Met with Kevin concerning a free inspection of our Foundation. after the inspection he showed pictures of the various issues that needed to be fixed. After considering my options, decided to replace the inoperative Sump pump. We decided on a date and two outstanding Technicians came out to clean up the foundation area and install the pump. Kalvin was in charge with Jose assisting. What great guys as they explained everything they were doing and they accomplished preparing the area and installing the pump in one day! The worst business I have EVER had the displeasure of working with. I have waited a long time to write a review to ensure I had all of the facts and would be less emotional in my statement. Originally they came out, quoted us a price for our basement and our garage. We signed the contract electronically with the representative. The first mistake they made was never sending us a copy of the contract, or emailing it to us. Next they came out and did our basement, which was an awful experience as well. They were rude, uncaring, and unprofessional. They left our back door open for the entire duration they were here (4-6ish hours) even though we repeatedly told them we had cats, they did not care (even though it was in winter/late fall and was cold as well). They did not finish the work, stating that the representative was wrong and they could not do it. Then they left a huge mess in our basement that they never cleaned up. Lastly they told us that the garage work was "impossible" and they had no clue as to why the representative would say that they could do it. Well they gave us a bill for that day, and processed it through Greensky. They billed us for ALL of the work, including the garage that they never did. Next the manager kept ignoring my husbands phone calls/texts, for 2-3 months. Finally I had enough and called the number several times until I got above him and made a report. Suddenly he could call me back and discuss things over! I was livid that they had been ignoring us, so he finally scheduled a follow up appointment to finish our basement. He also told us not to worry about the bill for now, since it didn't take effect until after ALL of the work is done. Yet Greensky continued to hound me for 1-2 months. Finally they get out to finish the work (the second crew was very polite, cleaned up after themselves, kept the door shut, they were fantastic!). Well all the work is done, should be fine right? Wrong! Greensky is charging me interest on a plan that Foundation Recovery Systems said was a 5 year interest free plan! So I contact Greensky, they have no idea why the representative would offer that since they don't even have that plan option. Naturally I look for the contract I signed.... Oh wait! They never gave it to us at all! I have hounded and they never gave us the signed copy! So I have to fight with Foundation Recovery Systems, I put in a formal complaint with Greensky about their business. Finally Foundation Recovery Systems is willing to work with me, however I need to remove my legal complaint or they won't do anything for me at all. A very underhanded blackmail, if I say so myself. Now lastly, we have contacted them roughly 1 year and about 4-5 months after all the work was done. They told us they would need to come out every year to readjust the beam, they said it was a lifetime warranty and readjustment was free.... I'm sure you see where I'm going with this, another lie. It's $240 each time, but don't worry! They'll waive the fee this one time because of their mistake. Everything they've done is a mistake and I waited a very long time to write this review out of fear of retaliation. (Since they're okay with blackmailing people to remove complaints). I can NOT recommend this garbage dump of a company to anybody, I have told everybody I know to stay clear and will continue to do so for the rest of my life. Beware of these scammers! Lord only knows what else they will do at the readjustment appointment, since this review is sure to upset them very much. However I implore them to try underhanded tactics again, I will not be fooled as easily every again. 0/10 read more

There is an old adage that goes 'A surgeons gotta cut'. Meaning that if you go see one for a problem that's what he's going to be looking to do whether you need it or not. I kind of felt the same way after having FRS out to my house to look at a fireplace I am having an issue with. Before even reviewing my concerns the salesman wanted to go over the pitch with me and the wife, as both 'decision makers' should be present. Once we got the rundown on the company for about twenty minutes he looked at the fireplace before coming back with the proposed solution. Before presenting us with it though we had to sit through a PowerPoint slideshow (seriously) on the industry methods, including what they didn't want to do. When he finally came to the price (around $4,500) he offered $200 bucks off if we were willing to sign a contract within the next 24 hours. Overall it had a very 'used car' sales pitch feel to it. It was quite a spiel. We had some concerns which he couldn't address to our satisfaction other than to reassure us that everything would work out because he could almost guarantee there wouldn't be a problem but it didn't escape my attention that there were plenty of disclaimers in the contract. I told him we wouldn't be signing right away until I had a chance to get some more bids and do some additional research on his proposed remedy. I haven't gotten the other bids yet, but the research I did into their suggestions have now raised additional concerns as what they proposed appears to be more for commercial than residential applications. On Google they have over 100 reviews and a four and a half star average rating, but on Yelp they have had no reviews which seems rather strange. The Better Business Bureau gives them an A+ rating, but there are complaints from customers regarding quality of work, pricing, etc. In getting back to the beginning of this review and the surgeon analogy: My concern is the salesman came in here looking to make a sale before even determining if the problem was structural or just cosmetic . Obviously I have a concern or I wouldn't have called them, but we were never told if there was a real need to fix the fireplace and the why of it instead of just hearing what they were going to do and how much it was going to cost to do it. I am not saying don't use FRS, but I will be doing some additional homework before busting out my checkbook, as I want my fireplace leveled and not my bank account if it can be avoided. read more

The entire experience starting from meeting Matt Kobel to getting the work done with Chris Walker and the team was flawless. I will not hesitate to recommend Matt and Chris+team for the crawlspace and structural work. The scope was to stabilize the house by installing adjustable jacks and joist hangers in strategic places. Then the entire crawlspace was encapsulated and sealed. What used to be a dirty wet, dusty space transformed into a white clean area. And the floors definitely feel warmer now. I am expecting energy savings. Matt explained everything, was patient with me and took care of the design and scope. The work was scheduled and the timeline was very reasonable (unlike other companies in the area). Chris and team came promptly on the day the work was scheduled. They were polite, walked me through the whole process, did the repairs and cleaned up after everything was done. Chris and team went above and beyond. They worked late on Day 2 and finished on time. We had them come out and inspect since we were having some cracks in the walls. The inspector stated that we needed part of the main beam replaced as it was twisting and busted. They came and replaced the 16' that the inspector stated, it didnt cut out the twist and the bust. Instead they cut into the bust and tried to connect the new main beam there. The new main beam wasnt even made correctly. And they used screws on everything and they should have used nails since screws have no sheer strength. They used 1/2 inch particle board for the sub floor which should have been 3/4 inch. The inspector stated that I would be able to put my flooring back down when they were done with repairs....That hasnt been able to happen due to the different levels of flooring since they used the wrong stuff. They stated that the floor joists in the dinningroom needed replaced and that since the inspectors missed it in his inspection, it was going to come out of his commission. Then they tried to charge me and extra $2000 for that. I haven't paid for any of it because they never stood behind their contract. When I said something about the subfloor the project manager looked at me and said "ill put more down but you will have to pay for it!" when it clearly stated in the contract " remove and replace the sub floor in the area shown in job drawing". I have a disabled person in my home. I need this fixed ASAP. I am in contact with the attorney General and we are currently working on this. Hopefully I can get this fixed soon. we contracted with Foundation Recovery Systems to raise our sidewalk and concrete porch. We were told by the salesman/tech that this would require only two or three hours and do no damage to any other parts of our home. The workers were unable to raise the porch slab to remove a tripping hazzard. They came back to try to remedy the problem. Terrible results. We were left with damaged property, several weeks without safe access to our front porch and door,hours of work cleaning up the mess they left and the prospect of having to hire someone else to hopefully repair the horrible finish job on the porch's concrete. In forty years of dealing with home repair contractors,both good and bad, this is by far the worst experience I have ever had. I would definitely advise going to someone else. read more
