Honest review: Moved in last July 2019- July 2020. I will say it wasn't terrible, but definitely could've been better. Maintenance was the only thing that gave them the third star. For the most part the stay has been OK, the office didn't bother us much, most information was sent via automated text message. Calling the office is always a pain because either no one answers or they answer with an attitude. There's always someone new in the office who sounds completely clueless... we were promised a specific move-in date and were told the cleaning people would be there, but upon arrival my apartment was UNLOCKED with cleaning people still in it ON MOVE-IN DAY; not even close to being done. Poorly renovated 6/10. Blinds, door stops, cabinets etc. broke off the first week. First couple of weeks there was a small bug prob, nothing major. For the next few months there was no bugs. The last several months, THERE IS A ROACH OR THREE EVERYDAY IN MY APT. They let anyone move here, upstairs neighbors constantly having cops and domestic violence issues, balcony neighbors stare into your apartment. People never pick up after their animals and litter all over including in the balcony for it to seep down to the patio beneath. Management just sends out a text/ notice not to litter.I watched some neighbors kids planning to mess with my car until I walked down, no idea where the parent is. As I said, they let anyone move in. And they've only fixed the water heater that went out, nothing else. If you've read the cons, here's some pros. I have to start with this my second google review I have done in my life . It takes alot for me to get upset and in this case completely let down and treated with the utmost disrespect. Today at my 4th attempt To speak with a member of management (10am, 12, 2pm and 4:40 pm) I was graced with the opportunity to speak with Tabitha the current property manager. I have been a resident of this complex for over three years and don't have much to complain about ever because I am hardly ever home to really enjoy my home sadly because of my work life. So when I have had enough of an issue I was nievely expecting a good helping attitude when it came to the excessive mold/mildew issue due to it becoming unbearable due to my auto immune disorder, plumbing exposed pipes with visible mold in my shower, peeling ceilings due to the multiple flooding from upstairs which has ruined my carpet and has never been truly addressed with any seriousness of fixing any of this issues this past year. And what finally broke my heart was gift I save my hard earned money for to give to my husband a pair of shoes as a birthday present was taken from my home. I went to office to explain my maintenance issue two weeks ago and maintenance worker was present and assured me he would visit my apartment the next day. I didn't notice at first but that first weekend I notice they were gone. Not one other soul has a key or access to my home. I am not from SA originally and my family lives elsewhere. When I explained all this to Tabitha not one word of empathy or any attitude to let me know she would try to resolve my dilemma. She coldly and dryly explained to me that she would inquire about letting me out of my lease. Which let me know she had no interest in trying to help me. read more

I moved in December 2024 and now in August 2025, I am looking to leave as soon as I can. Since I moved in, I've had a nasty roach infestation that refuses to go away. I had them fumigate a couple time after moving in, but maintenance enters when they want, with no warning and without asking permission, even though I specifically asked to be notified. As a woman who lives alone, this is very uncomfortable to deal with so I stopped using their pest control and purchased my own, but nothing seems to work. The roaches are completed infested in the walls, cabinets, they're even in the rooms and restroom. Neighbors have been horrible, my wall-to-wall neighbor had some serious domestic violence going on to where the cops showed up at least once a week until they were evicted. Upstairs neighbors that moved in mid lease are awfully loud even though I asked them nicely (twice) to keep it down and brought it up to leasing office after the second time. I've since made 2 noise complaints and the issue has not been resolved. The walls are extremely thin, you can hear neighbors TVs, every footstep, arguments, music, you name it. The horizon hill Blvd gate has been broken for weeks and both entering and exiting cars have to use one gate instead of designated enter/exit gates which can be very dangerous since cars often drive be try fast in the parking lot. The area generally is very loud and has lots of crime. Nearly every day and/or night there is cars doing burnouts, racing, revving engines past 12 am, there has been multiple times where I've heard gunshots being fired at night. Parking is horrible, not enough spots and all the cinder blocks used for parking are moved out of place and there's nails and metal rods sticking out of the cider blocks and even straight up out of the ground. Being stuck here is driving me nuts and if I would've read these reviews sooner, I would've listened because it seems many other residents are having the same exact issues. read more

We moved here for a bigger apartment in 2022 and our friends lived here they're apartments seemed to have no problems and they had no problems with the front office, so we thought it would be a great place to live. Little did we know it would be a hell hole. First our apartment that we signed the lease for the former tenant decided they wanted to stay so they moved us to a different apartment, one that would be "newly renovated" so we thought okay not so bad and we continued through the process. Second, our move in date kept getting pushed back to where we were almost up on our first apartment and could have been homeless for who knows how long if they didn't get their act together. Our move in change 3 times before we actually got to move in because they couldn't schedule their maintenance correctly. Third, on the day before our final move in date my husband and I swung by the apartment to walk around the complex and get a feel for the area and we looked in the windows and the flooring was tore up, stove wasn't hooked up, a toilet in the living room and the fridge in the back yard. Fed up we walked to the front office and asked if it would be ready tomorrow because we had reservations for labor help to move in. Once again they called to ask if they could move the move in after re assuring us a week prior it would be ready. We demanded keys on our move in date because we weren't waiting any longer, up until 7pm on our move in they had maintenance still there and to find out our dishwasher wasn't ever hooked up to the water line. Took them 2 weeks to come in and hook it up just to find out they didn't have the piece, went to Lowe's right across the street and got the wrong piece so it took way too long. They have no scheduling for maintenance so they just show up Willy nilly which does not help if you're a full time student and have a full time job. Then the bugs happened. I understand it's a old apartment but they could have pest control out spraying because the amount of BIG cockroaches we found were unbelievable. The A/C in the master bedroom didn't work we called to get that fixed never happened. Then we had a leak in the master bedroom ceiling and you'd expect that to be a cause for concern and they never took our call. We left messages and went in to make notes of it and every time we'd walk into the office they would audibly groan at us. We never wanted to be the problem tenant but we expected more and better communication from them. Over all it was a horrible experience and we broke our lease. It was not worth the 1325$ we were paying. The only "renovation" they did was add new tiling to the bathroom. read more

I've lived here for 6 years. In the past, the management and leasing office have done a less than mediocre job, at best. With this latest crew, some serious changes have happened. They are very professional and courteous. They really care about their tenants and always have some kind of fun activity or gesture to show their appreciation. The work orders that I have submitted have been answered and resolved in a timely manner. Jacinto is so AWESOME!! He is very efficient and friendly!!!! read more

Moved here 2021 Nightmare!! To anyone looking at this property please don't I urge you not to come here the property needs a lot of care they need to power wash this area there's also been a shooting right by my building I've been scared to come at night there's been people hitting cars here and not getting punished for them there's just been too much unreliability and inconsistency they even have a new person working in the office I'm never talking to the same person so with that I already see that there's an issue with this place I can't wait to move out of here I'm giving a review now because I haven't seen any changes they allow the neighbors to blast music pass the quiet time when other people have to work the next day it seems that there's no consideration or courtesy emails that go out only when it's to their convenience they're really quick about collecting the rent but when you have a complaint they don't hear you out! I was told there's a lot of thievery in this area as well so yes I'm ready to move out of here I wish I could get out of here and break my lease and not have to worry about that but unfortunately I have to wait it out! read more

There is only one pro and that's the fact that I pay $860 for a 1000 square foot apartment THATS IT!!!! Fo starters the property is infested with skunks, possums, and ROACHES!!!! Yes ROACHES!! When night time comes you will literally see about 50 big ass roaches as you're walking to your apartment!! (I stay in building 20). The maintenance crew here FUCKING SUCKS!! I went two full weeks without hot water!!!!!! They kept giving me the run around on that and took two weeks to fucking fix it. I was having to shower at golds gym!! Then it took them two weeks to come and look at my air because I would be set for like a temp of 70 something but inside would be in the 80's!!!!!! I called the emergency maintenance line for that and they said "ohh we didn't get it" so your emergencies will not be looked into. And then now that it's cold I put my heater on to 75 and guess what it's 58 degrees in my apartment. As stated I am a nursing student and by the time I get home the office is already closed and I've been calling the EMERGENCY MAINTENANCE line for the past few days leaving several messages and guess what? NO ONE HAS COME! Also I had fucking sewage water fill my sink for two weeks as well before they even came out and fixed that!! DO NOT MOVE HERE I AM TELLING YOU!!!!! I will be contacting corporate and informing them because 1) I am a veteran who has served and protected this country and 2) I have fucking dogs that would literally be fucking panting like they're about to pass out when I would come home!!! They ignore your maintenance request but be sure to send out rent reminders like clock work!!!! Also have pics to match! It has a beautiful vibe that you don't really receive with other apts, I toured once an walked through the property many times and was very close to signing a lease but unfortunately the only floor plan they had that I was interested in was right next to a gate that had a pretty open view and as a single women I didn't feel comfortable living there. Unfortunately there are some negative reviews but you can tell management really does care about the property, it's a older complex so I'm sure there are going to be issues but like I said they have a vibe you don't receive with any other property! read more

I moved In about 2 months ago, I got a great move I. Special and haven't had any problems , I had family issues and was late I. Rent and they were more then accommodating, so far they've taking good care of us. The rent is decently priced for the neighborhood, I live in 1/1 on 3rd floor and it's bin remodeled and I have to say I'm very happy with the look. read more

NOBODY MOVE HERE EVER!!! Roach infested apartments. One time I requested pest control to come, they said they would come and they never came. It's disgusting and unsanitary. I'm sure I'm not the only one dealing with these bugs. I have not even been staying in the apartments. I've been living with a friend for over a week. Of course they didn't let me out of the lease because of money even though they said they would due to unlivable conditions. I can't even cook in my own place because there's just so many of them. They came to do a clean out and they must of not even done it right because there is still a bunch of them. There is just so many things wrong and I can't wait to get out of here. This complex has recently undergone a change in management. The old management was bad, but the new management is even worse. The new management has flags up at the site saying there is a dog park, and that is a lie. Moreover, I believe they advertise that the complex has 3 pools. I know they have at least 2, but one of those is closed by the city and the other one should be closed the filtration system still does not work. That doesn't count the fact that you have constant problems with roaches ("water bugs") and the a/c systems cannot keep up with the heat. Such a shame that the new management is not treating this as a good investment and trying to run tenants off. read more

Please read! It's a long review, but maybe it'll save you heartache. I lived here for 2yrs. The only reason I didn't move out sooner was because I was working and going to school full time and honestly didn't have the time. If you see positive ratings, those are likely from people who just moved in and they haven't been there for a while. It seems management is nice to get you to move in and that's where it stops. Overall rating: Poor, very poor. When I initially moved in I was super excited, I'd just moved to the city and was starting over. I found these apartments through the Texas Relocation Experts (TRE). Although they should know about crappy apartments, I won't rate them poorly for crappy property management. Anywho, both management and TRE convinced me that it was a good deal and I got a special for $300 off the first month. If I knew then what I know now I would have ran away so fast. Noise: Naturally, anytime you have neighboors in an apartment environment, you'll have not-so quiet neighbors. However, my issue is that you can literally hear everything outside of the apartment. People walking/talking, dogs barking loudly, and I'm sure there are dog breeds that aren't allowed, random lawn mowing and maintenance. I don't think noise rules have been enforced. Grounds: If I could give it negative stars I would. There are stray cats, raccoons, possums, and SKUNKS hanging around the grounds/dumpsters. Its bad to the point where you have to be super careful at night. So imagine having to worry about general safety, then having to worry about stray animals on top of that! The pools were never cleaned, I mean never cleaned. The gym equipment was literally falling apart. People don't police their dogs and bring them around other yards and let them crap without cleaning it up. Safety: Lets talk about safety! I ended up staying with someone else out of concern for my safety. Maintenance would randomly show up and try to enter my apartment. Any hour of the day. The gates rarely worked. I mean, whats the point of paying to live in a gated community where the gates don't work! But wait, there's more! There were sooooo many car break-ins. I had my car broken into and quite a few others did. You would think management would alert the tenants about safety concerns (that's TX law by the way), but they didn't. When I notified them of the break-in I was just told be careful and they wouldn't be allowed to enter my apartment. As if bad guys are really going to come into the office and request to get into my apartment. I'm not naive, I know break-ins can happen anywhere, there are criminals all around. However, at least notify your tenants or ask for frequent police patroling. But of course you don't think about those things if it's just a job and you're in it for a paycheck. Maintenance: I've had many maintenance orders not fulfilled. Even when they came to fix my AC, there was water literally leaking from the walls and floors! Guess what that leads to? Mold! You think maintenance came in and tried to clean it up? Nope, they didn't. And the bad thing is you can tell there was mold there before and it was just painted over. Mold can really effect your body and a lot of times you won't even notice. Needless to say I feel a lot better after moving out. There was leaky tubs, low water pressure, hot water issues, issues with locks, couldn't really go on my balcony because the sliding door wouldn't open. Couldn't let fresh air in because there were no screeens on the windows (which helps contribute to mold). Neighborhood: I will say the neighborhood is in more of a central location so as far as access to schools, entertainments, medical etc, its a good area. The only issue is trying to get onto the highway at times is like playing a game of frogger. You either go the long way around or you attempt to cross 4 lanes of traffic without getting hit. God forbid some impatient person drives up behind you expecting you to risk your life because they don't want to wait behind you. Staff: As other reviews have stated, there was A LOT of staff. Between maintenance and management, it was a lot of turnover. Any management/HR personnel can tell you that high turnover is NOT a good thing. I really think they should focus on fixing management and their business processes. It starts from the top and trickles down, and ultimately the residents are paying the price. Not only that, with the new management came new bills/prices. My monthly rent ended up shooting up by $60 because they claimed previous management wasn't billing correctly for water/sewage. If thats the case, that's fine. However, don't just bill people, email, call, or text to let folks know their bills will be increasing. People have lives and other responsibilities to take care of. An extra $60 is taking away from other things that need to be paid! All in all, I wouldn't wish this place on my worst enemy. Don't move here!! read more

Let me start off by saying all apartments will have problems and that is inevitable but as an agent in this industry you will always see people airing out the bad instead of the good. So.. since I've been here I have encountered I want to say around 5 Managers who all gave me the run around but I'm glad to see that we finally have one who is willing to sit down with a resident and speak with them about any concerns that they may have, I just want to say thank you Dana and let you know that stuff like that does not go unnoticed. RARELY in our industry will a manager even interact with residents because they use us the leasing team as their shield of defense and that is not even close to the case here . Right now with all the people in and out of their office they're short staffed but are doing a great job at maintaining such a large property. Also one thing that caught my attention last Sunday my lady and I were jamming out on our patio and we see a lady walking with roses and get a knock on the door, we now know that this was Kristian the leasing consultant and she was giving us our renewal offer and explained everything to a tee instead of just handing us a paper and leaving. I see this apartment taking a turn for the best so read all the reviews you want but check it out for yourself before you believe all the bitterness in some of these reviews. read more

New management staff is terrible. Very unorganized. My lease is coming to an end and I will not renew Run from these apartments. Definitely the worst apartments I have ever lived in. Has had multiple managements take over, yet it is still horrible. Office always promises to send maintenance right away but no one ever shows up. Took them 2 weeks of me calling 3 times a day (every time was, "someone will be there right away") before they actually showed up to fix my sink. 3 months for them to fix water heater ! Not to mention the overwhelming pest problems of roaches, ants, possums and skunks. They do not even follow through on their word or promises. You simply can not rely on them for ANYTHING. It was toothed and nail just to get them to honor their own referral promotions. It is definitely the worst apartments I have ever lived in. The gates rarely worked.
