The 2.9 yelp review is absolutely fitting. Fooled by the beautiful location and views of the lake we decided to give this place a try. We were sat at a table inside and asked if we could sit outside, we were told "no" with no explanation as 5 tables were open with others sitting outside. The poor attitude and complete unwillingness to accommodate paying customers is shocking. We were more than happy to leave and never come back. read more

Four Seasons is a gem. Excellent staff, food is fantastic EVERY time. It's a "supper club", not fast food, you go for the ambiance, the leisurely drinks and great food. Don't want to wait, go to Culver's. Get so tired of complaints about waiting for your food. It's a small establishment, a small kitchen, they have this down to a science but it takes time, and it's time well spent. The view is breath taking, the owner is efficient and knows his stuff. I'm not really sure where all the negative reviews are coming from, if you're from the area or frequent the area often for vacation, you know there's been labor shortage and every establishment up here has a very hard time keeping up with the demand, especially during tourist season. If you cannot wait 30+ minutes to be seated or for your food, maybe the Northwoods isn't your vacation spot. Come early or make a reservation (not available on Friday's) if you're worried about the wait. Or do what most people do and have a seat at the bar, order some drinks, and be patient! I promise it's worth it. The bar is beautiful, drinks are good, and the bartenders are awesome. The view at Four Seasons is absolutely incredible, you're right up high on the lake and every table in the dining area and the bar has a great view. There's even outdoor seating as well facing the lake. Thursday night's special is the pot roast and it's phenomenal. I know what you're thinking, who goes out to get pot roast? I'm telling you right now, a lot of people do and it's worth getting. The portion sizes here are more than generous, side salads and soup cups are heaping. You will not leave here hungry. I tried the duck as well and thoroughly enjoyed it. The only thing I wouldn't recommend getting here are the beef options, there's just better places if you're looking for ribeye or a filet. Of the Supper Clubs we've been to over the last few weeks this is one with the least servers and youngest experience. What an absolute poor experience. As much as we understand the difficulties in finding help we ended up walking out without appetizers or main course being served. Won't be back Don't recommend here. As a professional traveler in the food industry eating meals out 10 times a week on an expense account I can say you don't want to experience this place. They need management help then server help. read more

Traveled from Tomahawk area to this restaurant to celebrate my mom's birthday. The ambiance on the lake was gorgeous, just wish the sun could have held on a little longer but that's March in Wisco for ya! Service was timely and kind. We enjoyed a Saturday meal so the special was prime rib - which my dad and grandfather had and very much enjoyed!! My mom had ribeye with the added onions and mushrooms, cannot go wrong with that. And I opted for the scallops - they were also very good but my only critique is the bed of rice was a tad much. Would have preferred half the amount of rice and maybe a veggie. My group had a rather strange experience here that I'm having trouble understanding. My wife has Celiac disease, which means that she is actually allergic to wheat and gluten. We told this the waitress at the outset of our meal, and she was nice about it (though as with most of these supper clubs, she didn't seem to have a great understanding of it). The salad came without croutons, etc., and she was willing to check with the kitchen staff about ingredients. However, when my wife's steak came to the table, it had onion rings sitting on top of it. I told the server that she couldn't eat it, and that we would need a new steak. She took the steak back and we were mildly annoyed that my wife wouldn't have her meal with the rest of us. Then, the hostess came to the table and told us that the cook was refusing to cook us another steak. She said they were going to take the whole meal off the bill, and that he would cook my wife some more shrimp, but that he would not replace the steak (that he ruined). We were flabbergasted - there was absolutely no reason for this, and the hostess seemed to have no power to make the cook re-do the steak. It wasn't closing time, they weren't out of steak, he just wanted to refuse us a meal. I've seen other poor reviews on this restaurant that seem to have a common theme of the cook arbitrarily refusing service to some folks. Needless to say, we almost certainly won't be back unless they get a new cook (or chef) and I highly encourage folks to reconsider this place - nothing aside from the steaks is particularly fantastic, it's all pretty standard supper club fare that you can get anywhere else in the area. In addition, last time I was there I overheard the owner (or one of the owners) tell a customer that they source their steaks from the same supplier as McGregor's Blink Bonnie. Although there's a bit of a long wait, I'd recommend going there instead - we've never been treated poorly there and it's so much more of what the supper club experience should be. In summary, eating at this restaurant seems to include a chance that the cook might refuse you service for no apparent reason. With so many other choices in the area, I would recommend trying somewhere else, as this establishment clearly does not care about their customers and takes no pride in their quality of service. Go somewhere else where you can enjoy the true Wisconsin north woods supper club experience without the risk of a man-baby cook ruining your evening. read more

We were called to our table at 6:30pm on 7/29/25. We ordered about 6:40pm and didn't get served until about 8:00pm. Fried chicken was very tasty however. Went to pay bill and asked owner if there was an extra fee charge if I paid by debit card. He said No surcharge for debit card, only credit cards. I said ok please use my debit card. I didn't have my glasses but upon looking at my receipt later found I was charged the 3% fee! Won't be coming back here again! read more

So if you come to the northwoods and don't come here, shame on you! This place is the ultimate supper club. Make sure you make reservations a few days in advance they book us fast!!!! Their Wednesday nights and Friday nights are the busiest. The parking lot makes the place look like not much but when you walk up the stairs to the bar area you see a beautiful view of the lake the restaurant sits on. A textbook Wisco Supper Club on the banks of a pretty lake. The environs were nothing special, but who gives a damn when there are picture windows and a spectacular lake view. The wall could have been unpainted cinder block and it wouldn't have mattered. Now, let's get the 1000-pound Gorilla out of the way, firstly. Combing through the Yelps, there is a recurring theme regarding certain members of the staff and their espousing political/social views. If these reports are true, it is unfortunate and most repulsive. However... During our visit, we did not see or hear any shenanigans as described. I was prepared to leave promptly if any of this shite was present. And truthfully, my antennae were up and alert. I won't abide political rant from innkeepers. Whoever the bad actors were must have gotten the memo and toned down the rhetoric, 'cos our entire visit was most pleasant. Lecture over. The 5 stars I threw here are for the food that was served and the service received. But enough about the circuses, let's get on to the bread. A proper Wisco Supper Club should know how to make a cocktail, and the bartender here should win a Nobel prize for her Brandy Old-Fashioned. And nobody flinches if you ask for a "tall" one. Aces! They had Escargot! They were fab, too. A perfect place to mention the outstanding dinner rolls brought out right away-splendid to soak up the garlic butter left over in the Escargot serving dish. Our pal who lives up there say these rolls are from a crack local bakery. They sure know how to eat up north, don't they? I swung with a pan-fried Walleye Fillet. Done perfectly. Wife had a great Filet Mignon, and our two resident friends had the Prime Rib. I really enjoyed my fishy treat, but should have gone with the Beef. Made reservations on a Thursday night and we were seated promptly. Everything started well until we noticed that everyone who came in after us got their food first. We were waiting close to an hour at that point. The waitress ignored us until we called her over and asked her what was going on. She responded by saying their regular chef was in Jamaica so they were doing their best in the kitchen due to that. When our orders finally came out, we had a steak which was very fatty and duck which the skin was burned after probably sitting under a heating lamp for too long. We were not about to send our food back and wait again. A lot of locals who were very loud filled the place. We had to yell across the table to each other to have a conversation. We were looking forward to a romantic dinner together at a supper club and got the total opposite. We would never go back there. read more

Nice little place, good food, decent prices, but was disappointed to see that they charge a fee for debit cards as well as credit cards. While that's up to the owners' discretion to surcharge for CCs, it's against state law to do so for debit cards. Good thing we did have some cash on hand. read more

We've been to the Four Seasons many times over the years. The food is good. Lately, the service has become very, very slow. I think it might be a problem of too little staff. Tonight we ordered the fish fry special (easy, right???) and after over 30 minutes of waiting, we asked the server when we could expect our food and she replied "I don't know". We got up and left, because if she didn't know if or when we would be served, why invest more time. There are enough other restaurants in the area that serve good food and offer good service. Beautiful lake view is the best thing in this review. Although the deck area was dirty. 3 of us had prime rib ordered med rare that was over cooked to well, chewy & tasteless. 1 rib & shrimp dinner which was good & why this isn't a 1 star review. On Saturday evening, 4 of us stopped by to see if we'd be able to get a table for dinner. We had shown up a few minutes before they opened, so we waited outside. I walked in and was immediately asked, very rudely (by the owner), if we intended to eat. I said yes and he asked if I had a reservation. When I said I did not, his response was, "Well then, you aren't eating here." Seriously? I understand that it's summer and I really should have called for a reservation, but there were a hundred different ways he could have handled that conversation. I understand there's a staffing shortage in the Northwoods and it's extremely busy, but it was flat out rude. How about saying we could sit at the bar for a cocktail and he could take our name if there was a cancellation. I would have been absolutely fine with that. I spoke with a co-worker and he indicated that the owner has mentioned having "his fill of tourists". Sorry to break it to you, but tourism is pretty important right now, especially with the lackluster winter we just had. Oh, and I'm not a tourist. I live in Hazelhurst, but thanks anyway. Based on a visit to Four Seasons Supper Club, May 27, 2021: I will no longer visit Four Seasons Supper Club due to the owner's blatantly racist views and comments. I have visited this establishment several times in the past few years and have occasionally stopped just for the beautiful view of the lake. I recently decided to stop in for an after-dinner drink with my parents, mentioning to them the view and relaxing atmosphere of the place. We sat at the bar and ended up chatting with a couple from Chicago who was also at the bar. The bartender introduced himself as one of the owners. Unfortunately I cannot remember if it was Neal or Kirk. We had about 15 minutes of nice conversation; discussion about family, the history of the lake and sunsets. Unprompted the owner quickly took the conversation from a nice discussion about the lake being quiet to it being even more enjoyable because "this area is still White America". The five of us at the bar froze unsure if we were all hearing him correctly. The gentleman from Chicago asked very clearly, "What exactly do you mean by that?" The owner/bartender's response was to give us a clearly made-up statistic that in the past 14 years there have only been 10 black people to enter the establishment. Stunned by the owner's response the couple from Chicago asked, "And you think that's a good thing?" to which the bartender immediately responded, "absolutely". We all let him know very clearly that he just lost 5 customers and we would not be returning. He immediately tried to justify his racism by throwing out phrases like, "we fought for this country" and "everything until Obama...". We again clearly informed him that he just lost several customers due to his racist views. We left enough cash for our drinks and left immediately. To the co-owners, workers and patrons of Four Seasons Supper Club: Due to one of your OWNER'S openly racist views and remarks, I will no longer support the Four Seasons Supper Club, and will encourage my friends and family to follow suit. Support of this establishment, financially or otherwise, is the equivalent to supporting the owner's views. If you've heard him on one of his rants and said nothing you are agreeing with him. It should be clear that the owner's beliefs, views and rhetoric are not supported or acceptable in the Northwoods or anywhere else. I hope that this review starts a discussion among your staff and opens the door to changes in views or leadership. read more

I'll start with the good. The food was good, almost really good. We had the steak, and the "pressurize chicken". The view is great as well. We waited for everything, like for ever. It took about 30 minuets to get wine. We decided not to order any other drinks because it would take so long. I'm not sure if the bartender was the owner or owners daughter but she was really bad. She was loud, like really loud. She treated the wait staff like kids, and had no since of hygiene. The place is really loud, over priced and Managment was rude to customers. I am writing this review to share my opinion of our dining experience along with the bad behavior we had to endure while waiting for our table. I may need to add a RATED R notice here. First - The food is just ok. I would not call this place a Supper Club. Previously frozen "bread sticks" is not my idea of a first course. Lettuce was iceberg and there were no healthy offerings for the side course. Fried everything. The potato pancakes were hard little discs. The walleye was good. The service was fine once we got our table but it took an entire hour for the food to finally come at 9:30pm. Everyone around us was also waiting so it seems something was very wrong in the kitchen that night. They were out of prime rib (my husband's choice) and no baked potatoes. Do yourself a favor and go to the Norwood Pines. MUCH better in every way for the same price. Zero comparison. Second - The owner is a dirty old guy. We sat at the bar for one hour and were ready to do so given we had not made a reservation. That is fine. The bartender was a friendly and efficient woman (dark hair pulled back) and we were having a perfectly lovely time talking to a younger couple on their anniversary vacation. They got up and some apparent regulars sat down right next to us. The owner came over and proceeded to tell them a joke about his penis, well knowing that we could hear him. He was trying to draw us in too so we knew just how funny he is. He wanted an audience for sure. (something about a customer saying he wasn't clean - diseases like AIDS - and how he puts his penis back in his pants with an ice tong (I will tell the whole joke on request here but you get the picture). Another joke about an old couple and SEX (He really said that as loud as possible) and again the penis and the woman holding it and her having parkinsons. (Again, I can recreate the whole joke if needed). I couldn't leave because of how the bar stools were on the curve of the bar and the couple next to my husband would have had to get off their stools for me to get out. I stared at my phone and really tried to block him out. It was really gross. Then I hear him talking about is granddaughter. I am sure that she would be so proud of him. My suggestion is that think about your patrons please. My dinner was ruined completely and I will never come back. Sick. read more

I have visited their establishment several times, and every time the food has been average. The owner is a very nice older gentleman, and the staff for the most part is very friendly as well. There was a lot of build up for this place. Everyone we were with said to order the pot roast and that it was the best pot roast ever to be roasted... Well, I split a pot roast with a member of our group and ordered the baked Walleye. I will cut to the chase, the roast was good, but was still pot roast. I didn't think it was as mind blowing as the hype suggested. The baked walleye was good, the filet was a decent size, very natural flavor and some melted butter for dipping. I had a party of four, arrived at 450pm and the place was empty except 3 people at the bar. After standing in the bar area for 5 minutes we were greeted by a lady who ask if we had reservations. I replied no, and she advised they weren't excepting anyone until 730pm. We drove almost an hour and really felt the situation could have been handled much better. I was embarrassed for my guests and myself. Totally unprofessional, definitely won't return. Maybe you should add to your website RESERVATION REQUIRED. Our experience was great. The four seasons was recommended by an acquaintance and he told us to try the fish fry on Friday but be prepared for a wait. We got to The restaurant around 5 PM and were seated around six. The bar was fantastic and my wife had a couple old fashions that she said were tremendous. There was also a dock area near the lake that looked inviting but the bartender was great so we stayed inside. We spoke with some regulars and they told us to get the perch. My wife had the chicken and I had the perch, both were awesome. Our view was fantastic as we overlooked the lake. The bar has a great supper club feel and it was exactly what we were looking for. I was very wary to go here based on the reviews but we made a reservation and went anyway. First off I think the experience we had was mainly due to our server (Kim, I believe) who was busting her butt! I was pleasantly surprised when I read their wine menu to see they have my favorite wine- Silk. I ordered a filet cooked medium with mushrooms and onions, fries and a salad. They give you Olive Garden style breadsticks for your table. My meal was fantastic, such generous portions. Other members of my party ordered ribs and the salmon and they both enjoyed them as well. used to be of our favorite place to eat. We will NEVER go back. After waiting for 90 minutes for our dinner to arrive, all the while watching other tables that were seated after us eat and leave. I told our waitress that we can no longer wait and please give us the check to pay for our salad and drink. She told us she would call the police if we didn't pay for our full order and brought the food out to the hostess table. I've been to Four Seasons three times now, and I would say my experiences have been consistent (the good, the bad, the mediocre). I've always come on a Friday night for fish fry. It's generally very busy, and there's no way to call ahead or make reservations. At least the bar is big enough to accommodate a crowd, so there's plenty of space to wait. The wait has always been... interesting. Our first visit we were quoted 45 min to an hour, which was fine. An hour comes, an hour goes. Then an hour and a half comes and goes. Finally we noticed that people that arrived well after us were being seated. We checked in with the host/owner only to find that he never put our names down. Unfortunately this didn't lead to immediate seating as we had to wait another half an hour to sit down. This was more or less a freak occurrence, however I have noticed that each time I've been waiting in the bar, some people show up and get seated very quickly. I have to wonder if they are friends/regulars that get special treatment, as this seems to happen a lot. I also tend to stick with wine in the bar as the mixed drinks are VERY hit or miss depending on who is bar tending. Once seated, I have found wait staff to be kind and attentive. Even on busy nights, it doesn't take too long to get food. The clam chowder is really, REALLY good. The rest of the food is mediocre. Nowhere near the best fish fry in the area, which is why I'm a little confused by the hoards of people that show up. The breading tends to crumble off the fish way too easily, and the fish itself could use some seasoning. I think the gorgeous view from the bar and dining room is what entices a lot of people more so than the actual food. If mosquitoes become extinct, I will sit on the gorgeous patio for the full visual experience, but alas those little blood suckers love me. One thing I'd like to note is the excessive use of plastic. The baked beans, coleslaw, tarter sauce, and sour cream are served to you on your plate all in little plastic containers. I'm sure this is to help expedite the serving process, but it just seems extremely wasteful. It can't save THAT much time to pre-fill all those little containers as opposed to scooping coleslaw, sour cream, etc from their original container into a glass bowl. Very, very wasteful. I'm sure I'll return to Four Seasons for a change of scenery from my usual go-to spots in the area. I just think with a couple of tweaks this place could easily become one of those go-to places. read more

I was told by a friend to eat here so we made reservations for 6 pm and got there early & they sat us down immediately. Window tables were taken already but we could still see the lake. Ordered 14 oz. bone-in rib eye steaks, both medium rare with mushrooms & grilled onions. Salads were prepared ahead of time & ice cold, understandable. One steak was medium and other rare but you couldn't see it because of the amble mushrooms & onions covering them. Baked potato and two crispy onion rings as garnish. Very little social distancing inside & out also servers were not wearing masks and it was not posted on the door for guests to wear. Patio was closed. Also additional 3.33% charge if you use your credit card - we pay with cash. I think we will look for another place next time. read more

We waited for an hour for our table and watched people walk in and be seated before us. No reservations are taken on Friday nights, so we should have seated first. Then we waited for over an hour for our fish. There are 12 tables in this place....perhaps the staff should be prepared for a Friday fish fry. It is not like someone is out catching the fish fresh. We really like the 4 Seasons. We have come here regularly for about 10 years now. We bring guests here to enjoy the food and view. I feel the wait staff to be very accommodating and friendly and if there is a bit of a wait, they do everything they can to keep us happy.
