Needless to say I (as well as my Mom) was surprised that the Festival shifted to World's Fair Park. It is much BIGGER than I remember. I guess Market Square wasn't big enough to handle all these cool booths. Honestly it is much less "Fair Like" then the Washington County Fair in Hillsboro. No rides and unnecessary fried food. Mostly cool art, tons of crafts, and I was able to grab a cool shady spot to chill and write my review. I was really hoping to spot one of my old(er) friends from Knoxville while I was walking around. I don't usually last long at these festivals...my interest seems to wain fairly quickly, but people watching is fun too. Kinda reminds me of sitting on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in Manhattan. Yup it always comes back to New York. Y'all come back now, ya hear?

He paid 4 dollars for a lemonade refill and she gave him mellow yellow, and when he corrected her she refused to give him anything else. He even asked for just water and she refused. I dumped the drink out and went back to ask for the money or a lemonade and she REFUSED to help us and instead was so rude and ugly to us. She also gave my boyfriend cold and soggy fries so the food wasn't great either. She refused to help me get in contact with customers service. So disappointed with the fair staff this year. I grew up going to this fair and have a ton of memories here and for the staff to be horrible this year makes me so upset, I have had plenty of contact with people who have also had this experience this year and it's so sad to see something we loved as children become a place of frustration! The only blueberries that were left, with an hour and a half to go, were the blueberry plants. From the pictures I saw, this was the only vendor that had blueberries and therefore, sold out. With that being said, there were many vendors to choose from offering a variety of fresh fruits, veggies, and meats. There was even a darling lady set up offering essential oils! Every single item I purchased was DELICIOUS! The herbs, veggies, fruits were all tasty and juicy with great aromas. Everyone at the stations were kind and helpful and had no issues talking with me about the different varieties of food they were offering. Very thankful for this market. I wish they were open further into the fall season.

They show several videos and answer any questions you have about the farm, the "girls" and cheese making. The cheese shop had 30 different cheeses and you can sample them all - no matter if you take a tour or not. They have a grey barn with cute, local items and a grilled cheese and shake cafe. We bought mini shakes and made a "shake flight". The staff accommodated our request without batting an eye. Do t worry if it's packed. The grilled cheeses and shakes come out quickly. Fun excursion!

From fresh local seasonal produce that is so much tastier than anything you can get in the store, to amazing loaves of long ferment sourdough, to simple ingredient dog treats, to family-raised healthy clean meats and eggs, to artisan soap, art, and other crafts. There was plenty of parking and since the market is not directly next to a busy street, it is easy to navigate with kiddos and dogs. There is even Jackson Square across the street with the fountain to sit around under shaded trees and eat your market goodies. They recently transitioned from winter to spring/summer market for the year and we were so pleased with the included vendors. The vendor booths included: mushrooms, meat, seafood, hand-carved wood furnishings, crafts, stationary, seasonal produce, florals, bakeries, hummus, cheese, clothing, etc. Can't wait to attend again and see if the vendor roster increases as the weather warms (and when Dogwood Festival is not happening).
