day. This location is going to cost people their lives with the nonchalant Care for patients . You pay for care and get told I'll give you what I give you even though you probably know your body better . My husband and I went here off and on just out of necessity when we first moved here. We usually saw Dr.Mauban and at first he seemed pretty cool, but then we started noticing some red flags. I had been really sick for a long time and I had just gotten out of the hospital, and went to talk to him and go over everything. He must've been having a bad day because he actually yelled at me and told me I was talking too fast and to slow down. I know he was close to retirement, but there were definitely signs of mental illness. I mentioned it to the front desk and they kind of just shook their head in surprise. We had the best experience at Umc Summerlin Quick Care. Dr. Badi Eghterafi and his nurse Deyang were very attentive and helpful. They listened and were very patient and helpful. Dr. Eghterafi was very detailed in the care we needed. He answered all our questions and was so nice and patient with all our questions. He is very educated and a is a great Dr. Our nurse Deyang was great also. So nice and attentive. We have been in and out of hospitals and Quick Cares...this was a nice change...Dr was not bothered or rushed. Forgot to request a doctors note at the time of visit called to request one and Tomicina could not understand how to spell the last name. She became frustrated and started making all kinds of sounds over the phone. Once she finally listened to the spelling she was able to locate the patient. After requesting what was needed she was rude saying the patient has a my chart when one was never set up. I was in your Summerlin location with my 6 yrs old daughter, informed the doctor that she had been sick since Sunday, 6 days with fevers and complaining of headache and green discharge from her nose. Dr Conrado said to me that he did not like prescribing medications to kids, even over the counter medicine, that what she had was just viral and would go away on its own. To do home remedies, steaming, and nose spray. I told him that it was not the first time that my daughter was seen at UMC Quick cares and that she had been treated many times with sinus infections and strep, and that she needed medication not just a nose spray. He proceeded to say do you want the nose spray or not and left the room. I understand that all they see is sick people all day long but not everyone is the same if he had taken his time he could have seen that my daughter had been seen there many times but he was in such a hurry to get back to his lap top to continue watching what he was watching then patient care. The office is clean and service fast but, whatever you do, avoid seeing the Iranian doctor here whose name is Escobar or Eatenbar or Candybar. The guy diagnosed me with allergies, prescribed some irrelevant OTC and sent me home. The next day, feeling worse, I went up the street to a different urgent care and the doctor there right away diagnosed me with a throat infection, gave me the right medicine and I immediately started feeling better that same day. I filed a complaint with UMC and their response was "BLAH BLAH BLAH thank you for your feedback that we're not going to do anything about BLAH BLAH" and the quack is still working there. I brought my 7 y/o daughter in on Wednesday. She is used to seeing doctors, running test, etc. due to having other medical problems so she 9 out of 10 times feels safe and confident when seeing medical professionals. Also, she is a tough cookie! After seeing K. Kodandapani, APRN she has a fear of doctors now. When we arrived the front desk check in gal was very friendly and professional. I appreciate how she interacted with my daughter and I also observed how she communicated with all patients which is 5 stars! Next it was time for vitals and although I don't remember the nurses name she was just as kind and gentle with my daughter while taking her vitals, another 5 stars! She walked us back out to the waiting area until the APRN was ready for us. When it was our turn for a room to see the APRN we went back and didn't have to wait too long. He entered the room already wearing his gloves, asked a handful of questions about why she was here, checked her ears, nose and throat with the otoscope then said he'll run test for flu and covid. Here is when things weren't so pleasant any more. He opens the swap and without warning her grabs her face and jabs it up her nose. She immediately started crying then within a minute her nose is bleeding. This is not her normal reaction to test but because he hurt her while swabbing her nose and made it bleed she has lost trust in him. I calm her down and 15 minutes later he walks in and says the results are negative, he want's to swab her throat and get a urine sample. She started crying again and told him he hurt her, he ignored anything she said. I could tell his was frustrated, here is this kid now crying and refusing a test, why? Because she now doesn't trust you. I tried my best to let her know it needs to be done so she can feel better. Within 30 seconds he calls down the hall for a nurse to assist. So, the nurse and myself have to hold my child down for a throat swap. As we're holding her he is prying her mouth open with tongue depressor and squeezing her cheeks so he can swap her throat. By this time she is pissed, hurt, and even more has no trust in him. The nurse, Nicole used kind words to her and tried to encourage her to briefly while she was there but K. Kodandapani, APRN please learn some bed side manner, especially when dealing with pediatric patients. My daughter who sees 5 specialist regularly, bloodwork bi-weekly, was traumatized after this appointment. The overall experience with all personal except the APRN was great, seriously 5 stars. The APRN, 1 star, maybe. Thank you for your time but seriously dude, take a class on bedside manners while dealing with pediatric patients. read more

Follow up: The insurance contacted us and worked with UMC to correct this issue. We were told it came down to a miscoding for the billing. UMC was also quick to send a refund check for the amount in dispute, so I was pleased they kept their word about that. It wasn't about paying the $85. It was about how this would be unacceptable in any business under similar circumstances. I am leaving one star off for dealing this billing issue, and another star for the nurse's type of questioning to my clearly normal daughter. I feel that this subject should be a conversation with the parent(s) only, as it did hurt my daughter's feelings because she assumed the nurse thought she looked like a boy. It did prompt a conversation with the children about people who have gender dysphoria issues. I did not reach out to Scott because we were working with the insurance to get this resolved. Brought my 8 year old with symptoms of a low grade fever, sore throat, fatigue, and painful tingling hand pain. The over all visit time was wonderful but the ACTUAL interaction with the provider was HORRIBLE! We saw Monique Turner, APRN. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. When I was explaining to her the symptoms of my son she just ignored everything that I had to say and basically said "Well there is Strep going around right now" in a very rude manner. When she examine my sons throat she never explained to my son what she would be doing and literary jammed the swab down his throat, no warning, no explanation at all. Once they had the results she never came back into the room, instead she had the nurse come in and say "You're son is getting Amoxicillin" and when I asked if he had strep their response was "she wouldn't be prescribing the antibiotic if he didn't". Monique Turner, APRN...is professionals like you that give healthcare workers a bad name and reputation. You need to do better and be better...learn how to be compassionate and work on your bedside manner. You see patients when they are not feeling well or at their worst...THEY DESERVE BETTER FROM YOU!!! Absolutely terrible service! I understand there is a pandemic but when you advertise that you don't treat COVID patients and your non-COVID patients don't get the amount of time and respect as those who have COVID-19 in your waiting room or your actual patient room, that's absolutely insane! I waited in the waiting room for a good hour (at least) to be asked a few questions, then sent to my car to wait for a nurse to contact me to let me into a patient room for a doctor. The doctor came in, I told them about my issue (a very odd rash on various parts of my body). Upon showing him the rash he rolled his eyes and had to request a female nurse to be present. THEN within the mere two minutes he was there he hardly looked at my rash and asked the nurse what I should be diagnosed with. Excuse me?!? She told him it looked like ring worm, which it definitely did not look like, and he immediately just wrote a prescription and sent me out. Never informed me what the prescription was or how to use it. TERRIBLE DOCTOR AND PRACTICE! I have already submitted my experience to the UMC Post Appointment survey months ago when this happened and no one has gotten back to me. read more
