Not your typical austere clinic. The bright furniture and timber floors create a comfortable and…read morepleasant waiting room. Two front desk staff. And there's a TV. It's thoughtfully laid out, the five consultant rooms join directly to the waiting room; when your name's called, you enter a room that already has a doctor in it. It's easy to get the impression that Globe Medical is only for students and/or travelers. Wrong! Their GP services include: women's and corporate health, vaccinations, skin care services and general appointments. I've seen Dr Chris Rook and Dr. Maggie Phillip. Both were fantastic. Dr. Rook is a legend, he phoned me from home later the night of my appointment to let me know some test results. If they need to drain your b-l-o-o-d... there's a pathology collection centre downstairs. International students: OSHC Worldcare is billed directly (you'll still need to pay the gap). Located less than 200m from Rundle Mall, on Hindmarsh square. Phone ahead to make an appointment, they try their best to see you same day.

He is also very caring, compassionate and very dedicated to his patients! A friend of mine recommended him to me when I was diagnosed with breast cancer for the first time and he scheduled my first consult with him very quickly & on a public holiday.... dedication! When I was diagnosed with bc for the second time, naturally I stayed with him. His surgical skills are amazing, my scars from 2 breast cancer surgeries are fantastic, hardly visable at all. I've been a patient now since 2009 & wouldnt ever go to anyone else. His staff are always extremely friendly, caring & compassionate and are also highly efficient in their duties. I very highly recommend Dr Kollias.

GP on GP is a great little general practice on Gawler Place right off Rundle Mall. I have been to…read morethis practice a number of times and it's the only one I have been to where I have been 100% comfortable with the doctors. And due to it being right near Rundle Mall, it's an easy spot to get to. Although, it's hard to find at first because there isn't a big sign out the front as it's on Level 1 of another building. They bulk bill for students which I find very helpful, because I find it easier going to them than the GP at the University.
I have to agree with Rachel, one of the things I love about Gawler Place is feeling completely…read morecomfortable. I used to go to walk in clinics a lot because I moved around a bit too much to have a proper GP and I was never good at making an appointment when I needed one. Then I went to one of these places and the Doctor suggested I go to Gawler Place where the doctors might be better at dealing with a long term issue. So I went and I found a great doctor who I decided I would stick with. As luck would have it he ended up leaving the practice to go work overseas, but I got another doctor who has been equally good. I've found all the doctors I've dealt with have showed real concern for me. I also like the fact that you get to help doctors in training by letting them sit in on your consult--keep in mind that this is completely optional. Now when I'm asked who my GP is I have an answer and I feel like I can show up and have someone who knows my history and is concerned for my wellbeing. I also never have to wait too long for an appointment, but on some days it can be very difficult to get a same day appointment and there have been a few times when I've had to book a second appointment because the practice has been quite busy and I haven't had enough time with the doctor.

Thankfully, they're pretty incredible. If you've been struggling to find the right doctor to deal with anything related to women's health, I recommend giving these guys a go. Friendly, helpful, and non-judgemental. There is a real focus on getting to the bottom of whatever issues you're having, rather than just prescribing something and sending you on your way. There's a pathology clinic and a medical imaging clinic in the same building, and often if you get sent off for tests you can get everything squeezed into the same day. The only downside is the fees. Make sure you call them up and ask about their fee structure before your appointment.

The doctors are good however they're also good at the other clinics that I have visited, and unfortunately at Fountain Corner you are required to pay a larger fee when in comparison. Having said this, the doctors here are probably above average and I do think when it comes to health Fountain Corner is an appropriate and efficient clinic. Overall Fountain Corner is a nice and friendly practice, which can be found on Unley Road. With a fairly nice vibe attached to the environment here it's a pleasant experience, however just a little pricier than your standard fully bulk billed doc.

Dr. Middleton is usually the doctor I see when I'm there. He's quick and straight to the point. It's funny how the two male doctors there are complete opposites. Just as good as each other, but very different. You can book an appointment or just walk in and you will probably be able to see Dr. Middleton not too long after. If you're going just to get a doctors certificate or a prescription of medicine you will be out in 5 minutes with Dr. Middleton. He really is that quick. Don't get me wrong though, just because he's quick it doesn't mean he's not good.

They have extended opening hours which is fantastic so you don't have to take time off work to get an appointment all the time. I've always been given referrals for any family member to really good places as well. Usually they will bulk bill which heaps of places don't do anymore so if someone gets sick the day before pay day it's not a problem. They have a nurse on duty most of the time if you need. They have other more specialised services they offer such as some sports stuff, psychologists, weight management and laser hair removal. they also have a pharmacy in the same complex so you can get your prescriptions filled before you leave. Best features are the definitely the bulk billing, the extended opening hours and their after hours locum service (BEST thing ever is you have really sick kids - the doc comes to you and all the details are still kept on their same files). Usually you do need an appointment nowadays but if it is urgent and you just drop in they can usually work something out.

They will either get you in sooner or direct you to another service if needed. If you don't mind seeing a different doctor every time (which I don't unless it's an ongoing health issue) you can usually get in to see someone that day. After so many visits there, and so many doctors, I have to say that all the staff have been helpful, patient and kind. They are now my first phone call when I need medical help. Their extra late opening hours are great! *Bulk billing*

Not sure why that decision was made... The practice is run by Doctors Eugene and Hazel Nathaniel. These are the same 2 doctors I've been seeing for 29 years. Mainly I see Doctor Eugene as being a male there are some issues I'm only comfortable discussing with a male doctor. I've always been given good advice here. Doctor Eugene really gets to know his patients, and while he may suggest an issue is something that appears to be unrelated, he's never been wrong when diagnosing me. The only problem is getting an appointment. As the doctors bulk bill they are very much in demand. Everyone wants doctors that bulk bill. Add to that a lot of the patients have been going for as long as I have, some longer.

However, their wait times have not been as bad other hospitals I have been to in A & E. Note that they do not have any Paediatric facilities here so if you have a young child you may as well just go straight to Flinders as they will probably send you there anyway. We only had this occur once with our youngest but FMC then also sent us to WCH so it really wouldn't have mattered anyway. Grrr...... On a good note though I always go to the hospital if I need to have a blood test. Their hours are better for working people to fit into and their staff are much better trained and heaps better able to deal with kids fighting it every step of the way. Plus you never have to wait long. In addition a few years back to assist in getting the wait lists down for surgeries Noarlunga Hospital assisted FMC with some of their not high risk surgeries. So I got a call and only about 4 days later my son got his tonsils out. We had been on FMC wait list for over a year and he had it constantly. The staff were great with him and I was allowed to stay as well. Great to have this facility so close to home. Makes me feel a little less panicked somehow to at least be close to help if you need it. Just hope you never have to be in A & E here on election night...............worst experience ever! But not the hospitals fault so they lose no points on that one.

I ended up changing to flinders even though it's much harder for me to get there that's how bad this was. I never got to see the same midwife more than once, they were all horrible and didn't listen to a word I said when I was voicing my concerns and trying to inform them of my birth plan etc, they filled out all the information on my forms wrong, they neglected to measure my baby at visits which they should have been doing, lost my blood test results more than once so I kept having to have the same one. It was terrible all round and they failed to give me the information they should have and as a result I missed out on the natural birthing centre which would have been perfect for me and my baby. Flinders are so much better I highly recommend them.
