A superb facility. The Four Seasons is an exemplary wooden indoor warehouse skate park with true character.

Ice skating review- very small circular rink, I'm glad it's here, and I'm glad it's outdoors. I've…read moregot my own skates and the $2 locker rental won't set you back too much. Skate rental is affordable, but it's cramped inside, and the rink can get super crowded, too. If your kid needs help skating, they have li'l plastic penguins to skate with! I would like to see the bonfire that people have spoken of in the past. It's lacking in amenities, and needs to set itself apart, compared to Wilson Park or the Petit. They keep the rink Zamboni'd about once an hour, which isn't bad. A-Okay, not bad, not the greatest.

Great options for restaurants and bars to do before or after. Starbucks on location. Few benches to sit and watch, or rest. Rentals isn't too bad. $8 for kids, $10 for adults. Line can be long to rent. Ice rink is free otherwise, so it is advantageous if you have your own skates. Depending on number of skaters, the Zamboni comes out every 2 hours or longer to resurface. For those kids that are beginners, there is an option to rent little penguins for the kids to lean on and skate. They also sell snacks and a variety of other drinks but I loved that they sold beer (local micro such as MKE) and wine at a reasonable price ($4 for my MKE beer). Socially it is fun as I met young and old skaters...good and beginners! On New Years Eve 2020, one fellow said this year is about 5X busier. Fun and huge value if you don't need to rent skates for the family so why wouldn't you come check it out?

I learned recently that it's also a polling location for folks in the surrounding wards. I popped in to cast my vote in the election and it was my first time actually inside. Turns out it's essentially a warming house with a big ol' fire place in the middle as a place to get warm during skating season. There is plenty of free parking available. Games and events are always taking place. I look forward to returning when the snow falls!

True, winter means snow storms, bone chilling winds, shoveling, icy roads & lots of other things we'd all rather forget. But, winter also brings opportunities for a wide array of great outdoor activities, including a traditional favorite--ice skating. Longacre Skating Pavilion & skating rink are right next to Stormonth Elementary school at 7343 N Longacre Rd. The skating rink has one area for free skating & a 2'nd for ice hockey. Although, stray pucks tend to find their way into the free skating area. The ice surface can be pretty bumpy. Nobody around here owns a Zamboni! Skaters are invited to go inside the pavilion to warm up, the fireplace is awesome & always ablaze on weekends. The skating pavilion also hosts games & events. Free parking is available.

What a gem! You have…read moreto be a Whitefish Bay resident to rent this facility. It's $20/hour, for a maximum of 3 hours, with an extra hour for set up and clean up (30 minutes before and after the rental). In the hall, there are 2 large wooden tables and 4 round tables big enough to sit 8-10 already set up. In the back room, there are plenty of chairs that you will need to set up and put back. There is also another round table in the back, but it's missing legs, and you could try to install the legs on (there are some spare legs back there as well) to use the table. We didn't have enough time or the tools to try, but if you really want 5 tables, you might want to be prepared to get this done in time. There are also 4 folding rectangular tables inside. There are electric outlets that will accommodate slow cookers and such, and a little microwave. But no oven or stove, so all cooking will need to be done ahead of time. The gas fireplace will turn on easily with the touch of a button and bring beautiful atmosphere. All the lights are in the office. Bathroom is well stocked and all the cleaning supplies are in the cleaning closet. We had a lovely gathering and very thankful for the venue. Wish the rental could be for 4 hours rather than 3, but it was still a good amount of time.

During the winter months Cahill Square Park offers free public skating on it's full size hockey rink. This isn't just some unkempt pond, it's a full on Zamboni maintained hockey rink. How it's worked the last few weeks (as you can see in the picture) is they place dividers down the center line and one side is free skate and the other side is pick-up hockey. But they recently added a mini rink right next to the full size one and last week free skate was there and the whole full rink was for pick-up hockey. If you are looking for a place to lace up the skates that doesn't require signing up weeks in advance, Cahill is the place to go. Masks are required for using their facilities, but at an outdoor rink in the winter, why would you not want to wear one anyways? It is only available for open skate a couple hours each day so be sure to check the parks website for times!
