When I entered I was given a friendly welcome and found a humble yet quaint set up. The selection was great considering the limited amount of space with which to display merchandise. Being an Irish girl, I am always on the lookout for Irish/Celtic pieces and was pleasantly surprised at the selection they carry. While there I was discussing with John a sentimental item I had and wanted turned into a wearable memento. He told me to bring it in and he would look at it and see what he could do. I brought it in on a Friday afternoon, we discussed what I wanted done and he was pretty sure he could do it. The only problem was that I was leaving town on Tuesday morning and he felt he was too busy to get it done before I left. As much as I didn't want to leave it behind, I left my trust in him and gave him my mothers number so she could pick it up upon completion and mail it to me. To my great surprise, the phone rang on Saturday morning and it was John telling me that my piece was finished. He said my sentimental story behind the item pulled at his heart strings and he wanted to make sure I had it back before leaving town. When I saw my completed piece, my heart swelled with the love this item held for me. John had done an amazing job. My piece was not only wearable, but fashionable. He then took the time to make one final change I requested while I waited. The price was very reasonable, and even though he did a rush job, he didn't charge me extra. I couldn't have been happier with the service I received here. With the kind of service John has to offer, I hope he finds success in this sleepy little town and stays for a long time to come. But happily, I left our locally owned Mansour today with a beautiful purchase within my budget after being treated with respect, warmth, and dignity. The young woman at the counter was so kind (and wore an enviable bedazzled mask), and took her time helping me find a piece that was special while still within my price range. She made me feel genuinely welcomed and relaxed. The gentleman who popped by a few times was distinctly knowledgeable about diamonds and their faux counterparts, and was able to help me decipher prices and quality. We brought several pieces of jewelry to The Jewelbox in May 2026 for metal reclamation. We had…read morephotographed all items beforehand. When we picked up the returned loose stones, we immediately noticed one did not match the original -- the size and appearance were clearly different from our photos. We returned to the shop within minutes. We were later informed by text that the original stone had been broken during removal. This had not been disclosed at the time of pickup. Instead, a replacement stone had been placed in our return bag without explanation. Because the replacement did not match, we had it independently examined at Kay Jewelers, where it was identified as glass with no gem value. We have since requested written documentation of what happened to the original stone, as well as return of the broken stone or a proper replacement. At the time of this review, the matter remains unresolved. We are sharing this experience so others are aware of our situation before entrusting valuable or sentimental jewelry for similar work.
