You can also follow them on FB to see available studies. You'll then recurve a call asking a few follow up questions, and checking your date/time availability for the study. I have only been in their office once for a focus group, and did another online chat-type discussion another time from home. Located centrally in Center City, and easily accessible from public transportation or driving. I also believe they validate your parking ticket for free or reduced parking if you drive. The office itself is expansive, although the waiting area is a tad dirty. They do put out drinks/food for you to have while you wait, which is probably the culprit of the stained/dirty rug. Be aware, if others doing the focus group with you are running late, be prepared for it not to begin on time. Personally I wish they would start on time & just not allow any late arrivals to participate, but it seems they were desperate to meet the quota of people doing the study, so doubt they'll stop late arrivals from being able to participate. Overall a nice place to earn some extra, quick cash. Just be prepared for it to run later than they say it will be.

However, recently, they booked me for an in-person study, then they cancelled at the last minute. They told me they would reschedule, and they never rescheduled. In addition, they asked me to refer friends for a toy research online survey. The survey was supposed to pay $25, but they paid my referral only $20. Rather than correct the mistake, they delayed paying her the remaining $5 for about 6 weeks. They acknowledged they they owed $5, but they gave various excuses to delay payment. It was only $5 but the principle is important. After many emails, they finally paid the $5. It was only $5. Why delay a $5 payment? We participants do our part, we are on time for them, and the research company should also do its part.

I was hired to participate in a "Travel Study" managed by Mavrix Data. The study was scheduled to run through the last week of May, requiring 30-60 minutes of work per week. On Friday, May 8, 2026, the Project Coordinator, Minh Doan, sent me an email explicitly confirming that I had successfully completed the required tasks for that week. He stated: "I have some good news! From the client's end, they confirmed with me that you have completed all of the tasks for this week, nothing else is needed from your end." However, Mavrix Data failed to provide me with the necessary login credentials to continue the study. Between May 8 and May 12, I sent three separate emails and made a phone call requesting the login information so I could continue working, as well as an update on my status. After extracting my labor and data for the initial completed tasks, Mavrix Data ceased all communication. They completely "ghosted" me. On May 14, 2026, I sent a final notice demanding communication and compensation, which was also ignored. Mavrix Data operated under false pretenses to obtain free labor/data from me. I am owed $150.00 for the work that they acknowledged and confirmed as completed on May 8. I have preserved all email communications, timestamps, and contact information as evidence of this deceptive and fraudulent behavior.

Domain Tech Academy helped me wipe out my hard drive and destroy another one that was just no longer good and then donated them to a good cause for me. I was even able to get a tax receipt for them upon request! The only suggestion for improvement I have is for better communication. I had called and told them I would be stopping by because I wanted to see if my data was in fact deleted off the drives and it was a bit more difficult than I had thought it would be to reinstall the hard drive to show me. After realizing they could not install the hard drive to my personal laptop because it was going to be donated without being completely fixed, they got an external drive and connected it to another laptop to show me it was deleted but it was just a bit confusing and a bit of a wait. Overall, I left satisfied and trust that they handled my laptop and information with care and honesty. I would recommend this place especially because it is run by students still in college who are offering their services at quite a significant discount in order to develop their skills in their fields.
