Company brochures with backdrop of my still in need of replacement kitchen.

Founders Choice is a Shady business by my opinion. Beware!!! Condescending staff criticizing my use of Visio to provide initial measurements of my small kitchen remodel after a dishwasher leak destroyed my kitchen. They are by appointment only to visit show room, and they require a $500.00 design deposit on receipt of copies of designs. They have a 7-9 week lead time after ordering cabinets. We wrote a check for design deposit as we need our kitchen operational ASAP. We have never received a copy of design and they would only show it to us on a tv screen in the show room. They provided a quote and said someone would contact us within a day to come do final measurements. They are more than double the price of multiple other similar businesses in the region for similar products and quoted us just over $33,000 for our small galley style kitchen. After the weekend and 2 business days of not hearing from anyone to schedule to come measure and us still not receiving copies of the design we emailed to say we would not be working with them. They immediately cashed the check for the design deposit without providing copies of design which was what they told us the deposit was for in the first place in case we wanted to take the design somewhere else. SHOPPER BEWARE!!!!

TASK: Remove existing backsplash and countertop and install a new backsplash and countertop…read more PROBLEM 1: NEITHER THE DEMOLITION CREW NOR THE INSTALLATION CREW WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR PREPPING THE COUNTERTOPS. Nothing was covered. All contents of the drawers were contaminated by demolition materials. In addition, during the demolition, the underlayment of the countertops was damaged. As stated in the contract, this was not to be addressed by Granite and Marble Specialists (GMS). Once the island countertop was removed, you could see that a heavy layer of glue remained on the underlay. The installers said that that was not their responsibility. They installed the countertop over the uneven underlayment of the residual glue. This meant that there were up to 1/2 inch gaps between the counter and the underlayment, stretching a span of 108.5 inches. Over time, this will lead to instability and breakage of the stone. The installers forged ahead and installed the new countertop independent of the gaps. The installers were adamant that they had installed the island countertop to level. RESULT: We had to remove the new countertop and have the surface sanded to level before having them reinstall the countertop. PROBLEM 2: NEITHER THE DEMOLITION CREW NOR THE INSTALLATION CREW WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR PREPPING THE BLACKSPLASH AFTER DEMOLITION. This meant that it was the homeowner's responsibility to install drywall and to make sure that the backsplash was level. The backsplash was 1.5 inches unlevel from one end of the backsplash to the other. Thus, in addition to the provision of drywall because the existing drywall was damaged during demolition, we had to shim the drywall to ensure the backsplash was level for the backsplash installation. RESULT: We had to go buy wood, cut it to the specific dimensions and install the new underlayment for the backsplash. IN SUM: GMS provided what the contract stated, an installed countertop and backsplash. It was not stated in the contract that it be level or that it be level to the degree that it was level prior to the new installation. The installers showed it to be level because the countertop was 108.5 inches long X 46 inches wide X 3cm deep. So, BEWARE. If this is the type of installation you are looking for, this is the organization for you.

We appreciated not only their "can-do" attitude but also their skills to back up the attitude. We also appreciated that they didn't try to upsell us; Zach always had high-end options for us to consider, not to increase the costs but only because he wanted us to be happy with the results, and if we wanted to keep things simple/inexpensive, he was happy to accommodate us. We are super happy with our new bathrooms and will definitely call on Apex for our next projects.

They had to tear the bathroom down to the studs due to rot and rebuild the structure. The bathroom turned out beautiful. The old flooring was in bad shape which required removal, the floor leveled, and new flooring installed. It is now better than ever. Throughout the process which took about a month, Zach was just a text away. He would call with updates to let me know how things were coming along. He returned all communications within a few minutes. It could not have been an easier, smoother or a more enjoyable process. Best of all the unit looks fantastic and was rented immediately. Zach and his team were complete professionals that can be trusted to go above and beyond.
