The store itself isn't glamorous, nor does it stand out in any way, but the staff member who took our order was pleasant and friendly and the time to wait was short, but here's where the treasury comes in. On top of the counter was a 'special offers' menu offering 3 courses; a soup, a side and a main which included rice, all for £5.50 and the choices were surprisingly varied not to mention a delicious Chinese!! The selection of main meals is the same as any Chinese take-away, with nothing left out. The prices range from £4.40 to £5, for the King Prawn dishes. Also, you don't even have to buy rice separately as every dish comes with either boiled rice or chips, which can be upgraded to egg fried rice for just 40p, to Chow Mein for 60p or to Udon noodles for £1. Starters are also ridiculously cheap, with the standard prawn toast and spring roles at £2 and the more extravagant going right up to a hardy extortionate £2.50. I always get the Siu Mai pork and prawn dumplings, which are honestly as good Dim Sum as I've had in many a posh Dim Sum restaurant. For a main I recommend the Chilli & Garlic Sauce with your meat or choice, but I must warn its much much spicier than any Chinese I've had before so for those less inclined towards a pleasantly simmering mouth and a slight reddening of the ears, I would suggest the Ginger & Spring Onion Sauce, which is very similar but considerably less spicy. Also, one portion of prawn crackers is two huge bags full, enough to alleviate famine in a small desert ecosystem. I do live fairly close but they deliver in an incredibly fast time, and unlike all other take-aways I use, don't panic and descend into paranoid mania when they realize they have to deliver to a block of flats.

You can order from any of the set menu meals on the large board at the back or essentially mix and match anything you want - they even cook some meals to order rather than serving it from the counter. The staff are friendly and I was served and got my food in just a matter of minutes! They do get busy, which is a good sign! My noodles were fresh and had only just bee put out. I took it back to my office to eat and it was well packaged and still piping hot. I'll go here a lot whilst working in the city!
