I think it helps to keep from having people on to of each other. I imagine it gets quite busy after the first hour. One of these days I'll need to go closer to noon to see how the market is then.

We brought my daughter in a stroller and a dog on a leash and found the crowds manageable, and a nice family friendly ambiance. The vendors had quite some variety - olive oils, dip mixes, fruits, veggies, coffees, bakery, food trucks, local ketchup, flowers, etc. They also had some live music which was fun. I drove over from off Lisbon ave and I saw no farmers market so I drove around the whole park and it's all the way in the back. I still almost missed it because it's very small. I had some fresh ribs and cabbage in the slow cooker and I wanted a nice fresh vegetable side to go with it, to my surprise I couldn't find anything because it was mostly flowers, greens, sweets, salsa and basically nothing veggie wise as a side dish, see my pictures. This was the most useless farmers market and all I left with was a pork egg roll that was very average.

Oh, and set your Google Maps for the exact address, as "Enderis Park" will land you blocks away, in the middle of said neighborhood.

There are usually at least half a dozen food trucks lined up along the park, and other vendors if you want to purchase lunch at the market. There are another half dozen plus vendors for fresh produce, flowers, and other such things. For a lunchtime downtown weekday farmer's market, I would say there is a nice variety of seasonal vegetables usually available, and the prices are good. Other stands with baked goods and crafts are also present. If you have a half an hour to spare on your lunch break and you work downtown, I would recommend stopping by. Sometimes you'll even find live music.

I returned around 9:30 and to my amazement it didn't any bigger really but I walked around it and saw coffee stand, soap, two food stands, lots of flower, lots of leafy greens and root vegetables, jewelry, meat and cheese stand. I think maybe 25 stands at the max and absolute no fresh fruits at all. This was a pretty small farmers market with no fruits on my visit and I ended up leaving empty handed and I probably will not return because the Milwaukee area has a couple better farmers market options.

If you were not such a bunch of lame-o's Milwaukee, this area would look like Humboldt Park, Chicago, or Williamsburg, Brooklyn now! Get on it!
