If they have it in stock then great if they dont then forget it! The shop itself is large and has a lot in it, however it is all crammed into small spaces which makes things difficult to find. The staff are not exactly overly helpful neither as majority of the time they dont know what you are talking about, and when they do they dont seem to know if they stock it or not. Queues are to be expected here the staff are very slow and there is usually only one person behind the till at a time. In short if you know what your looking for and you know where abouts in the shop it might be then you should be ok but if you dont you are probably best looking elsewhere for it.

It's a bit of a funny store: it isn't 'budget' cheap stuff, but it isn't expensive either. It's in the same sort of boat as BHS in terms of quality and price. I love Mackays baby stuff (I'll never call it M&Co!). They've got a really cute selection, and although it isn't cheap they do greatly reduce their sale items, so it's well worth visiting regularly. This store is a fair size and has womenswear and childrenswear, but no men's dept. Nice, spacious and clean, and staff were always pleasant when I've been there.

Unlike other music games, you don't follow any onscreen icons but instead mime along to the music by holding the remote like a real instrument and pressing the buttons in time with the song. You know when you are looking for something and you look high and low, but you just cannot find…read moreit... that was my boot dilemma. Or as my assistant says... a Dalailemma. No? Ok, sorry. Anyway, one of my co-workers walked in one day with these stunning boots. The ones that I have envisioned in my head. She told me that I could buy them at Clarks. A couple days later, I went into town to Clarks to see if they had the boots in my size and to try them on. I have never been into the store in Grantham, but it was really busy that day. I saw the boots immediately, grabbed them, and tried to find a staff member. It took a few minutes because they were so busy, but eventually I found one. She brought out the boots and they were lovely... exactly what I was looking for. The question was, would they fit my sizeable calves? I put them on, and they were a bit tight and it did take a bit of effort to get the zipper up. I asked the lady if they had the boots in different calf sizes, but they did not. When she realized that I was worried about the fit, she said that the leather would stretch out a bit and loosen. I thought about it and decided to purchase them. As usual, there was the non-chip-and-pin card panic. In fact, the lady called someone else to help. He looked at it, inspecting it really, turning it over, giving it the stank eye like there was something suspicious about it. I finally just said... as I normally do, "It doesn't have a chip. You have to swipe it or manually enter the number. Sorry." They swiped it once, but it didn't seem to register, so they swiped it again. And just so you know... I kept the receipt just in case I had the idea of taking them back, but I broke them in and they have been worn all over the UK and Ireland and I love them and would recommend them!

They will also deliver and install items such as washing machines, usually for free or for a small fee, which is an invaluable service. The showroom is small but they have examples of most appliances and they are hi-fi specialists with lots of fancy TVs and hi-fis! The prices at Peter Rhodes don't usually come as low as the prices from places like Comet, however, they do have occasional special offers which are great value, and their after-sales service is much better than a large impersonal chain.
