Granite installation was great; however, do NOT let Scott White instal tile! He made a mess all over my kitchen. Instead of packing my kitchen cabinets tonight, I'm washing literally everything that was in my lower cabinets because he didn't bother to cover them up, including all drawers. When he was done, he threw the nasty water with grout in it on my side yard and killed the grass...then left the bucket for Mallory to come pick up. He's very short tempered and rude. On top of this, he gave me a bill on an invoice that read Whitehouse Remodel. I wrote a check made out to Whitehouse Remodel and he wouldn't accept it...had me void it and make it to Scott White. PLEASE BEWARE and know that I am writing this review for those hardworking individuals who genuinely want to know the good and the bad before spending their money. And I do not want to see anyone disrespected, or made to feel less than (like we did), regardless of the amount of money being spent. Trust me, when I first read the previous reviews, I was excited about this company. Unfortunately, my lived experience was a complete nightmare. When Greg first saw our kitchen he seemed extremely annoyed, and proceeded to tell me, in a stern tone, that it did not make sense for us to be changing perfectly good countertops. And after basically calling us stupid because we wanted to change our countertops. He then commented that this was the reason why he did not like working in neighborhoods like ours (Dominion). He went on to explain that he did not like working with rich people because he did not like their attitudes. Yet he was the one acting totally hostile and disrespectful. Let's be clear, I am a retired Army Officer and disabled Iraq Veteran, and we are far from rich. So, with tears in my eyes from complete shock and disbelief, I asked him what made him think that he could come into our home and insult us. I went on to remind him that I had asked for an in-home estimate, not a mouthful of demeaning and disrespectful comments. My husband came to see what was happening, and that's when Greg changed his tone. He immediately apologized and stated that he was just scared to do such a complicated job, so instead, he displaced his emotions onto me. He also admitted that he does not like to do custom jobs, and asked if we would allow him to start over. And because we are forgiving Christians, we forgave him and agreed to continue. When Greg's brother, Sam, came to take the measurements, we were alerted that he had come through the front gate of our neighborhood, but 10 minutes later, he still was not at our home. So I called to see if he was lost, and he immediately became defensive. When I tried to explain to him that we are responsible for our guest and it had already been more than 10 minutes at that point, he angrily stated, I'll be there in a minute. The whole time he was there it was cringe worthy and uncomfortable. The next day, I called to confirm some information, and Sam was not only short with me, but he cut me off multiple times. He then began to slander another business not knowing how to do their job, when actually he was the real problem. When I tried to explain to him that there was no need to slander another company, Sam began to make a childlike noise as if to drown out any additional words coming out of my mouth. I was treated better by our country's enemies during war then these two brothers. Not only did I feel attacked, I felt judged and made to feel as if I was the problem. Even though, Greg stated that he was used to getting these types of calls about his brother's offensive behavior from other customers. If you decide to go with them, just know that having an opinion or asking them a question may automatically mean that you are challenging them in some way, and result in you being disrespected and dismissed. I had an incredibly seamless experience with Fox Granite. Greg came out to the house the same day I called, unlike other companies that never even returned my calls. He brought a sample at a great price that I liked, but when I changed my mind, he met me down in New Braunfels on a rainy Saturday morning to find something else that I wanted. Sam came on time to measure for the template and in 10 days they were back with an install that went perfectly. Pricing was fair and communication was great. I would use them again in a heartbeat. No other granite companies had someone who could do my backsplash and Fox recommended Scott White, who they use often. Scott was amazing. He not only did a great job on a hard-to-work-with-tile, but he repaired some outlets they were not up to code, put on new outlet covers to match, did paint and trim work, installed the new faucet, and even changed the lightbulb that I haven't been able to reach in a year. I'm going to book Scott for my fireplace hearth as soon as he is free. As a woman, I found neither of these companies condescending in the least. This is always something I am very sensitive to. It was $4100 for a 56 sq ft of countertop (counter and island) including the cost of a new sink and also cutout for a new stovetop. They also recommended a very nice plumber, Raul Salazar, who came in the following morning and installed the faucet and sink plumbing for $250. I have to add to my positive review with Fox Granite..I thought I'd wait and mull over how I felt about my countertops after a month or so after they were installed and I truly couldn't be happier. Greg had initially come out to show me countertop options in October and he was there for almost an hour, going over samples and talking to me about the pros and cons of each materials. I had done a lot of research on my own but it was helpful to be able to ask him questions and tell him what I was looking for and have him recommend me the best materials. I am not one of those people who just have a show kitchen..I use my kitchen and abuse it practically every day so it was important to me to have something that was low maintenance yet beautiful...My first appointment was before my cabinets were installed and before I found my backsplash..Originally I was going for a plain subway tile, then I upgraded to a marble like tile and glass backsplash so I called Fox Granite again and they were gracious enough to come back out again (this time in December) to help me reexamine my choice... I found a Pental Quartz that really matched the look I was going for. I even changed my sink choice (from double to single) and put my deposit down. I travel a lot for work..like A LOT but Sam kept in constant contact with me to work out a good time for installation...originally was supposed to have everything done in January but a problem found behind my walls pushed my project wayyy back. My cabinets were delayed by 2ish weeks, therefore so were my countertops..While I was sweating, Sam assured me that things would be ok and rescheduled the install. I got my countertops installed Feb 2nd and they're pretty fab. The installers worked pretty quick..they had to notch my sink cabinets to fit the sink which had me sweating even more but their reassurances calmed me down a bit and honestly, the sink is the most beautiful sink ever! I was debating between Vigo or Kraus but whatever, this sink they provided is awesome. There had to be a small seam but it's pretty hidden and I don't even notice it. The first thing people have noticed are my countertops and I'm just really glad I used Fox Granite. My kitchen looks super high end, and I am more and more in love with my countertops each day. WOW, I am one happy customer. The work Sam, Jesse and Bobby did on my vanity top project was PERFECT. Very professional. Beautiful workmanship for a reasonable price. I had been muddling around for over a year trying to decide what to do and how to do it. Once I decided to first find a reputable installer/fabricator, Fox bubbled to the top of the list. I had researched the process, knew some of the in's and outs. But their smooth process turn-key process sold me. Based on a phone conversation, Sam brought samples to my home. After an hour I had things narrowed down, he encouraged me to visit the yard and look at the slabs to finalize my decision. I had a written estimate before I left and easily made the decision not to look any further for assistance. The next day Jesse arrived to finalize measurements. Within a week, I had a call that they were ready to install three granite vanity tops with under mount sinks. Jesse and crew were neat, quick, and professional. They had old vanities out, new vanities in, sinks installed in about two hours. Bobby arrived later in the day to hook up the plumbing... his work was meticulous. The project manager, Sam kept in touch throughout the process by email and even called once the install team left to answer any questions. The ONLY thing I had to do was a little touch up paint. Greg Fox is a young man who somehow has the right formula for a great customer experience. He makes it look easy because he designed this business with the customer's every concern in mind. By far, Fox Granite has the smartest business model, most efficient execution of a project, and the most seamless professional process I have ever seen. My project, about 88 sq ft of countertops was completed in one week: signed on a Thursday, and had new gorgeous countertops the next Thursday. Greg has thoughtfully built a brand experience that is congruent with who he is and how he does business. There were no disconnects throughout the engagement. This is his business, and he is proactively 100% personally responsible to the customer. The only hiccup that occurred was due to no fault of Fox Granite at all, and yet, they are the ones who solved the problem we, the customer, created. When faced with my short-fused, (and ill-informed) husband about sink connections, Greg remained calm under fire and quickly drove a solution that wasn't part of his accountability. He offered up his plumber to assess the issue, who guess what, arrived within one hour of the phone conversation with no other agenda than to make the customer happy, which in fact he did with a 30-minute pipe adjustment. The plumbing was not part of the contract, even though it had been offered and I declined, thinking we could handle a simple sink reconnect, that wasn't quite as simple as I expected. When you work with someone under the most difficult situation, and they rise above the churn and solve the problem they did not create, you are looking at a true professional whose personal brand sets the stage for the company's success. Having never gone through the process of installing a marble countertop, I was a bit nervous about how to proceed, but the Fox brothers changed that very quickly. I absolutely LOVE my new granite counter tops and back splash. We worked with Sam and he was great. We didn't price shop as they came so highly recommended but I "felt" the price was probably fair for the work done. The team responsible for the tile were subcontractors and they were great as well. The counter tops feel "rough" may be sealer or something. My only issue is that we have a drop in stove top and it now slides around in the space like the hole cut in the granite is too large. Unfortunately, the issues post installation, ruined the experience for us. I mention as a heads up to home improvement novices. We hired a plumber to reconnect our sinks. Sam's team cut the pipes to remove old sinks. This required new pipes which took several hours and was unexpected. Our fault that we had removed every sink in our house at the same time. Also, we didn't make the connection that we would also need a plumber to reconnect our stove top. So the following day when ready to prepare dinner i was surprised to find that in addition to my stove sliding around inside the granite it was not hooked up. Luckily the plumber had returned for an issue with a faucet and he was able to connect the stove. Overall a great experience with a great result and I actually don't notice that the stove doesn't fit snugly unless cleaning it. 9/15 - I waited to actually post my score as I was concerned about the fact that my counter tops don't feel smooth. It is definitely some type of finish. I'll phone Sam today and find out. It's almost like it needs the sealer removed and redone or something. read more

I am going to happily join the masses in providing Fox Granite with another 5 star review. The process of installing new granite countertops and tile backsplash was simple, fast, and dare I say it: FUN! I had Sam out on 9/12 to quote my job. Since I really had no clue what I wanted, Sam made some suggestions and provided me with a written quote. Like other reviewers have mentioned, there was no pressure to sign a contract right away or to give a deposit. As I mulled over the decision, I got a few other quotes and looked around at more granite options/ colors. I called Greg Fox on a Saturday afternoon and asked how they would/could accommodate my desires, and they not only committed to meeting my needs, but also provided me with an updated quote within the hour. Once the decision to go with Fox Granite was reached, Sam and Greg both set about to find slabs of granite that would precisely meet our vision. Once Sam arrived at what he thought was a good set of options, we met Sam at the granite place the next Saturday and personally picked out and slapped our name on the slabs that would be just for us. Next, Sam's crew came out to make a template of my countertops and prepare to cut the granite. These guys are AWESOME. They are an extremely hardworking, nice, funny group of guys. I will even go so far to say that it was a pleasure having them around. Once the granite was cut, the crew returned RIGHT ON TIME for the install appointment. Again, super friendly and VERY accommodating. They were patient me with as I took photo after photo, helped me hash out whether my blacksplash tile was a great choice or a disaster, and checked with me every step of the way to be sure all holes were drilled properly and seams were sealed flawlessly. GORGEOUS! The next day, Sam's backsplash crew was on the scene. Again, RIGHT ON TIME. Kelly and his guys were FANTASTIC. They were clean, nice, considerate, and friendly. Also didn't mind me snapping pictures of the progress every 15 minutes! All of the plumbing, gas, fixtures, and face plates were all reinstalled with care and precision and the crew didn't leave until I was 100% satisfied and the kitchen was gleaming and clean. They even provided thorough after care and long-term maintenance instructions. The project was completed on 10/10/14. Overall,this was a FANTASTIC experience. I HIGHLY recommend Fox Granite for any granite installation project you have. Extremely professional, accommodating, and service-centric. I am BEYOND impressed and pleased. If I could give Fox Granite zero stars, I would. And here's why. I had been in communication with Greg Fox on the type of granite we were looking for- more on the white side- but the samples that he brought us were exactly what I did not want. We were looking to remodel our kitchen and upgrade our countertops. I showed him pictures of the look I was going for- contemporary and clean lines- and the first thing he told me was to wipe that look out of my mind and stop seeing any photos. According to him, I was never going to get the look of a beautiful kitchen unless I was willing to upgrade my home and change cabinets. This was personally offensive and unprofessional to me as our home is our sanctuary and quite tastefully decorated (we get many compliments from people who visit us). Furthermore, Greg separated samples by groups and told me that the closest granite that I could get, similar to the one we had in mind (River White), was Bianco Romano- a category 4-5 granite. Not only was he trying to sell me a granite that I didn't want, but I also discovered, after visiting two different granite yards, that Bianco Romano is a category 2 or 3 granite. After taking measurements, Greg quoted us a bid that was highly unreasonable and did not include an itemized listing of what I would be paying for. I thought this was strange and when I asked him for a breakdown, he said that he does not do that. To me, this was a red flag. I immediately told him that I could not work with that bid. I was eager for him to leave as I had many red flags going off in my head and an uneasy gut feeling about him. I contacted him only because he had high ratings when I did a google search, but my personal experience was more than negative. I finally went with a different fabricator and I am so glad that we did. We just got the granite of our choice installed in our kitchen, master and guest bathrooms. It looks beautiful. And the overall cost for the additional areas (bathrooms) was lower than what Greg quoted me for just my kitchen. read more

FOX GRANITE....WOW! First let me say, I have extremely high standards and always want extraordinary. I purchased a house with a kitchen with a great foot print, that had finishes that were dated. The way the kitchen was originally designed proved challenging for the type exotic granite I had in mind. I interviewed several companies who had interesting ideas about how to get around the challenges each of them included choosing a different product. Greg walked in smiled tilted his head and said that this will be challenging but I can make this work and do it the way you want it. I was skeptical seeing that he was the only one that did not ask me to compromise on what I wanted. He came in blew the challenges out of the water, and left me with extraordinary! His team started when he said they would, they finished when he said they would, they were professional and thoughtful. The project came in just where Greg said that it would and the only surprises were created by me. I have done a lot of projects and have been sometimes disappointed. Roman tub faucets and spout not drilled per Delta instillation instructions. Fox employees returned to the job site three times to fix errors- once to redrill the tub spout opening (did not dry fit the parts after drilling the holes the first time), again to re-caulk the tub and a sink (tub caulk cracked and the sink had been caulked using a mix of clear and white caulk), and finally to help problem solve lever faucet holes that were drilled 8 inches apart and the instructions indicated they should be drilled 10 inches apart. They were responsive to our concerns and sorry that our installation was poorly executed. Their mistakes slowed the completion of our master bath renovation. Cannot recommend this company. read more
