The Ledbury was a memorable experience, 3-4 hours of a tasting menu with wine pairing along with the best service ever. MB? not too sure how they even have one star. If this were just a regular restaurant, I would have been just as annoyed. Cork in my wine? 2 out of 7 glasses. Weird service? When the food runner went to bring plates out to the wrong table, the server made clicking sounds with her tongue as if she were calling a horse to "giddy up". The food? We found only 25% of it to be palatable. My "pallet cleanser" stuck to the bottom of my bowl and was impossible to scrape off. The "marinated shrimp" was nothing more than raw shrimp with no flavor (other than raw shrimp). The best of the bunch was the calamari "spaghetti". Lots of props, lots of silverware changes, lots of wasted time. Speaking of time, this 7 course "great tasting menu" lasted just a tad over 1 hour vs the other two at 3 + hours each. Costly mistake.

MB redeemed my faith in starred restaurants, it was an incredible meal with great service that was not condescending. They did have the showmanship, and the dehydrated napkin that just appears with a few drops of water is cool, and it added to the meal. The meal, though, was as good as it gets. There are multiple amuse bouchée and all of them were great, especially a chilled melon roll (don't ask, just enjoy it). My starter was an excellent tuna tartare, one of the best I have ever had. Perfect balance of flavors. For my main course, I had three types of wagyu and that was also fantastic. The first type was a tartare. The second was a short rib, carved table side, which was delicious. Finally, a wagyu entrecôte that was also prepared perfectly. I was slightly disappointed with my cheese board. It was great, but I would have preferred if they brought the trolley by and I could pick the cheeses. Also, one of our party was a vegetarian and although she had a good meal, very limited options. I was also impressed with the wine list, or should I say four volumes of wines, each very deep. It is a great list with options for all budgets. A great time.

A nice mixed crowd we enjoyed it so much we had dessert even though we were a little full already. Fresh mango sorbet and crème brûlée. Try it out and definitely try the local fish!

Hugo D and I were so taken by the delicious fish dishes we came back for a second dinner. Our first dinner started with a half Seafood Salad and amazing, fresh Grilled Razor Clams. The clams were so tasty and tender we ordered them at dinner #2. Our huge salt-baked fish for two came out with a flourish. The server expertly removed the salt crust and boned it for us. I did not have one bone on my plate! It was the best, freshest fish I've had in a long time. No bones to pick with this dish! Our second dinner was Grilled Turbot. This was a larger, less delicate white fish than our other dinner but was still good. It did not come boned as the fish slices were filet cut through the spine. We tried various glasses of wine, and by our second dinner just got a bottle of our favorite there, Lagar Ð Cevera Albariño 2022. Delicious with seafood! Service was excellent, formal but friendly, and the staff are definitely well-trained. The only downside to the ambiance the first night was a table of 12 with half being young children. A few were really unruly and annoyed many of the tables around us (some couples on dates, others with well-behaved kids). It didn't stop us from coming back because the food was so amazing.
