Started going to her over 25 years ago. I went on and off for about a year. In recent years my kids have been seeing her. She is a capable doctor and I trust her BUT...be forewarned...her staff is useless. It almost doesn't even matter who is working there, they've always been useless. They never seem to know what is going on or what they are doing. I've sat there after checking in and paying my copay for upwards of a half hour when someone will come to me and ask if I checked in yet. Um, YES, a half hour ago! That happens regularly.
It is VERY hard to get an appointment usually, often there is nothing for three of four months later.
Her office is antiquated. The exam rooms are dingy, poorly lit, everything is just old and run down looking. The last time I was there, she wanted to do a mole check and handed me a gown to change into. I refused. She took the gown out from the cabinet under the sink, which was filled with large bottles of soap, some other odds and ends and then a few gowns tossed in the mix.
The bottles of soap on the counter next to the sink are old, obviously refilled often, which is fine, but pretty grungy. I expect my drs offices to look cleaner than this office.
Dr. Fox is always rushed, she talks fast, moves fast, and acts like she's doing you a favor by seeing you. She is a nice woman, but you leave there feeling like you were rushed out asap.
I only continue to use her because she is close by, I do think she is a good dr, and she always gives you all the samples you need. Occasionally I have heard her on the phone with patients and is downright nasty.
Because of her inept staff, rushed demeanor and grungy old office, I am not giving her a good review.
Strictly based on her medical abilities, I'd give her a better rating. read more
