Home Green Home is a lovely little eco friendly shop in the heart of the Ithaca Commons. They have everything you could possibly need, and some things you didn't realize were an option! They also have a small coffee counter inside with great, friendly staff. The barista asked if I wanted to try a bit of orange cardamom syrup in my matcha latte and it was delicious! I'll definitely be coming back the next time I'm in Ithaca!

Great unique items for the home with functionality and sustainability in mind. Check out the clearance section for certain. They participate in Ithaca Loves Teachers Week.

Don't want to ruin the surprise, but one of the most delightful, fun and beautiful shops I've been to in a very long time. Go.

The store is mostly not for the budget-conscious shopper, but that's par for the course with any place on the Commons, pretty much.

I was greeted just as warmly by Deb, the shop owner, who chatted with me as I browsed. She's got the level of attentiveness just right-- she's lovely and engaging, anticipating customer needs (like offering the fitting room, if you're looking to try on their cute selection of vintage clothing) while also giving you room to explore the gorgeously-curated boutique. There are quirky, fun details to be found in every corner. I've learned pretty much everything you see is fair game! Even antique pieces I was sure were display only, like vintage thermoses and framed art. All affordably priced. Stationery, slim beeswax tapers, canvas pouches, unique kitchen/home goods, retro posters, knicknacks, vintage accessories, and so much more. I'll be adding photos, since words can't convey the array of awesome to be found here. Even better is it's pet friendly! Bring your furry friends. I know I'm going to visit as often as I can to make up for not discovering this Ithaca gem sooner! What makes the vibe immaculate is the shop staff, especially the owner! They have been just sincerely kind, generous, and lovely people. They have a basket of free water bottles to keep visitors hydrated. This is a new local hospitality bar set! If you drop by, tell them E sent ya.

It's similarly sized to other college town artist co-ops that I've encountered, but their inventory has some of the best variety of mixed media I've seen, at an appreciably high standard. Jewelry/accessories, apparel, pottery/glassware, wood carvings, prints/paintings, wreaths, and more home decor of all materials and dimensions. We found the perfect souvenirs to commemorate a group hike we did during our trip, after discussing the merits amongst ourselves between three artists who depicted the same trail in their own approaches: linograph vs photograph vs watercolor. We also purchased some crocheted plushies and a magnet, and my better half talked me out of a piece of enhanced folded book art. To respect the no photography policy of many of the artists, I'll just note that the website's artist portfolio just represents a drop in the bucket of what you'll find. We'll definitely stop in again for more unique wares whenever we pass through the area.
