I was charged for a full 30+ minute visit ($255) for what was actually a virtual Covid diagnosis call, which should have been something like $25 as advertised at their office. This happened 10 months ago and I am still getting the run around from their billing department. I spoke to someone months ago who said she was looking into it and has never called me back. Their outgoing voice mail says they will return voice messages within 24 hours. They have not once called me back after 3 or 4 follow-up inquiries. 2. They charge a higher amount for 30 minutes-or-less visit, as they do for a 31-to-40 minute visit. If I schedule a 30 minute visit, and it happens to go over by a minute or two, I don't think it's my responsibility to watch the clock. I find it dishonest to let the appointment run over and then charge me more. The efficiency of the office flow should be on them, not the patient. I am not a difficult patient who sticks around and asks multiple extra questions. This happened on a different office visit than the Covid call mentioned above. Strike 2. 3. I just got charged a $25 appointment cancelation fee for a recent appointment I had to miss due to showing Covid symptoms. From my point of view, I didn't cancel the appointment -- they did! Of course, no once answers when you try to call and discuss (see point 1). 3 strikes, time to move on to someone else.

I think she's the best doctor I've ever had…read more I am consistently impressed with the amount of time she is willing to spend listening to my problems, discussing solutions (both further medical options and things to do myself at home), and answering my questions. I've had a number of complicated/chronic/mystery health issues that have been ongoing, so there is often much to discuss and try to figure out. But Dr. Annis never makes me feel rushed. Also, it is very refreshing to have a physician that does not seem to work from default assumptions about my lifestyle. Finally, she is pragmatic and frank in her advice. She will tell you when you really must check something out further or treat it, but she will also tell you when you can most likely live with something with no ill effects. In an age when it seems many doctors want to pathologize and treat ANYTHING, this increases my trust in Dr. Annis greatly.

In the past, I've…read morehad some good, and I've had some absolutely awful doctors, but Dr. Caulfield and the staff at Carrboro Peds and Internal Med actually made me happy to be there. The front office staff was very sweet and helpful. I only waited maybe 10 minutes to be taken in the back by a very kind nurse. And, only waited about another 5-10 minutes before Dr. Caulfield actually came into examine me. She was very thorough, asked lots of questions, talked about my options, and explained why she was choosing to take a certain course of action. She has a very friendly personality and is extremely knowledgeable. I felt like I was in great hands and really couldn't have been more pleased with a doctor's visit. I don't have any kids, but if I did, I would absolutely be taking them to Dr. Caulfield and staff. They are a great practice and I am grateful to have found them!
