These are my thoughts about Aspire Fresno…read more I recently completed their IOP program, and now I attend Aftercare. When I walked through the door for the first time, I was happily surprised with their facility. Very comfortable, but professional. There is a large open space, complete with snacks, for clients to use before class begins. My interactions were primarily with my counselor, Brittany, and Sandy & Toni. All were professional and treated me with compassion. Before becoming a client, I had concerns about my scheduling issues, and about my insurance coverage. But Toni and Brittany were able to structure the program to really work for me. Their IOP program was outstanding! Aspire has qualified, well-trained counselors. I actually looked forward to their classes. And because of Brittany, I developed coping skills I continue to use today to deal with my triggers. Unfortunately, this was not my first rodeo, but I truly expect it to be my last! Because of Aspire, I now have the tools and skills needed for me to maintain lifetime sobriety! Tom H

When I found Aspire, Kim from intake made the intake process comforting and easy. The counselors, Toni, Kayella and Brittany, are the best staff possible. They care so much about each client and spend as much time as possible getting to know their clients and meet their needs. The atmosphere is comforting, making it incredibly easy to be authentic without anxiety. While I was there, we had a Thanksgiving feast, played corn hole outside on one of the few days it was sunny, did yoga and meditation, and created artwork. The program incorporates therapy with fun and I was always excited to be attending in the mornings. This program changed my life and I will always be grateful for Aspire and the staff at Aspire. She allows for first time online scheduling, and is able to accommodate for some week to week flexibility in scheduling. She has flexibility for some after work appointments as well as during the day. (I think she even might have some Saturday's available.) Make sure you check with her and your insurance if you will be covered through insurance or through private pay. (Private Pay option might be pricey if you have to go that way, as there is no sliding scale here.) If you are able to, I definitely recommend her. I believe she will have other therapists at this location soon, and I don't know if they will be different or have the same situations with payment-definitely check it out. The new location (this listed location) has such a calm vibe. She uses soft music and aromatherapy in the lobby area, and the colors of furniture and pain are beautiful and serene.

I get it, things pop up sometimes and you need to be flexible, but things pop up CONSTANTLY for her. I don't think I ever made an appointment with her and have it not be rescheduled. And a couple of times, I would be waiting for her at her office and she wouldn't show up at all, only for me to get a text about it hours later. This last time, I stayed and waited in her office for about 45 Minutes for her to not show up and not text me about it until much later that evening. The ironic thing was, at the time, I was giving her another chance because she did a no show at the prior appointment. That time, I just walked out. She hasn't reached out to me at all since. It was a very sensitive time for me and I desperately needed someone for guidance, and she practically abandoned me. Please, if you're going through a hard time right now and need help, do not go to this woman. Sure, she's nice, but she's not dependable at all. You deserve to have a therapist that will treat you with dignity and not flake on you constantly.

He is knowlegeable with men's health, parenting, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, sleep disorders, panic disorders, depression, and much more. The data collecting homework is critical to the success of the program. I recommend spending extra time talking with spouse of friends to dial in the data points and the benchmarks to help track progress. Is Dr. Melissa Tihin the most unethical doctor licensed in Fresno County?…read more I had a very troubling experience with Central Valley Family Therapy in Clovis, and their owner and CEO Dr. Melissa Tihin, when trying to access my own records. After my direct request to supervisor Juliana Ball, I was told that I would need to hire a lawyer or have records released to a representative instead of directly to me. I made a written record immediately after my meeting and follow-up call, so I am confident about what I was told. When CEO Dr. Melissa Tihin later called me, the conversation escalated after I referenced my written record documenting that I had been told a lawyer was required. She denied that was ever said. I mentioned that my sessions were also audio recorded, as that is their standard practice, and that it could help clarify what was communicated. Dr. Tihin stated that she had listened to my session recordings and did not hear the supervisor say that. This surprised me because I had previously been told that only my counselor would have access to those recordings. That inconsistency raised concerns for me about privacy and internal practices. Immediately after informing Dr. Tihin about my written record, I was told that my services were being terminated. I was also told that my daughter's counseling services would be discontinued, even though I am not the parent who enrolled her or manages her care. That situation felt very concerning to me and raised questions about how decisions are made regarding patient care. This experience left me questioning the clinic's policies around records access, communication, and patient rights. I also found myself wondering how situations involving sensitive issues would be handled and whether patient advocacy would be prioritized in difficult circumstances. I also had concerns about whether cost or business considerations may influence certain policies or decisions, though I cannot speak to that directly. Overall, I left feeling confused, uncomfortable, and concerned about transparency, communication, and how patient records and session information are managed. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering this provider ask very clear questions upfront about records access, privacy, and internal policies.
