I've been servicing my two cars at Foster for a few years now. Coming from abroad this is the only service I've found so far that I feel I can trust, at least around the area where I work and live (south Dublin and Wicklow). The customer service is great, and the mechanic guys at the workshop seem very professional, though I have to say that since about two years ago the quality of the service is going down. I'm convinced that the guys who knew how to replace properly a wiper are gone, since the last time they were replaced in both cars it was not a good job. Otherwise the cars are doing pretty well after each service. Well, the exception was when I had to replace front coil springs in one of the cars and one of them kept making noises for weeks after replacement. In the last service, a few days ago, I was gladly surprised when the car couldn't almost start right after the service, as the battery was very low. As soon I mentioned that to the receptionist they replaced the battery on the spot without a word and without charge. Man, that deserve kudos, and certainly will make me come back again when I was already looking for another garage for the next services.
The other reality at Foster is that, yeah, is pricey. Personally I still buy trust and good service over price if not abusive. It could be argued if prices at Foster are abusive or not, but until I find a cheap garage that I can really trust in Ireland, and so far my experience with other garages are greatly disappointing, I believe that I will still be coming to Foster until the quality of the service degrades. It also helps that you get up to 30% discounts for loyalty. More kudos! read more
