I am lucky enough to have visited this site twice and have been totally impressed both times. Not only is the educational center a superb building, it is set smack dab in the middle of gorgeous nature. The parking is a bit limited but don't worry, there is an overflow lot which we used this weekend. The first time I came was for the National Parks Quilt exhibit, it was sublime. This past weekend I attended the last day of the Frida Kahlo's Garden exhibit, magnificent. The staff greets you like you are a long lost friend. They have activities for kids, super clean bathrooms and wonderful seats for when you need to rest. Plus free coat check hanging area. Perfect! read more

Went here today to see the Frida Kahlo's garden exhibition. It is such a beautiful place! I've known of Frida since I was a child & her story is just one that I've always remembered. She was brave & talented, even after so much suffering in her life. I love that they had live plants from Mexico here that Frida had in her garden in the blue house. Her paintings all tell a story. There was no entrance fee for this exhibition. I'll definitely be going back here for other exhibitions in the future! read more

I officiated a wonderful wedding here last weekend and it was so very nice and wedding day perfect! The staff were just amazingly kind and efficient. The food and service were top notch. My bride was happy and that was the most important thing at the end of the day. The spaces were really nice and clean and it helped that we had wonderful weather and ample parking as we used the outdoor spaces/Pavilion for the ceremony. We come here to enjoy the beautiful trails and river views, but one of the best parts of this place is the educational center with the wonderful staff. They put together such thoughtful and educational gatherings. The staff are so kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. They host free kid's programs throughout the year covering various nature/animal subjects. We've never been here for an event such as a wedding, but I imagine it would be a very beautiful location for that use as well. read more

Had my wedding there and it was PERFECT. The outdoor pavilion was gorgeous, the indoor reception area was wonderful, couldn't be happier!
