The incredibly friendly and helpful staff at the Four Points by Sheraton Peoria are the only thing that keep this from being a one star review. Throughout our stay, everyone from the front desk, to the restaurant, to the valets were fantastic. Unfortunately, the hotel itself is a hole. First, the upkeep is terrible. Stones in the facade of the front "patio" area are falling off and littered about. The stairs to the pool had one of the plastic runners coming off; they're lucky no one has tripped and fallen. The rooms are dingy and not well-kept. Our window shade literally fell off in the middle of the night. Others in our group had no hot water, or non-working toilets. You have to request a mini fridge or microwave to be delivered to your room and, even at that, no one in our group got either. This place also has the slowest elevators imaginable, and there is no lobby access from the stairs on the upper floors. The staff were recommending the service elevator at one point during our visit. Second, expect to pay for everything. There is no complimentary breakfast or water. There is no on-site parking: Your choice is $17 a day to self park a block away, $21 a day for off site valet parking, or metered street parking. The hotel isn't in a great neighborhood so you're taking your chances on street parking. The hotel also wouldn't permit our group (a youth baseball team) to gather for pizza in the downstairs lobby area or even pay for a conference room to have pizza. Hotel policy is no off site food...period. Pool and hot tub area is huge! The kids in our group had a blast playing in the water. I'd recommend you bring your own towels both to the hotel and to the pool. Our room had one bath towel for three people and, although the front desk staff were apologetic, it took several trips downstairs before we could get more towels. The bottom line is you could pay a lot less for a hotel that you know will suck. I'd recommend not spending your money at this one. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. We had a cart for our luggage. Front desk says to go up four stairs to the elevator... With a CART!! Oh, well, you can hike around to elevator on 2nd floor and go up to 6th floor only to have a filthy dirty disgusting room, unmade bed that someone had obviously been sleeping on, maybe for a quickie, looks like the room was vacated quickly, and the whole floor REEKS of marijuana. read more

This entire hotel is an absolute unsafe disaster. Avoid this place at all costs. This is nothing that respects the Marriott brand. In fact, the most insulting thing is on the website. It says brand new hotel. There is nothing new about this place. The parking garage is quite literally falling down. Stay out of it if you value your vehicle. The rooms are tired, old have not been updated in probably 30 years. The entire place feels empty, isolated and it's just disgusting. No electrical, extension cords, which are unsafe, filthy stained, carpets, doors that don't work... The list just goes on. You're better off sleeping in your car. read more

Wow I was shocked at my experience here. I got maybe an hour of sleep as there were loud noises in the wall all night. There was a nasty stain on my down comforter and the room looked very antiquated as I wouldn't let any of my stuff touch the carpet as it wasn't vacuumed. The front desk gentleman was nice but when I checked I asked if there was a restaurant and bar open and he said yes I followed with can I have that sent up to my room and he said I would be lucky to get food as they are short staffed at the hotel. That set a very bad precedent from the start. I'm telling all my business colleagues about this as it was disgusting to be honest. I'm ashamed at the Sheraton brand. Also to only have parking on the street in a not so safe area is not the best for your guests. read more

DO NOT STAY HERE SLEEP IN YOUR CAR INSTEAD. This is the worst place I have ever slept in my entire life. The rooms are disgusting. There are drain flies living in all the rooms. The building leaks so when it rains there's water everywhere. Rooms smell like water damage. Weird stains everywhere. You're afraid to sleep in the bed so you just sit on top of it all night in fear. No housekeeping services provided. You feel afraid to take your shoes off even so you just sleep with your shoes on. You want to cry but if you had to fight off an intruder crying wouldn't help so you can't even cry. This place is DISGUSTING AND SCARY. We packed our things after the first night and left because it was so scary. Would be better idea to just sleep in your car. read more

DO. NOT. STAY. HERE. Stayed 8-19-23 to 8-25-23 for business trip. "Business center" is a room with table and chairs. Two printers, one with no ink cartridge, neither with paper. Brought to the attention of staff, but no offer to get paper or ink. No staplers, tape, pens etc. Only time anyone came to guest room was twice when I had to ask for more towels. (BTW, the a/c blows directly at you at night.) Asked if it was okay to park in front of hotel to unload, staff said okay-- took three trips to unload the business materials. I parked in the same spot when leaving. After two trips, the staff put an orange sticker on my back windshield for being parked too long. No parking garage connected to hotel and no parking validation. The pool is shut down. On the other hand, the restaurant's menu, though limited, was fresh and very good, and the restaurant staff was fantastic. read more

Stayed here in a clean comfy room, and walked to the Civic Center for a conference. Enjoyed the workout room, and free lobby coffee. Pool was closed, but I was there on business so not really important to me. Friendly staff! They did sort of warn us they'd lock the building at sunset, so heads up if you're traveling alone. Stayed for one night at this hotel on way back home from a cross country trip. Though the property is very nice looking and very similar to a hotel you'd find in any of the larger American cities, it is located it the desolated downtown area - and when I say desolate, I mean desolate. There are absolutely no people to be found after dark on any of the streets in the area. No food options except for a local pub around the corner which was actually fairly decent. Be very cautious especially if walking alone. The one person that we did encounter was some doped up homeless guy. Parking is a bit shady. No one was present to direct us where to park so common sense told us to park in the parking deck behind the hotel. The back door to the hotel adjacent to the deck was locked. Had to lug belongings around the block which was annoying. Upon check in, was told to move car to another parking deck across the street since the hotels doesn't contract with the deck I originally parked in. This parking deck is also quite shady. Be very aware of your surroundings when parking there and walking to the hotel. The hotel seems to be overrun with teenagers looking for a party. Front desk staff had us sign an agreement that we would not have a party or have more than five people in our room... kinda shady, especially for a main brand hotel. The front desk clerk mentioned that this is an ongoing problem. The room itself is nice. Beds were comfortable. Walls are quite thin and heard a barking dog all night long from the room next door. Windows are equally as thin as was able to hear every vehicle that passed by - including many police and fire truck sirens - you'd think you're in NYC. If you're expecting a good shower, look elsewhere - the water trickled out slowly. All in all, property is nice but I would probably not return if I ever find myself in Peoria again. Pull up to check at about 9:30pm and there's someone standing out front Blaring music on a very very loud speaker. Valet guy says, oh yea that's a homeless guy who just got out of jail but we can't tell him to leave.... Check in - go to my room that has no window.( it's in the pool area so the only window opens directly to the indoor pool) The LOBBY pictures look nice in pictures but when you actually go back into the rooms and Hallways, it looks like a 1960's motel. Call in the morning to get room service coffee. No room service, you have to come to the lobby to get coffee. Goes down to the lobby--no coffee made with about 5 people standing around waiting for coffee. 'Sorry maam it will be a while I have to put on a pot it's not made yet.' This was after 7:00 am by the way.. Goes back to my room which is located in the pool area. Locked out of the pool area because my key doesn't work to open the pool area door. Attempt to Call the front desk over and over to get someone to come let me in the pool area. Front desk Rings and rings and rings No answer. Get passed on to person after person and impossible to speak with anyone directly. When I arrived , I didn't feel safe walking from my car at night so I had them valet it for me. They send me a link and say I must use this link when I want them to retrieve my car for me in the morning. Of course , next morning I'm trying to leave, the valet link doesn't work and theres no one standing at the valet station as I'm trying to get to a work meeting on time. I really can not get out of here fast enough.would give zero stars if I could. read more

Disappointing. The two good points about Four Points. The staff I encountered seemed nice and the room (other than floor by corner chair) appeared to be clean. The downsides. Screaming kids in the hallways after 10PM and marijuana smell. The presence of security might reduce these issues but that's one area that's likely been cut short during these Covid reduced occupancy times. Elevators. Only two in the building (shame on the architect) and only one of them working in a nine story hotel. Bring a book to read while you're waiting. I got up to the room. Pitch dark. OK, where's the light switch? It's just a ways around the wall. Flip up, down, up down. Apparently the bulb is out. I leave my luggage in the doorway so I can see and flip the lights on in the bathroom. Then I go to look for a room light that works. There's a table and a floor lamp in the corner. I try to turn them on - they don't work. I look behind the chair and they're unplugged. I slide the chair over to plug them in. There's some kind of clothing or garbage under the chair - I didn't investigate further. I plug in one lamp - it still doesn't turn on. Forget it - we'll just use the bathroom lights and the ones by the bed. Given our age of technology, electrical outlets were few and the ones that were there were tough to access beneath the dresser (or not functioning as in the case of the lighting). I can't remember the last time I stayed in a hotel where the room didn't have a small refrigerator. It wasn't missing - the other two rooms that my family was in didn't have them either. Parking access isn't too good. Given the size of the property, I would assume that the Four Points would be one of the premier hotels to stay at in Peoria. If this is the case, my advice is not to stay in Peoria. read more

I booked here because we are doing more business in Peoria and wanted to check out a new place to recommend for Colleagues coming in to town. Young man at front desk Is great. The positive ends there. . . Property is in distress. Appearance is tired, worn, threadbare. Window blinds are damaged, worn with holes. Ice machine on my floor is broken, sitting sideways in it's nook. Water dispenser in fitness room busted. Door open, parts laying about. Restaurant bar is closed indefinitely to "upgrading the menu". It's not bad enough to move out. I'm just here a few nights. But will definitely not recommend this property to colleagues visiting Peoria and won't stay here again. I wonder where the people that own this property stay when they are in town. It's definitely not here. read more

I have staying at Marriott properties for almost 20 years and this ranks in the top 3 worst experiences. The staff seemed very nice. However, as has been the case with multiple Marriotts over the years, one of the elevators was broken. This hotel only has two elevators and when you're staying on the 6th floor, it's not always convenient to take the stairs. In the 21st century, I expect to find multiple places to charge devices, especially in the desk area. The only plugs in the desk area were UNDER THE DESK. Also there was not enough light near the full length mirror outside the bathroom and the sink is inside the bathroom which makes it difficult when two people are trying to get ready at the same time. The bathroom was poorly ventilated and without a fan. The noise after hours was appalling. Children running up and down the halls and people jumping off of beds in room directly above ours, doors slamming, people screaming. We checked out early Sunday morning and the smell of weed in our hallway nearly gave me a contact high. It's a shame the experience was so poor because it is a lovely property and the location is terrific and while I understand that perhaps hotels are being lax with rules in order to attract business but this was ridiculous. I realize sports teams often play in tournaments on weekends and stay in hotels. They should be made to follow the rules or perhaps Marriott should have one of their brands specifically cater to large groups and I will make sure to avoid that brand. read more

I stayed at this place for a month with for my job and while I was at work housekeeping went into my room and went thru my stuff and took my dead fathers ring they did a lock interrogation on my door and found out someone had been in my room while I was gone and did not service my room I've filed a police report and noting been done Gm got fired no structure at hotel I've stayed all over the world for the last 30 years and this has been the worst experience ever and a big inconvenience I would not suggest a homeless person to stay here for free. read more

This hotel had so much potential!!! I was so excited to stay here for the Pokemon Regionals. I have small kids and we booked for the pool and proximity to the convention centre. It was quite close to the convention center and the beds were very comfortable and the rooms were spacious. The pool was closed the whole time and seemed like it hadn't been open for a while. Street parking isn't too bad but could be annoying if they are actually checking meters. It seems like they are incredibly short staffed and need more help to get this place to what it should be. read more

Stayed at 4 points in Peoria for work September 23-35, they charged me incorrectly (twice actually) and I have a refund receipt however never received my refund. I was told 7-10 business days but still nothing. on oct 18th I need to file a dispute with my credit card because they can't find the refund. Seems to me they hope customers done check there credit card statements so they can get away with fraud. Watch your money at this location. read more

I booked a room with a balcony for one night and when I got to the room, the card unlocked the door but someone was in the room that I had just booked and had it locked from the inside telling me he was "painting"... he never unlocked the door for me and it didn't even smell like paint in there and it was a member of their staff. When switched to a different room, it was smaller with no balcony! So by the third room switch, I finally got comfortable... that was until one of the lights didn't work, there was a used plunger sitting out in the hall along with a soda can with no one around. Not to mention half of the ceiling was missing in one of the hallways with exposed pipes and the pool was absolutely disgusting as well as the lobby. Do NOT waste your time here. read more

Despite my 3 star rating I do believe there is very, very strong potential there for this to a be very nice hotel. I also completely understand the issues and challenges of running a hotel during the middle of a pandemic. I also know that the hotel is under the Marriott banner. I am a Titanium Elite and have been for a number of years. I can also say this was, in some ways, the most disappointing stay ever in a Marriott brand. The front desk experience really, really needs serious attention. It was obvious it is being staffed by either temporary or part time employees. When I checked in, the first question I was asked was did I want points for my stay. Have never been asked this before. The answer is yes. No mention of the breakfast buffet was said until after the check in and I asked about breakfast. When I got there the next morning, it was very, very nice with very, very friendly staff who are tremendous assets for the hotel. No complaints there. There should be much better advertising in the hotel regarding the restaurant. It seems like many guests didn't realize it was there. . When I got to my room, there was a large full trash bag sitting in the hallway. It sat there for about 36 hours before it was moved. There were a few small pieces of paper and plastic on the floor on the hallway which were never picked up during the entire stay. The shower curtain liner in my room was very, very dirty at the bottom. It was disgusting. The toilet did not flush properly. I did call the desk about both issues. They immediately sent up a very friendly and professional employee to work on the toilet. He is a tremendous asset for the hotel. Nothing was done about the dirty shower curtain liner. It's like the front desk didn't know how to handle the situation. i appreciate that Amazon Prime was a TV channel the hotel offered. It's not offered at too many hotels. I got to finish watching a couple of movies on a wide screen. Thank you. All in all, more attention has to be paid now to the overall cleanliness otherwise things might pile up and things get too far behind to ever catch up. To see that in the middle of a pandemic is a bit disconcerting and unsettling. In most cases, the Marriott Rewards points post in about 48 hours or so after check out. So far, they have not posted but I will give it some more time before I have to go through the tedious process of calling customer service Marriott Rewards to have the points posted. That is a hassle and hopefully it will not be something I have to do. read more

I booked two rooms for two nights at the Four Points Sheraton in Peoria, IL. I have been traveling for business with Marriott for over 20 years and have Titanium Elite Status. This hotel was dark, old, flithy and disgusting. I had to ask to have one room changed it was so bad with dirty bedding, sticky floor, and soap scum on the bathtub. The other was almost as bad and didn't even have an outlet in the bathroom. It was awful and not up to what I expect as Marriott standards. read more

If you like BEDBUGS, COCKROACHES, very stained towels, and the smell of pot this is your place. Best bring your own towels and toiletries because odds are they won't have any extra. If you need something just go to the smoking area you can always find the staff there. Make sure you have spare change for the homeless by your car in the deck. On the homeless scale they prefer the parking deck to the hotel. By the looks of the clientele if you ask they may offer hourly rates. read more

This Four Points feels like a Clarion Inn done up. For the discounted Hotwire price i paid, should have had slightly more comfort. A bit run-down and antiquated. Front desk was friendly though the room i had reserved was not available and she wanted to put me by the pool- when i said ABSOLUTELY NO- i don't want to stay by the noisy pool- i am here for work and i need to rest- she pretended like she was doing me a favor by putting me in a "suite" on the "executive floor." The room was nothing special- maybe slightly above average (for a motel). Bennigan's connected to the Four Points doesn't help with the "class" factor- in fact it cheapens the Sheraton to a trashy hotel. I was comfortable in the room, it was clean. The heater worked upto 90- which i am grateful for- since i am always cold! the wifi had a pretty strong signal parking was easy location is ok- right in downtown (where there's not much happening), about 15 minutes from the airport but close to the highway. read more

This 4P reminds more of an old Holiday Inn (it was) than a remodeled Four Points. The rooms have somewhat of a smokey smell, the bathtubs appear off white with age, and the carpet is very thin. Check-in seems to take much longer than it should. Commonly there are several employees behind the front desk but only one is checking in guests. Speaking of delays, the elevators are the slowest I have ever encountered. Sometimes it can take 5 minutes for the elevator to show up (not an exaggeration, I timed it). The prices are competitive and the location is pretty good. I have stayed in much worse hotels in Peoria, and plan on sticking with 4P. For the market, the 4P is a decent option in Peoria. read more

I can't even fit all the bad stuff into one review, but here are some lowlights: -in my bathroom there is a gaping hole filled with brown mold -my key card stopped working four different times. Desk: "Don't keep it near your phone." Hello, it's 2012 - solve your problem -I asked if a soup was vegetarian, was told yes, and was delivered a soup covered in bacon. Actually I gave them the second star just because they handled this so nicely - called to apologize, brought up a free dessert - but they STILL couldn't understand why I didn't want the French onion soup instead. After all, it's just got beef stock, no "real" meat -my room is not dirty, but it's dingy and beat up - patched wallpaper, weird ceiling stains, scratched toilet that LOOKS dirty which is unappealing even if false -no plugs on the nightstand -that stupid thing most hotels do where there is a sharp pointy handle on the desk right where my stomach leans. Actually had to unscrew handle with a butter knife However, the staff is very sweet, and the hotel is pretty convenient to the convention center (why I was here), and the wi-fi and parking are free, and the climate control is pretty good. I used Four Points as a second hotel option for guests traveling in from out of town for our wedding. They were VERY accommodating with our gift bags and even allowed us to sit a framed sign on their front desk to let our guests know to state they were with our party...to get a gift bag, duh. :) The reason for the 3 stars is because of our reviews from our friends. They said the rooms were ok, but wished in the end they would've paid a little extra to stay at the other hotel. Very friendly staff, a reasonable priced hotel...but just decent. read more

So disappointing, we called and were told everything, including the pool was open. Arrived and nothing was open. Front desk said the Pantry Store would have lots of items but almost all of the shelves were empty and nothing listed on the pricing sheet was available. Had to have maintenence up 2x to fix the heat and on the 3rd time asked to have our room switched. We were downgraded from the junior suite to a double queen after waiting 45 minutes. Stayed in this hotel twice over the past year. The rooms have been updated at some point yet they do NOT feel clean. The heating unit was filthy, room was dusty... I found a crushed water bottle on the floor behind the curtain. Bathrooms are VERY small. There is coffee in the lobby but they ran out by 8:30 a.m. Maybe this was a fluke but I can only base my comments on my own experience. Icing on the cake? A roach. We were with a group of people and the roach was crawling on the coffee table in the hospitality suite next to the pool area. The parking deck is very creepy and very dark. Whoever is responsible for the parking structure should add more lights. The hotel is within walking distance to the civic center. It is a very tired, worn hotel. read more

I am very unsatisfied with Four Points lack of response to their customers. My fiancé and I planned out wedding for June 2015 at the hotel, signed the contract, and put down a security deposit. When we tried to get in contact with them a few weeks later, no one answered the phone. Ultimately we found out through a news paper article that the hotel would not be opening until fall of 2105, after our wedding date. I have submitted two complaints through their website and still have not been given a response in regards to returning our deposit. I would not recommend Four Points to anyone and would give it no stars if I could. read more

With a fine view of a sleepy downtown, the Sheraton has a lot to live up to. Especially since you're paying $100 a night in the middle of nowhere. While the reviews claim it to be renovated, I'm not buying it. First off, I walk in the room and there are no light switches. If every room came with a Clapper that'd be fine, but instead you're left to feel up the wall awkwardly then realize there's no light switch. I went to take a shower and it took a decent amount of time (5+ minute) for the water heater to warm up. I called the desk and they said they'd send maintenance. 15 minutes later, with cold water still running, maintenance never showed. Called the desk again. After 45 min from my initial call the maintenance guy shows up. Apparently he had to restart the boiler. Couldn't he have phoned the room to tell me so? Additionally, the sheets on the bed are a little coarse. If you're used to Egyptian Cotton with thread counts well over 400, you're not going to find it here. Asides from my gripes, one nice feature was a good size natatorium. The hot tub wasn't anything to write home about, but after a long day of hustling around Peoria it'll do the job. read more

I have a reservation during this time frame and no one called to let me know I need to find another place to stay. If a friend did not tell me, what was going to happen? Was planning a trip to Peoria, and had friends staying at Four Points for a convention. Let's not go into details, but, items were stolen from their rooms... that's right, ROOMS. And even from the conference room. Bugs in one room, and shall we say, people roaming halls that were not guests, or even invited by guests? At least on one occasion, strangers walked into a room thinking it was theirs.... with a different room key. I'm trying to be polite, because I had heard good things about Sheraton Hotels. Smoke alarm kept going off in our room at about 10x the loudness of yours at home!! 3 and 4AM while trying to sleep. Unclear if we were having a fire somewhere or if my room is defective. Staff said it was probably a battery-these should be scheduled changes not when the guest is woke up! Hotel would not reimburse for the stay. I expect more at a Four Points Sheraton, especially for the price paid. They did give me two tickets for free breakfast in Bennigans, but unfortunately after twenty minutes of not clearing the table, no coffee, water or eggs on buffet, we gave up and went somewhere that cared. Manager to be contacted at three the same day to discuss costs, when we called he was 'not in' and they said he would contact us, but no one has. read more

Where do I begin? My fiance and I walk up to the room, the door is open. I thought it strange but thought perhaps they just forgot to close it. Nope! We discovered later that the door didn't lock on its own. When we brought it to the front desks attention they didn't seem the least bit surprised. They set up the plastic cups for you to use.two of the cups were wrapped the third wasn't and had a bunch of grime in it. The pool was freezing, went to go warm up in the hot tub. It was luke warm. The bathroom definitely needs remodeling. The shower water was either scalding or luke warm, no in between. If we ever go see a show again at the Civic center, we won't be staying at the four points!!!!!! read more

4 stars compared to other options in town. They are clean, neat, very friendly staff (that should come standard with any hotel chain) They have a pool, Jacuzzi, sauna (Its a 2 person sauna, 3 if you don't mind being cramped), the gym was nice size (2 treadmills, 2 ellipticals, 2 bikes, some weights with a bench. They provided water bottles and a water machine which I thought was really neat! I would recommend anytime! read more
