ADORABLE store that feels like part visit to Grandpa's and part catalogue for vintage chic. Classic and kitsch, homey yet stylish. I stopped by while searching for a unicorn, a mid-century modern dining table that folds into a console, and while I didn't find it, I saw lots of other great stuff. This place is really well organized and curated--it's not a flea market jumble of things. There are thoughtful vignettes, and the place was well-decorated for Christmas with retro santas, reindeer, and those smiley little elves with felt clothes and plastic faces that are the original, true "elf on a shelf". Some vintage clothes, furniture, jewelry, classic Pyrex bowls, art. A little of this, a lot of that make this an enjoyable place to stroll through. While I didn't find my console dining table, I got a great little enamel tray for my bathroom and a cute vintage holiday hand towel. Looking forward to a return visit!

Found is a hoarders delight, and the dream of any collector. This place has rooms filled from floor to ceiling with vintage goods and all things antique and, well, found. Price wise there is huge variation, with clothing or the smallest trinkets selling anywhere from $1 to thousands for larger and rarer finds. The staff is sparse, and are a little slow to attend multiple people since a lot of the products of interest are behind locked glass cabinets. The variation of product is unreal, and you could leave with vintage coats and garments or crystals and jewelry dating back hundreds of years. If you're looking for a real treasure hunt or to find that perfect piece to complete whatever odd collection you may have, Found is your best bet. not to mention it's a fun place to just go and explore and gander at all the ancient and beautiful carpets and artifacts. A cool spot of Ithaca that I would definitely suggest visiting!

I've practically furnished my entire apartment with its fine pieces including a mid-century modern dining table (in perfect shape) to a great iron torch lamp.

I was greeted just as warmly by Deb, the shop owner, who chatted with me as I browsed. She's got the level of attentiveness just right-- she's lovely and engaging, anticipating customer needs (like offering the fitting room, if you're looking to try on their cute selection of vintage clothing) while also giving you room to explore the gorgeously-curated boutique. There are quirky, fun details to be found in every corner. I've learned pretty much everything you see is fair game! Even antique pieces I was sure were display only, like vintage thermoses and framed art. All affordably priced. Stationery, slim beeswax tapers, canvas pouches, unique kitchen/home goods, retro posters, knicknacks, vintage accessories, and so much more. I'll be adding photos, since words can't convey the array of awesome to be found here. Even better is it's pet friendly! Bring your furry friends. I know I'm going to visit as often as I can to make up for not discovering this Ithaca gem sooner! What makes the vibe immaculate is the shop staff, especially the owner! They have been just sincerely kind, generous, and lovely people. They have a basket of free water bottles to keep visitors hydrated. This is a new local hospitality bar set! If you drop by, tell them E sent ya.

And what a delight it was! It's a really lovely and welcoming shop with plenty of plants, books, meditation or yoga supplies, bedding, prints, and more. With a focus on eco-friendly products, the prices aren't necessarily for the budget conscious, but you can rest assured that the quality is there. The staff here are happy to help, but also let you wander the store without being overly pushy or hovering. I got into a conversation with one of them regarding some of the plants they had available - and she was quite excited to show me a new plant that she had just learned about. I ended up buying a couple plants (among other items), as I had managed to find a cebu blue pothos tucked away upstairs, as well as a white princess philodendron on display downstairs... both of which had been on my plant wishlist for a while. TL;DR. It's probably a good thing that I'm not on The Commons often, because it'd be very easy for me to spend way too much money here (especially on the bedding items, as I'm a sucker for comfy blankets and all that). That said, I'm definitely adding Home Green Home to my list of favorite Ithaca shops. Highly recommend it!

We found the perfect souvenirs to commemorate a group hike we did during our trip, after discussing the merits amongst ourselves between three artists who depicted the same trail in their own approaches: linograph vs photograph vs watercolor. We also purchased some crocheted plushies and a magnet, and my better half talked me out of a piece of enhanced folded book art. To respect the no photography policy of many of the artists, I'll just note that the website's artist portfolio just represents a drop in the bucket of what you'll find. We'll definitely stop in again for more unique wares whenever we pass through the area.
