I stopped-into Minocqua Furniture to browse their showroom and found a few bedframes that were close to what I was looking for. Rebecca offered to help me and I pointed-out a couple of examples on their floor explaining that they were close but not exactly what I wanted whereupon Rebecca told me that they could custom make a bedframe for me so that it matched exactly what I wanted. I was delighted and spent some time going over specs and measurements. A reasonable time later, the delivery folks showed-up on my doorstep with my beautiful new bedframe, assembled it and removed the old bedframe. From start-to-finish, these folks were so great - helpful, responsive, resourceful & creative. And, on top of all that, I paid a very reasonable price for a beautiful, custom fabricated bedframe! I would absolutely do business with these terrific folks again.

In our most recent visit there, we only found one item. When we took it up to purchase, the cashier told us that they would soon start charging people for using their credit cards. This was really disappointing. We will probably stop shopping there now that I know this. Who carries around a bunch of cash around in this day and age? This new policy of penalizing people for the convenience of using a credit card seems like a sure fire way of deterring and alienating customers. Also, my husband who is good with finances likes to use credit cards to be able to budget and keep track of our purchases, so he's not enthusiastic about returning.

We then heard nothing and left multiple voicemails for a call back to see why she was not sending a quote or calling us. Never returned any calls. And when I stopped by and asked why they did not call and asked for the measurements so we could use them she refused to provide them. Terrible service and no communication. Will never use them for any blinds.

My husband and I own an old family cottage in nearby Three Lakes, and we have greatly benefited from their expertise as we have made improvements. Lately, we have focused on replacing window treatments throughout our cottage. Each room has had its unique issues that have required individual treatment. As a recent example, our lakefront cottage has large, westward-facing windows that have given us a problem with intense glare off the water in late afternoons. Lisa and Connie struck a good balance by suggesting window shades that would block the glare but would not be too opaque. They also encouraged us to select a deep brown color, which would serve as a backdrop to our "very beige" furniture. I tend to be cautious about using any bold color, so I was hesitant at first, but am now so glad we followed through with their suggestion -- we love the result! The deep brown tone actually has a neutral effect, but it also offers real "punch" and gives a warm and cozy feeling. Additionally, unlike "big box" stores, they came out to make accurate measurements and provided installation services for our new shades. As an added bonus, they have also offered expert advice when we have needed help in selecting paint colors for our other interior, and even exterior, needs.
