I went to this well heeled venue the other day on a spa day package for 2. It was amazing. A great…read moreJacuzzi and pool with sauna and steam room. The showers were great with a whole host of body products, soft towels and hair dryers galore. the down side to the facilities was the steam room smelled of ming and left a bad taste in ones throat that water couldnt shift, it left me begging for a toothbrush and toothpaste. with minor trauma we had afternoon tea with a extra side order of extremely chunky crisp chips. my friend and i were fit to burst with this divine banquest of tea, scones pastries and cakes with tidy little finger sanwiches, this feast was heaven sent after our day of lounging. we left full to the brim and very content with our lavish adventure. I would recommend this place but smell the steam room before you dive in xx The staff were friendly and were lovely when it came to ensuring a fish and nut free banquest for my friend (thumbs up)

We stayed at this hotel as we were going to party at nearby Salts Mill and also it was my brithday…read moreit was a bit of a treat. Whilst we were only there for one night we were made to feel very welcome and staff wanted to help us at every opportunity. The room we were given was at the reat of the hotel so a bit of a trail from the lifts but that wasn't too much of a problem for us. It was clean, and the bathroom was well stocked with towels, etc. The breakfast was just what we needed before a day wandering around nearby Leeds, they offered frully cooked items and cold selections. Only minor point was having to wait a bit too long for a pot of tea. All in all I would go back but make sure you get a good deal on the price!

In contrast to other reviewers I did not have a good time here…read more I bought tickets early for the show I wanted to see and, to my disappointment, found myself in the upper circle - the only seats available. These seats are so steep that my companion genuinely had a mild attack of vertigo - this should have been mentioned at the time of booking as I would not have bought the tickets had I know about the nature of the seats. The view and acoustics were terrible here. You may say I simply bought too late but a few weeks later, when a friend asked if any seats were left, I looked again to see and, to my disappointment, found that seats in the stalls were now available. I hadn't been given any option to buy these a few months earlier so I wasn't happy. Be careful where you park too - the car park the Alhambra recommended I use had just two payment machines and a crowd of around 300 people queued for about 20 minutes after the show to pay for our car park. All in a all a very negative experience and one I won't repeat.

Great theatre in the centre of Bradford. It's quite a magnificent building from the inside and out…read more Excellent venue for watching shows and tends to get lots and lots of the bigger touring productions there. There's a bar on each level and you can get pre-show food. However, there are also lots of nice restaurants and bars nearby. I would recommend here as a place to go on a nice evening out.

Plan your special occasion dinner here!!! The Waterside Bistro and Bar hosted a very special…read morefamily dinner before the wedding for my nephew and his bride and her family. Despite the challenges of planning something with hosts who were in the U.S., the Waterside made this dinner a night everyone will remember. It was the first time bringing together different strands of a family that literally came from around the world. Ian kept everything running perfectly. We met up earlier in the day to iron out a few details and then those of us hosting didn't have to worry about a thing. Paul Huddlestone is a world class chef who works with fresh, organic, Yorkshire ingredients to make a menu that is both local and international in flavors. We are a family who really enjoy good food -- with many avid cooks, including professional chefs -- and everyone loved the food. The wine selections were perfect. And the prices were reasonable too, which was also a factor selecting the Waterside as a place for the dinner. They worked with us to please the tastes of everyone. Despite having a larger group, the selections were customized. The staff were all so warm and friendly. Chef Paul even surprised us with a lovely amuse bouche for our sparkling wine toast at the start of the meal. By dessert there were many more toasts thanks to a dinner that made us now one family. I have attached some photos just to show how happy we all were -- and the good food and relaxed atmosphere made that possible. If you want to have a dinner with some world class food that is firmly rooted in local cuisine, you should dine here. In addition, if you are planning a larger special occasion dinner: I cannot recommend the Waterside highly enough.
