!!!!! Fox Fuel tacos is an authentic taco style located in a fancy gas station off of Harry Hines and Northwest highway. This gas station also give you an opportunity to do your laundry in addition to consuming tacos! Talk about hitting the bird with two stones (maybe even a couple more stones). This place was truly unique due to the large quantities of chandeliers and the enormous tv which really makes it "fancy." I came here on a mission to satisfy my craving for some authentic ghetto tacos with my family. We all ordered the tacos al pastor, also known as the "beehive" of meats, and I was able to try the cow tongue taco. The cow tongue taco was really interesting considering I didn't know what it was until after I ate it lol. I would have to say that the tacos al pastor was a little on the dry and bland side but I still ravaged regardless! The tacos were so cheap! Last but not least, I ordered the elotes and WOW it was one of the best I've ever had in Dallas. The corn was so rich and creamy which made it nearly impossible for me to control myself lol. This new location is ridiculously big! It's located right across from Friendly's tacos which is my all time favorite place. Had to give this one a try to see what the new competitor is bringing to the table. It's a gas station/laundromat with a taco stand inside. I love that's it's so bright and colorful outside. Upon arriving, it feels like I'm going to a club. The inside is decorated with chandeliers everywhere. Makes eating tacos much more fancier in Harry Hines as compared to eating in your car, on your hood/trunk or on someone's hood/trunk. From looking at their menu, they offer a wide selection of taco meat. Something new for me is the Trompo meat which is pork and also the Chicharon which was sold out unfortunately. We ended up ordering the lengua, beef, Barbacoa, and Trompo. Orders are taken at the cash register. The cashier will give you a receipt in which you will take to the taco stand to present to the taco chef. I like the Trompo taco which was flavorful and also the Lengua. Beef tacos was okay. Barbacoa was too oily, fatty and bland. As for the sauce, they said the green sauce is the spiciest. Both their red and green sauce was not good to me which was a bummer. Missing flavor and spice for sure. Overall, Friendly's tacos is still my top favorite. Still a good experience. You have to try something new in order to have something to compare with. read more

Okay, it's a high density gas station, with a laundromat attached, so it's pretty busy. It's easy for it to get dirty, and there's usually just one person cleaning. The gas is a good price, they're usually a bit cheaper than some of the other gas stations near me. (There isn't a QT near me.) The chicken tacos are decent. (Not horrible. They're edible.) That said, always check the expiration dates on things before you buy them. I wish I had saved my receipt, but I didn't even get a receipt. Pack of pistachios from November of last year, really? I went into order food tonight, explained to the cook how I wanted the Torta "Mexican sandwich", and was tossed the box of food saying he wasn't going to fix my order because I was talking on the cellphone, even though I had stopped my conversation to tell him what I wanted. He refused to add everything on it like I had asked. Another guy had to come and add it. When I asked for a manager he said that everyone is the same there and that there is no supervisor. This large gas station/laundromat is conveniently located on Harry Hines off of Loop 12. Plenty of gas pumps and parking are available. A large, clean and bright store welcomes you through two main entrances. One of the cleanest convenience stores I have seen with fully stocked shelves and a neatly arranged aisle of products. A large selection of delicious slushes to quench your thirst on a hot summer day in Dallas. Try the watermelon mixed with melon. Yum! The laundromat side is very clean as well. They have many washers of different sizes to wash your clothes with free dryers. The murals on the walls of the Dallas Cowboys and Dallas skyline are beautifully painted in bright colors for your viewing pleasure. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that the 3 or 4 times I have been here, I've noticed the employees are not very friendly which takes away from how great the place is. Today I encountered a washer that was not dispensing water and had to be switched 2 times. I was given one refund for $6 but was out $14. I had a problem with 2 dryers that had to be restarted 3 times to finish drying my clothing. I lost out on money, products, and time. read more

As far as tacos, I would probably only give one star. It just wasn't great. I just had pork which is my top pick of meat anywhere. It just tasted bland. The grilled onionsThe green and red spice wasn't spicy at all. I didn't exactly like the way it tasted neither. The green was better than the green. As far as presentation, I'd give this place a 4 star. Very nice chandeliers, very fancy, places to sit upstairs and downstairs. There's a section to where you can do laundry. There's a wide selection of snacks and a wise selection of drinks! They have Arizona teas! In comparison to Friendly's (which is my usual go to place for tacos), much nicer place, has a place to sit. But as far as taste wise I'd go to Friendly's for tacos and elotes. They don't have elotes here sadly. I'm willing to give this place one more try though so I'll update my review if anything. read more

Tacos are cheap, but thinking I would gas up and run inside for street tacos turned into a 35 minute wait while my gas pump was stuck in my vehicle. The wait was so long that a couple ahead of me demanded their receipt from the kitchen and was refunded. TERRIBLE. I only regret I can't give NO STARS. When I went to get my receipt for a refund 5 minutes after the other couple, I was ignored until they called out an order and the lady HAD to face me...to which she said "he's working on your order now". I waited another 5 minutes...and when she finally called mine I said "I'm just a little frustrated that I had to wait 35 minutes for street tacos" her reply was "NO...Don't say that". (WHAT?!?!) I was not expecting much from a gas station taco stand, but the spit looked ohh so inviting. I had the three taco plate, which is a waste of $; as the beans were cold(cheese wouldn't even melt) and the rice was hard and flavorless. A better option is to just get the three tacos and save $1.50. I had two pork and one beef. For a street taco it was ok, but the pork was dry; which was a huge disappointment. The gas station itself is insane. You can get laundry done, haircut, lunch or breakfast if the donut counter was still open(it was closed when we stopped in around 1pm). So I am a combat veteran of 2 wars. OIF, and OEF. Iraq & Afghanistan for those who dont know the acronyms. I have severe PTSD and anxiety. I have a service animal. The two idiots behind the counter denied access to my dog and I. When told he was a service animal and why I had him, he told me this. " I dont care about that pos dog or your pos story. You think you're entitled?" By the way, he says this after I tell him WHY I have my animal. When told of the ADA he grabbed the security guard, who was polite and knew of the laws in place for me and my animal. He apologized. And i could tell he was just doing his job. On a separate note? The cashiers were both middle eastern. Maybe they hated the fact I fought over there. Oh well. This place? I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars in. I will never go back. This is the largest gas station I have ever been in. You can do your laundry here and the product selection is extremely large. You need to come here for the food. Fresh authentic Mexican cuisine. Tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas, rancheros. It's all made to order. They will even make the food exactly how you want it. I will be coming back!! read more

This morning, I stopped to put gas and used pump #7. I paid cash $20.00 and as I began to pump, it suddenly stops at $4.00 in. I go and tell the store clerk and she said, to keep pumping and when I went outside it had a message, "All pumps have stopped". I go back into the store and tell her that it stopped and that I just wanted my money back. " Well, Corazon (she said in Spanish)., you need to remove the pump from your tank so I can give you a refund." Of course, with a rude tone. So, there I go again, I remove the pump from my tank, and put the ump back in its place and close up my tank, and again, I go back into the store to get my change. As I walk in, she is talking about me to another customer, like it's my fault that the pump just stopped suddenly, when she controls it from inside, or something. This is UNACCEPTABLE! Gossiping about me to another customer. I tried calling their number to file a complaint with her supervisor and when, I did, I heard the message," Either the number you dialed is out of service or you must use the correct area code......" OMG!!!! So, here I am writing about my bad experience here. To the Hispanic lady with dark hair, that was working there this morning at 8:57 a.m. 3/10/22, you need some customer service training desperately and I am hoping your boss reads this, so he knows how customers are being treated here. The gas prices are CHEAP! By far the cheapest in the area. They have a taqueria and a laundry built in. I wish they would have seperated the laundry from everything else but they didn't. Great place!! I've done my laundry here at 10pm on a Sunday. The free dryer actually dried my clothes after only one run. Instead of having to restart the dryer two or three times. The trompo tacos from the taqueria were pretty good. They were a great deal at 10 for $11.99. read more

Dry, flavorless, and nowhere near as good as what can be found all around this place. This is a cool place, it's a gas station/ laundromat/ restaurant. It's a big inside and clean. Lots of lighting everywhere. Plenty of tables and chairs. Restrooms are big and clean. There's no changing table though. The food prices are good too. We ordered the tacos special. It came with 3 tacos with a side of rice and beans. I tried the a trompo tacos, the meat had no taste at all. Also ordered a asada taco but I think they got it wrong and gave me barbacoa which was extremely salty. I also tried a lengua taco and that was the only good taco I had. We got 2 taco specials and 2 small drinks (32oz fountain drink) paid about 16.00 dollars.. We won't be eating here again, food was just way too disappointing. Overall this is a cool place, nice concept but the food is not great. read more

Nice store with a lot of fuel pumps, have gotten a lot of diesel fuel here to find out it has a good amount of water in it. The attendant wasn't very helpful. They have a huge laundromat which is nice. The only downside is there is a few people sleeping in the laundromat that look to be vagrants, not very pleasing.
