The place is run well professionally and that shows. I really appreciate that. Depending on when you go, you might meet different folks than I generally worked with, but the two main therapists there are Kim and Jennifer, and they are both extremely mindful, helpful, knowledgeable, and hard-working. (Of course they would be - they both earned PhDs and are thus real Doctors!) Whether you need work on proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (que?) or dorsiflexion (whoops!) external rotation of the glenohumeral joint, they can put you to work with a few exercise machines, light free weights, stretch bands, balancing devices, inflated rubber therapy balls, and *regularly-cleaned* treatment tables and pillows. Of course, they also have high-tech electronic devices for stuff like ultrasound, e-stim, etc. Kim and Jen do all of the critical hands-on work for each patient, massaging tissue and helping with certain exercises. The other staff are great as well, from the moment you walk in and are greeted by Kaffia (spelling?), to when you work with the PT assistants (my primary ass't was Maria, who is engaging and always there to help). The therapists also know how to choose outside experts well. I needed a referral and Kim directed me to Dr Eric Black in Florham Park. The guy was great, as was his office staff. (Maybe I should review his place as well.) I even met the field rep/sales guy who supports their machines, Ed Shuman. He's also knowledgeable and personable, but unless you need to contract with him for some equipment, you probably won't need to know that. He's also a friend from back when, so I know for sure he's smart and hard-working - which probably explains how I came to find him at this place where those are the expected standards. One thing this place is doing, like other places, is using e-questionnaires for intake and occasional progress monitoring. After putting in your answers about how your activities are effected, the app will show your expected progress after a course of therapy. You might not be pleased if you're told you are unlikely to make much progress. Such was the prognosis given to me by the app as well as Kim. It's not a great thing to hear, but much better for them to be forthright than mute. My prognosis offered so little improvement, I almost decided against treatment. However, I have enough chronic pain and functionality issues limiting my quality of life, so I undertook a course of treatment, hoping for the best. You'll have to deal with those realities no matter where you go, but at least this place offered some expectations to start with. For all those good things about Prof. PT, there is one "problem". (It's not really a problem.) The staff is so well-engaged and personable, that I feel like hanging around after my treatment is over! Seriously, I would be happy to go to work every day with a team like this. Overall, I think Prof. PT in East Hanover is a great place for treatment. It was very tough in the beginning but my therapist, Martha, was knowledgeable and knew what exercises I should start with and tailored them as we went. Therapy was a combination of exercises and massages. I started using the electric stimulation, which helped me regain control of my thigh muscles and be able to do leg lifts. In the beginning, it felt like my legs were paralyzed and I couldn't feel my muscles. Now, I can do leg lifts, can walk almost like normal and drive. There are 2 other therapists, Ally and Jose, which are good in their own ways. The receptionists are very pleasant and is easy to work with to make appointments. At this location, corporate office is just upstairs. There's a parking lot that goes to the back if you want some shade. Equipment is pretty up to date. There are also aids that help you out with your exercises, but they are not licensed. Overall, I recommend coming here for PT.

HOWEVER - corporate admits I am owed a refund of about $900 (!) for incorrect co-payment billing since May (!) 2024. They flatly refuse to reimburse the money until weeks after there are no more insurance claims for therapy sessions; then refund must be approved & after approval it takes 1-3 months to send the funds owed. My choices are to forgo the refund indefinitely, quit therapy and suffer pain and disability or start with another provider such as IVY. Meanwhile, both billing & the regional manager fail to return my calls. Positive reviews are about therapy & facilities, about which I agree. Negative reviews are about corporate practices, especially concerning billing and money. It's clear sailing if SportsCare gets the billings straight but it's been a rocky road, lackijg ethics and integrity, otherwise. This is no way to run a health care business. Y'all have been warned. Caveat Emptor.

This limited me from participating in sports, playing with my sons and affected my overall quality of life. After driving passed this place over and over, I decided to make an appointment and give it a try. I had an initial consultation with Drs. Locatelli and Tyminski. They were very friendly and thorough with their exam and subsequently sent me for an MRI. Confirming the bulging disks in my neck, they started therapy right away. This included manual therapy, exercises and their decompression machine. It took a while as it was a chronic condition, however, I'm happy to report I haven't felt this good in years! The PT I predominantly worked with was Beth Gaerlan. She is knowledgeable, motivating, professional and a pleasure to work with. I really owe a lot of my recovery to her. The entire staff at Total Health fit Beth's description as well, what a wonderful group of professionals! Truth be told, I really didn't want to go to PT as I was skeptical. After working with the staff, I wanted to continue even when they said I didn't need to go. Total Health gave me my life back and for that, I'll be forever grateful. I have…read moreMedicare and I was never told of an out-of-pocket expense and I had been to the facility many times I ended up leaving the state for emergency hip replacement surgery so I was never checking my physical mail at my home. I received an email last week saying I had a balance of $173 and I was being sent to collections. I answered the email immediately and called them and said that I was out of state that I could send $50 ASAP and then upon returning to I would pay the balance in full. Nobody answered my email and just this morning I received a second email saying I was being sent to collections. When I did call the office, they told me they would not take anything less than $100 and I explained to them that I was out of state and I was not denying the debt. I just was unaware of it and I was still recovering from surgery. Bottom line is this facility with the billing department is extremely rude and unprofessional, and I have no issues with the acupuncturist she was great, but I would stay away from this place because if you run into a billing problem, there is no communication and they are not willing to be flexible at all. If you're looking for Acupuncture, I community Morristown. She is wonderful and she works with you. I tried leaving a review under their website and I was unable to so I'll keep trying to do that and this is the best area I can do a complaint. I just feel bad for the older generation that might run into this billing issue and not be aware of it on a fixed income.

This time I also lost money. They should have someone handling money all day long, not make the PT folks juggle payments and clients. At first I had Justin as my primary therapist, but he was in the process of being transferred to a different location. My initial reaction was to follow him.
