Not only did he cut that key, but he cut a few extra that he had. He had this nice hide a key in a Velcro pouch that he attached to my vehicle so I will never be locked out of my car. If there is anything in particular you want, I recommend that you call and discuss with him. He commented on the poor quality of some of the locks in my house, as well as the good quality products that were already installed. He can recommend what will work for you. He keyed the locks for me so that I do not have to have 20 different keys. I called the morning of our appointment, and he actually was on another job and came in the afternoon instead of morning as originally planned. I recommend that you check in a few days ahead of time to confirm your appointment. The price came in higher than I anticipated. He quoted me a price to come out plus charge for rekeying each cylinder. In addition, there was an hourly charge. I also had some new doorknobs installed which increased the cost. I am very happy that the job was completed and done well.

Of course I had followed the instructions in the package so the lock was fully installed before the step to try the key appeared in the instructions. Ugh. I was not about to undo and return the lock so I called Assured Lock and Key. After telling Randy my plight he said he could be at my house in a couple of hours. Same day service!!! Randy, rekeyed the lock, made me two new keys and even adjusted the strike plate to make the lock work properly. The cost for all of this was really reasonable. Randy knows locks and will be our first call when we need lock service again. Thank you!!

Buyer beware!…read more International Door installed my original garage door two years ago. It is 12 feet wide. Garaga, the door manufacturer, requires cross bracing for doors 12 feet 2 inches wide or wider, but not for the 12 foot wide door I had installed. International Door never so much as mentioned that I should consider a cross brace for my door to prevent exactly what happened. The wind blew the door in. That $3,000.00 door lasted just two years. International Door wanted $2200.00 to repair the door they installed two years ago. $1300 of their quote was labor. Brisk Doors did an outstanding professional job for just $1300. International Door would have charged me $650 for each hours worth of labor had I accepted their quote. When I asked for a quote to repair the door that they charged me $3,000.00 to buy and install, International Door chose to exploit an existing customer to make an unreasonable profit rather than stand by the door they recommended and installed. The entire repair took less than 3 hours with about $500 in parts. I highly recommend Brisk Doors in Gorham over International Door in Lewiston! Dave Close is the owner. He charged me $900 less than the insulting quote given by International Door in Lewiston.
