I was then told that they couldn't "look" at her injury until tomorrow morning and that because they're not actually "seeing" patients in the clinic that the "visit" would be a teleconference. I was flabbergasted! I would have asked for the name of the lady I spoke to but she hung up on me when I said, "You can't think the appropriate treatment for an injury this severe is a phone call." Claudia stayed after bouts, called the manager of the long term disability insurance claims department and turned the denial into an approved claim.
