Foxworld totally messed up our travel plans with their incompetent travel advisor ,we no longer can fly together with our friends due to their mistake, an will not pay for the difference in cost to make that happen, to save a few bucks for their company they will lose at least ten future vacation trips with them, my advice stay away, an use a small independent company, you'll receive better servive!! read more

My mother and I trusted fox world travel to send us to a different country. We asked for some nice and close hotels in the Cancun area and our travel agent assured us everywhere he was recommending was 5 stars and so trusting his word we went with one of the resorts. Before we even left for our vacation we had to ask him three different times just to get our travel itinerary/information. Nick Webb is his name if you're wondering, he ended up sending it to us mind you he sent this information to us maybe four days before our departure. All of this information ended up changing and the only way we found out our flights changed and we're switched around with times was because I looked through the flying company's app with our flight numbers! Nick couldn't even bother letting us know our planes were leaving earlier/later I guess that wasn't important enough to inform us about. Once we landed in Cancun it was an absolute mess from there, we told Nick we wanted to be close to the airport cause we didn't feel like starting our vacation with a long drive to our hotel. Pretty simple request but I guess not, going against our wishes Nick sent us about an hour and a half away from the airport (not including time with traffic) When we arrived everything seemed okay our room somehow wasn't ready so we had to wait another forty minutes or so while they "cleaned" our room. The hotel went on to tell us about how they have 6 different restaurants, free room service cause it was all inclusive, multiple pools so on and so fourth so we were excited to start our trip from there! We got to our room and it was immediately one red flag after another, there was over an inch clearance from the door and outside so any of the geckos, cockroaches and other insects could creep into our room, after that we noticed MOLD everywhere. It was on our ceilings in our bathroom and in the bathtub. The shower was disgusting there was a bunch of random stuff in the drain, the bathroom counters had stains everywhere, the bathroom floor had mold and mildew in the corner along with standing water. Moving into the next main room where we're supposed to sleep let's start with the air didn't even work so it was disgustingly hot in there, our bedroom sheets had mold stains and a few other unidentifiable stains on them as well along with the chairs you're supposed to be able to relax in. So we complained to the front about all of this and they said they'd go clean the room. We decided to go check out some of the other parts of the hotel, an they weren't any better the pool had algae and mold growing all over it, the beach was disgusting, none of the restaurants were ever open and youd ask different workers and some of them would say they're 24/7 or that they're open from 5-10 So not only we're we being sent on a wild goose chase just to find food but every time we we're told one of them we're open we would go there and they'd be closed!! So we decided to order room service cause it's all inclusive right? Nope 35$ not including the food so we just ate the snacks we brought from home. Decided to head back to our room to see if it was clean and it wasn't and after a couple more times complaining and the time being about now 10:30 at night and neither I or my mother could sleep cause we felt there was probably bed bugs everywhere cause we kept breaking out in hives we went down to the front desk. They moved our rooms at 10:30 at night to another room that had pretty much all the same issues and a new one being that when you showered the bathroom literally flooded Don't know how that isn't a safety hazard but whatever. We ended up reaching out to Nick sending him the pictures telling him all the times we complained begging him for a solution because we COULD NOT stay in this disgusting hotel, I mean we we're looking at flights home the day we landed. Nick pretty much emailed us back saying we're the ones who picked this vacation and he also informed us he reached out to the hotel and they said we never once complained. Don't ever waste your time with this company unless you want to go somewhere so disgusting your skin crawls and your travel agent who you payed how much money for pretty much informs you that it's all your fault supposedly even though you have no idea what this resort looks like except for of course the catfished pictures on their site. to dig a little deeper then the hotels website? Ridiculous this whole trip was like throwing your money in a garbage bag and then hopping in after it. Worked with Bree Moede to plan a Christmas vacation for myself, husband and our two daughters/significant others. Bree was helpful in forwarding options for us to consider, but there was a substantial amount of work we had to do ourselves-we were usually referred to the resort website to search for answers. Our trip was a bit complex, as we had 4 ppl leaving from Chicago and 2 from Minneapolis-which is part of the reason we used a travel agent vs booking ourselves. Plus, since we were going over what we now see was the beginning of the huge Omicron surge we wanted to have someone stateside if any problems arose. When we checked in at airport, none of our TSA Pre-check numbers had been added by Bree, so after waiting for 15 minutes to get to a kiosk we learned we had to go to the counter to get the information added. Minor inconvenience, but again something I would've expected a travel agent to do as part of their duties. Trip itself was great, resort was nice but not as nice as we'd been lead to believe from Bree. Real issues started when I tested positive for Covid day before return flight home. Couldn't get a hold of Bree to figure out how to address this-was our travel insurance going to cover this?, did I need to pay the hotel direct for the extra 10d of quarantine?, who would change my flight home?, The onsite Amstar representative at the resort checked in everyone (but me) for return flights failed to cancel my flight (despite knowing I was unable to leave due to +Covid), which resulted in a "no show" for me on that flight, and a complete loss of the $$ or flight credits for it. The resort did outstanding in dealing with the ever growing numbers of guests who were now stuck there quarantining. They had a doctor visit me 2x during my stay (no charge), and were as gracious and helpful as could be given they were figuring this all out as they went along. I finally was able to get a hold of Bree 2 days after my first attempts to contact her. I was told that when I returned home I could fill out the travel insurance paperwork to submit a claim but that was the extent of her "help". I was left to reschedule my flight home, figure out transportation to airport, and work with the resort of payment for the 10d. The hotel concierge was a huge help for me, since every American Airlines phone number I had been given in our travel documents didn't work when dialed from outside the US-they had to place every call for me. This was during the height of the flights being cancelled due to Omicron-literally thousands of flights were cancelled every day and I'm spending hours on the phone each day trying to schedule a flight back home. And at the end of my "extended stay" they said that since I couldn't get a hold of my travel insurance/agent the hotel's insurance policy would cover the costs of my extra 10d. Now, two months after getting home, I have tried multiple times to get in touch with Bree to check on the flight credit/$$ issue, a website or phone number to contact Amstar for their failure to cancel my flight 9which would've at a minimum insured I received flight credits if not actual refund) the travel insurance to try to recoup that cost (since I can't get a hold of anyone at that org either), without success. This trip required months of planning to coordinate 6 working individuals' schedules, not to mention the cost of nearly $20k. We took out travel insurance that was nearly $1000 for the 6 of us, just in case anything happened. But I also believed that working with a travel agent would help us if we did run into any issues or difficulties--but it turned out the best resources for help were the hotel staff in Mexico and myself. Next time we plan a trip (Italy this summer) I will plan it myself and book direct. For as much work as we ended up doing ourselves, and the lack of assistance when we needed it, topped off with the ghosting from Bree afterward, we'd be far better off just going it alone. read more

I would not use this agency. They charge you an upfront fee just being in the store. Then once they work with you for one day, they forget about you completely. We begged over email to get some service. Then they come back with prices that are 150 bucks more than if you book right through the actual resort. Why go to a travel agent if they are going to get you for 50 bucks to start, and shave a few more bucks as we go. Worst part was, they dragged their feet so much, we ended up paying 300 bucks more because prices went up after the first of the month. Stay clear of this agency. read more
