This school is a complete JOKE. It's not fair for us students that try so hard to stay well above the passing percentage of passing to then score not to great on a hesi to then fail the class and to then get kicked out! Nonetheless having instructors telling us students that the school is losing credentials and at the risk of closing down! How are we as students expected to excel with things like that!? Passing with an 85% doesn't mean anything if you don't cheat on the hesi.. pretty much. Save your time, energy and money and go elsewhere. Not here. read more

I've been going to Fortis College now for over a year and my experience so far has been an amazing journey, stressful but that's what to be expected when studying nursing. My professors have been nothing but wonderful to me and they really care that you put in the effort to pass. yes there is a lot of information to grasp in a short amount of time but I'm happy to know that the professors support you. I'm currently attending Fortis College for the Nursing program. Yes is difficult like any other nursing program but the teacher and staff are very approvable. Regardless of timing and even before COVID-19 Fortis College of Cutler Bay sounded like the perfect school! Perfect for planning a future in medical care with a caring coordinator who would do anything to help you get your financial aid set up, which they always seemed to carry out successfully. However, after you're signed up and your financial aid is obtained you are on your own! Fortis College of Cutler Bay currently has its third dean with in two years who only cares about numbers...meaning, passing for NCLEX and gaining praise. Any students who struggle with ANY CLASS ARE NOT supported! Anyone who isn't robotic/ following the dean's idealistic achievements will be failed out of the program, no sympathy nor justice..teachers drop like flies and the disorganization of schedules is never taken as accountability on their behalf. As students we all regret signing our future and souls to this malicious institution. Run while u can. read more

I had a great time attending this school. You need to put in the work but it will pay off. The teachers would email or call me if I missed homework assignments and stayed on top of me. I'm working in an ER and I revert back to my education constantly. I think of all my teachers fondly and I miss them very much. read more

I attended full time night class. Was great taking classes at night and still be enrolled full-time. They have day and night to fit your schedule. I did the LPN to RN, I had no trouble throughout the program. read more

This school is a great school to go to. The teachers are patient and if your willing to learn there willing to teach. The president is wonderful and will always help if you have an issue. I currently attend this institution and am due to graduate soon and some of my journey has been a struggle but they help to keep you focused and not take the easy road out. With this school the evening and day classes are great and if one semester you need day shift while another you may need night you just have to let them know. Im so happy especially with an 100% pass rate on the NCLEX last semester I feel im right at home read more

I am a Registered Pharmacy Technician and a Fortis College graduate. I'd recommend the Pharmacy Technician Program at Fortis College hands down. I visited other colleges in Miami before I decided to pursue my career at Fortis, however, as soon as I stepped in at Fortis I knew that this was the right place for me. The administration at Fortis is really professional and passionate and do everything possible to make sure that the admission, registration and financial funding processes are smooth. The curriculum is relevant and provides you with wonderful externship opportunities and industry connections. The faculty is incredibly knowledgeable and really cares about the student's success at all stages of the program including the certification and job placement process. I strongly recommend Fortis if you want to pursue a technical career in a Medical field. If you are dedicated and serious about your future, this school pays off. read more

My journey in nursing school was a challenge, but with a supporting school president and a very professional dean, very helpful professors and supporting staff I passed my NCLEX on the first take. I was a student in this school from 2013-2015 and acquired my associates in 2015. After I graduated, the school provided me with resources to succeed and helped me with my review. The academic adviser even did a "one on one" assessment and reviewed with me a few days prior to the exam date. The resources that the school provided after graduation is amazing. Support and encouragement from staff and faculty was exceptional. I felt like i was not alone in taking my exam. It may be a small school, but everybody knows everybody. The school president even knows you by name, who has that! Overall, I recommend this school to anyone who is interested in pursuing their dreams in the nursing field. read more

For the record, I attended Fortis College in Cutler Bay, across from KFC. :) It's not a short enrollment process, and the classes aren't exactly easy, but the classes ARE flexible, and the teachers and staff are really helpful. When my mother got into an accident and was recovering from surgery, it kind of put off the enrollment schedule by a few weeks. But the admissions staff were understanding and helped me through it. After enrolling, they would ask after my mom, and it meant a lot to her that they were asking after her. At graduation, she finally got to meet my admissions rep and all of my classmates at once, and I can't even tell you how much it meant to me that all the people who were there to support me were there to see me accomplish such an amazing step in my life. I recommend this school for anyone in South Miami who has a busy schedule but still wants to take that big step towards their future career in nursing. read more

The professors were very knowledgeable, smart, helpful, and caring. Even though the classes were challenging the professors made it much easier to understand. I attend Fortis College in Cutler Bay, Florida. I've had my share of experiences but never to the point that I would talk bad about the school. They offer night classes which is a plus! Clinicals are crazy sometimes but that's what the clinical sites can give us so its beyond their control they try. The admissions department awesome, super friendly they give you a tour and everything. Financial aid, Ricardo explains everything to you before he does anything. Clinical coordinator Katrina, what can I say bad about her, she gets her job done and she gets it done right! A majority of the professors I have had they were willing to sit down and meet with me whenever I needed a one-on-one (Thank you Professor Arocha, Yoose, Dozier, and many more). The dean (Dr. Evoy), she's a busy woman, but she will make the time to sit with you so that you are able to voice your concerns. She listens to you and she tries her best to solve whatever the problem may be. The President (Mrs. Antunes), she's great! She is about her school and her students. There was a situation with this Exit Hesi Exam that a majority of the students weren't very successful and unfortunately I was one of those students. Alot of the students were upset because of this due to the fact that all of the clinicals, the class itself, and simulations had to be done all over again when it was already passed and the only reason why we had to do this all over was due to the Hesi Exit Exam BUT Mrs. Antunes, Dr. Evoy, and others that I'm not to sure helped, somehow helped us, all with this Addendum called a Remediation Course! They saved us! They have no idea how grateful I AM but the other students as well. Everyone has their bad days and tend to react to the bad and never really the good. Listen in life we will always come across obstacles in life, life wasn't made to be served to us on a golden platter. Nursing school is hard, trust me I know but it's not impossible. Fortis has been an experience that I will always cherish and if it wasn't for the school and the staff in it I wouldn't be able to accomplish my dream of becoming nurse! read more
