Only ordered two dishes; Wor Won Ton Soup and House Chow Mein both dishes had lots of flavor, vegs, and so much meat in the Chow Mein, and Soup with many won tons in the soup. Best Chinese food in Exeter. If you're in the area and craving chinese food, I recommend this place.

Food is good and prices are more than fair. I had the beef chow mein and it was more than enough with a tad of spice added to it. Staff was friendly but don't judge its restaurant, try the food you'll thank me later. On a side note be real careful with the sriracha, the beef chow already comes a bit spicy. I had to add a bit of soy sauce because the chow mein was kind of dry but it had good flavor. read more

I wish I could give 10 stars---this place has some of the best Chinese food that I have ever had. And the service is impeccable. It is located in a little strip mall and on the outside, it is nothing special, but walk inside and you will be greeted with a happy welcome by one of the two servers. They make their own chili sauce and hot mustard and both of these are so good and smoky. We almost always order the potstickers (you can get them pan-fried or fried) and they are so good: they have so much ground pork and spices inside and we crave them. We have had the Mongolian beef, cream cheese wontons (so good!), honey shrimp (loved it), sweet & sour pork, and a few other dishes--all are incredible! I really really want to like this place. We've tried it three or four times over the course of the last seven years. They are very friendly. However, their food lacks flavor, which I find almost incomprehensible for a Chinese food restaurant. Even the Kung Pao chicken was flavorless. Sad to say we won't try it again. Recently relocated to Exeter and had a craving for Chinese Food. Porterville's Asia Garden use to be the spot, that was before the quality of their food degraded. Searched on yelp for the nearest location and boy and behold this location was right around the corner. We ordered the beef and broccoli, kung pao chicken, fried rice and vegetable chow mein. Yes alot of food for two people but so worth it. We ordered take out and had alot of left over. The quality of food was delicious and prices were reasonable. Now I crave this place once a week. This place has great food and service, everything was hot and fresh crispy egg rolls and veggies nothing was over cooked, sweet and sour pork was crunchy breading and not mushy from sitting in the sauce for too long. My client wanted to drive to Panda Express in Visalia. We were in Exeter. I suggested Fortune Cookie. We ordered chicken teriyaki rice bowls. They were awful. The breaded teriyaki chicken was dry. The carrots cut in big chucks that were too big too eat and were still raw. I'm pretty sure the chicken was out of a precooked bag like Tyson. It wasn't homemade for sure. I will not be returning. I supported them during Covid and was always pleased but now I'm no longer going to support small businesses that don't care about the food they're putting out. Exeter is full of places to eat that don't care about the food they're serving or preparing for their community that supports them. There's only a couple of restaurants in the Exeter area that still care. read more

We visited about 1 pm on a weekday, and each had a lunch special: kung pao chicken and fried fish. lunches come with soup, rice or fried rice, and chow mein with soft or crispy noodles. The soup was quite good, rice and fried rice were both typical--decent, not exceptional. We tried both the regular and crunchy noodle chow mein, and found the crunchy noodle version was much preferred: it had less noodles, but plenty of cabbage and bean sprouts that were quite good. We both liked the fried fish very much, and both thought the kung pao chicken was decent but over sauced. All of the ingredients seemed fresh and well prepared, and service was quick and friendly. And portions were more than generous--we really could have shared one lunch, maybe with an appetizer or soup. At $11 each, the lunch specials are an excellent value. read more

Kind of hidden but a great Chinese place for the Central Valley. Staff (owners?) are very friendly and attentive, sat us immediately and took our order within 5 minutes. We ordered the lunch Mongolian beef and F. Combo (sweet & sour pork, fried shrimp, pork egg roll, fried won ton, fried chicken wings, paper wrapped chicken, almond chicken, pork chow mein, &, pork fried rice). Plus ordered a side of egg rolls (thought they'd be small, nope! Decent size). The amount of food for the price is amazing. What I loved about the food was the sweet & sour was not sickeningly sweet, it had just the right amount of sweetness. Nor was anything too salty. I've found overly sweet & too salty seems to be a common problem for Chinese restaurants in this area, thankfully not this place. The Mongolian beef also wasn't too sweet or spicy. We didn't have to add soy sauce to any of the items as they were already well seasoned complimenting the vegetables & meats nicely. The veggies were fresh and not over cooked. The hot tea served is oolong, my favorite with a Chinese meal. Definitely coming back to try other menu items. read more

I have never liked them due to the oily, greasy yuk that I had been given for my short 45 years of life! These wontons are nothing close to the oil bath that the u typically get everywhere else you have ever gone to for Cantonese/Chinese Food! I will order an appetizer of Wontons from now on. NOW....the fried shrimp, chicken wings, egg drop soup, sweet & sour pork, fried rice, almond chicken, pork chow mein & paper wrapped chicken I ordered were all fresh & so good! 5 star for the above. I give just 3 stars for the egg roll & potstickers. The potstickers are solely fried now, I believe, then steamed in the container. I prefer the traditional potstickers, steamed & fried on 1 side version. (neither the egg roll or potstickers were all that impressive). Also the dipping sauce for the potstickers was just ok. I wish they made their own hot mustard as well. I dont care for packet hot mustard. Otherwise, it was very, very good & I highlyrecommend that you go eat here! read more
