    Perfection on a date.

First of all, I have to mention that this place is right off the yumbo so you might expect it the sanctuary or the eating experience to be perhaps sullied by the banging bass and lurid cries from passing drag acts in cheaply made costumes! Have no fear your free to have your meal in peace, and by the way it is a little ok expensive side but it certainly is worth it. The staff are lovely, welcoming and polite (although I'll never get used to having my wine poured for me). The menu wasn't confusing and k had some help choosing a wine from the staff a Sauvignon blank coming at the 23 euro mark. A nice compliment to dishes I chose before hand. They do cater for you rich kids too, with every wannabe rappers favourite don perignon. Not for me though. So the food! The starter. I had the mussels, sea men's style (ooh err!) the broth was lovely and the portion size will be a good main in the UK Chris had the prawn salad which was fresh if looking a little dated but tasted fantastic with plenty prawns and leafy fresh salad and a wedge of lemon. I had turbot in saffron based sauce served simply, cross cut and cook to absolute perfection with some lovely Al dente vegetable and a nice firm tomato without skin. The wine really did make it a sensory triumph. Super delicate flavours to savour and enjoy with a few nice potatoes too which made nice moppers. Chris had the spiney crab (probably) sorry i can't really remember the exact name. But the flesh was lovely. Though a little fiddly as you need to crack of open with pliers. When they set out the cutlery I though it was a little more than a bit reminiscent torture chamber albeit a finely adorned chamber with well dressed, well mannered antedees. Then there was pudding. Omg, chocolate volcano for me and fresh strawberries and cream (actually whipped and piped by hand). The strawberries were so good and I nicked more than one as was the chocolate pudding. Rich tangy with a Seville marmalade with peel bits. Though personally I would have had fresh raspberries to cut the richness of the chocolate. All in it was around 130 euro. Yes it more expensive bit if you consider that that is only about 100 quid for 2 with wine and 3 courses.

After a long flight to Canary Island, we decided to come here for some seafood. Overall, the service was excellent, friendly staff and delicious food! We had grilled octopus, fresh sole, paella and ending it with Catalan cream. I'm very happy with this spot.
