I showed him the issue with my tire, and he replied with "it'll be just one minute" and rolled it away. I sat in my car for a bit and watched this beauty SPRINT through the job, replacing the valve, scrubbing, sealing, and pumping up the tire. It didn't look easy, and boy did he hustle. So about three minutes go by and he rolls it back and describes what he did. I pull out my wallet and he said "don't worry about it" and even walked away before I could tip. It made my day. Sep 30 received…read morea call from Kal Tire saying that the wheels I had in storage had not been transported from the Nanaimo shop where storages are apparently kept. This being the case I was rescheduled to Oct 3. On October 5 - a day after the wheels had finally arrived in Duncan, I waited 2 hours for my car to be ready despite the knowledge that I had already been inconvenienced. When the service technician brought the car back 5o me the first time, he noticed that the front office had not indicated that there were locking bolts sitting on the front seat that needed to be used. The service technician then took the car back on the hoist to put the correct bolts on. This took another 30 min - the technician blamed front office staff for not writing on the work order that the bolts were sitting there on the passenger seat. Now I understand that sometimes staff doesn't show up and that can cause delays but shouldn't the customer be called to advise there may be an extreme wait? I am not impressed.

Long story short, I had tried three well known body shops in town which all had long waiting periods for the initial appointments. One after the other gave me the same story we can't find a replacement for the year of this truck. I am now at my wits end and driving on my way home I thought to stop at Craftsman Collision in retrospect I should have tried first. Fast forward four months later after getting the runaround from the other body shops I met with estimator Riley at CC and explained my situation. He immediately got his manager Matt Greenberg involved and within 10 minutes he had procured an aftermarket bumper that matched the original. Matt is a young and personable manager with very good and resourceful connections. Throughout the process his staff were cordial and responsive. After a few days in the shop I had a straight and shiny looking like new bumper. This is a very busy shop but if you want the job done right I highly recommend Matt and his capable staff to look after your vehicle.

All of this was performed without charge - although we wanted to pay for the wonderful service. If you are ever looking for professional, supportive service - go to these guys. We live partly in Toronto, and we have commented (in astonishment) that you'd NEVER NEVER get service like this in Toronto. These guys are honest, they are professional, and they provide over-the-top customer service. I went back to H and M and they told me that they didn't do it. I told them that they must have done it because I had never run over anything and no one else had ever driven it since I had the new mufflers installed. They still denied doing it and when I said that I would show them how they did it on their middle ramp they asked me to leave and offered to give me the $300 back that I had already paid them. I took the money. When I got home again I found 2 broken engine mounts and 2 dented chrome valve covers. I went back with the motor mounts and they physically threw me out of the shop. They must have run it at speed up onto their center ramp and because it is low they hooked the mufflers on the ramp pulled the engine back far enough to break both engine mounts and dent both valve covers on the firewall.
