What stands out is from this store is, all the snacks are not the normal ones you can get from TnT, Fujiya. It's not the largest store with the most variety but it has unique products. Prices are also more competitive than the other Japanese stores. Btw, they have discounted items that are near expiring that is crazy excellent pricing and I've never had an issue with. Free street parking on the front, next to a salon, and a sports racquet store.

Instead, after the fact, they pointed to wording on the receipt that says "receipts" (plural) as if that somehow retroactively justifies refusing the return. That is not transparent policy--it's moving the goalposts. In standard retail practice, an itemized proof of purchase is sufficient to process a return. Most businesses understand that the purpose of a receipt requirement is simply to verify the transaction. When a customer provides clear documentation that does exactly that, refusing a return on a technicality is not policy--it's avoidance. I have been a professional shopper supporting small businesses in this city for eight years, and I have never encountered a store using this kind of tactic. It comes across as slimy, unprofessional, and frankly dishonest. What's especially disappointing is that I've spent thousands of dollars here over the years. Instead of honoring a straightforward $300 return with valid proof of purchase, they chose to damage a long-standing customer relationship. Because of this experience, they've lost a loyal customer. I still remember the prices some 20 years ago in Winnipeg being outrageous for the miniatures, but Ross' Miniatures are priced at incredibly reasonable costs! The quality of the furniture and dollhouses are outstanding, so you also are investing in great product. You can find everything from the teeniest sushi rolls, to bunk beds, to queen Anne dining room sets, to silverware, to workable lighting fixtures, to spare parts for house renovations (including crown moldings, shingles, etc. etc. etc. ETC.) Service/owners are very friendly and helpful - and most importantly, not pushy at all! My only caution is to be alert of the time, as the store has pretty condensed hours of operation. I was looking for level counters for a game I already owned and the staff member knew the game and although they didn't have counters, he suggested I use D10s (dice). He then showed me my options at the counter (small things were in a display case). In the front window there was a large calendar displaying all the regular and special events happening that month. They have regular gaming nights Sunday (any games), as well as hosting other games-specific nights (such as for Magic: The Gathering).
