Parking meter to pay for parking on the street by the hotel.

Wow I was shocked at my experience here. I got maybe an hour of sleep as there were loud noises in the wall all night. There was a nasty stain on my down comforter and the room looked very antiquated as I wouldn't let any of my stuff touch the carpet as it wasn't vacuumed. The front desk gentleman was nice but when I checked I asked if there was a restaurant and bar open and he said yes I followed with can I have that sent up to my room and he said I would be lucky to get food as they are short staffed at the hotel. That set a very bad precedent from the start. I'm telling all my business colleagues about this as it was disgusting to be honest. I'm ashamed at the Sheraton brand. Also to only have parking on the street in a not so safe area is not the best for your guests.

This entire hotel is an absolute unsafe disaster. Avoid this place at all costs. This is nothing that respects the Marriott brand. In fact, the most insulting thing is on the website. It says brand new hotel. There is nothing new about this place. The parking garage is quite literally falling down. Stay out of it if you value your vehicle. The rooms are tired, old have not been updated in probably 30 years. The entire place feels empty, isolated and it's just disgusting. No electrical, extension cords, which are unsafe, filthy stained, carpets, doors that don't work... The list just goes on. You're better off sleeping in your car.

Stayed for one night at this hotel on way back home from a cross country trip. Though the property is very nice looking and very similar to a hotel you'd find in any of the larger American cities, it is located it the desolated downtown area - and when I say desolate, I mean desolate. There are absolutely no people to be found after dark on any of the streets in the area. No food options except for a local pub around the corner which was actually fairly decent. Be very cautious especially if walking alone. The one person that we did encounter was some doped up homeless guy. Parking is a bit shady. No one was present to direct us where to park so common sense told us to park in the parking deck behind the hotel. The back door to the hotel adjacent to the deck was locked. Had to lug belongings around the block which was annoying. Upon check in, was told to move car to another parking deck across the street since the hotels doesn't contract with the deck I originally parked in. This parking deck is also quite shady. Be very aware of your surroundings when parking there and walking to the hotel. The hotel seems to be overrun with teenagers looking for a party. Front desk staff had us sign an agreement that we would not have a party or have more than five people in our room... kinda shady, especially for a main brand hotel. The front desk clerk mentioned that this is an ongoing problem. The room itself is nice. Beds were comfortable. Walls are quite thin and heard a barking dog all night long from the room next door. Windows are equally as thin as was able to hear every vehicle that passed by - including many police and fire truck sirens - you'd think you're in NYC. If you're expecting a good shower, look elsewhere - the water trickled out slowly. All in all, property is nice but I would probably not return if I ever find myself in Peoria again. Only pro is that you can easily access I-74 for a quick escape from the area.

I had my wedding here at the end of June and was absolutely blown away! (Plus a few months prior to the wedding they repainted the entire room a tannish/brown...no longer the "meh" forest green.) What made Packard EVEN better was the staff. I had the best wedding planner in the world and am so sad for future brides that Kori won't be there to help you...she was amazing! (Don't worry, there are other wonderful ladies there that will help you and be awesome for you!) The reception went smoothly and that is mostly due to the organization of the staff at Packard. They have binders for every couple getting married and keep every email, conversation, checklist, you name it...in that binder. Last, the chef/caterer, One World....We got SOOOO many compliments on the food at our wedding. We literally had a friend email us to tell us how great it was and how he had never had that good of food at a wedding before. It was phenomenal! I loved Packard Plaza and our photos from the reception turned out amazing. Highly, highly recommend it!

Had a blast at my brother's wedding. The set-up is quite interesting. We went up a bunch of stairs…read moreand then some more because we were part of the wedding party. The second floor overlooks the seating area and surrounds the dance floor. It seems that they bring the wedding party up so that they can make their grand entrance down some stairs to the head table. The only thing is that they don't utilize the space any more than that, although some of the photographers used it for pictures. The space is right for a smaller size wedding. The staff was quite adept at keeping tidy during service, almost so much so that they almost took away stuff I was still working on. I don't fault them too much on that, they were busting their butts out there. The only thing I didn't like is that sitting at the head table I could see the food carts being rolled in around the DJ table to the kitchen area. I thought that looked kinda weird. Overall we had a really good time and a lot of people got out on the dance floor. That's all that matters.
