I have ordered flowers from Fox for several years. I do not live near Marion, Illinois so I order by phone. My experience has been that they deliver on time with excellent arrangements. TERRIBLE COSTUMER SERVICE FLOWERS NEVER GOT DELIVERED WILL YELL AT YOU BE VERY HOSTILE AND HANG UP ON YOU WHEN YOU QUESTION WHY THE FLOWERS NEVER GOT DELIVERED. Ordered some flowers for my mother in-law to be delivered at the Marion VA Got called back and was told their computers were down and they weren't able to put a card with the flowers and to make sure I let my mother in law know that they were coming. I was like okaaay so how are they going to know who it's going to? It's being delivered to a hospital I'm sure there are a lot of flowers being delivered there. "Don't worry ma'am the driver knows who it's for" I'm like sure ok. Sure enough my Mil never got them. I called back today and talk to the Manager who I'm sure is named KAREN basically started yelling about how of course there was a hand written card. I asked why I was called back and told to make sure I let my mother in law know they were coming if that was the case and she hollers well the intern was mistaken to do that she's unpaid! She was supposed to only tell you that they couldn't run your card until today. I said good don't her birthday was yesterday and you guys literally didn't deliver and the she hung up on me. This place makes the most gorgeous arrangements. My mother just adored the flowers she got for Mother's Day. I had called on Wednesday to see if they could make a very particular kind of bouquet. By Friday mom had a lovely arrangement sitting on her table. They were so incredibly friendly. They didn't even seem to mind how insanely specific and picky I was. That is rare these days. This will be the only flower shop in Southern Illinois that gets my business from now on. read more

My husband and three small children had ordered me flowers for Mother's Day. They were never delivered, we were not called and then 3 days past that date Foxes called to say they had flowers for me to come pick up. Too late! Asked for a refund and they said they did not do refunds. Charged us for a service and product we never received. Horrible business, horrible customer service and a disgrace to the floral industry. My kids were devastated that they didn't have anything for their mother on such a special day. read more

If I could give less than a 1 rating I would. Two consecutive years on Valentines Day they have missed deliveries on my wife's flowers, without so much as a notice. Last year they decided to cancel my order at 3pm and this year they didn't even attempt delivery, which was supposed to be made by 1pm. When I asked them about this, I was told that the drivers that lived in the area were going to take them on their way home. These were going to my wife's work place and at 5:45pm it's a little late for that, don't you think? I won't ever be back and I will never give them a referral. read more

A flowering bush in a ceramic pot to be delivered to my nephews funereal. What we got was a straggly bush without a single bloom in a cheap straw basket. My friends called and Fox Flowers said the bush came from a distributor and they did not know what it looked like when it was delivered. A full refund was issued. Today when I was pulling the pot out of the basket - I found a Wallmart price tag on the pot. There was NO "distributor" involved. And they had to have seen the bush because it was delivered. Here is the thing: $300 was paid for 3 bushes. In return they paid for a $ 10 Wallmart bush with no flowers. This is bad business read more

I have worked in customer service for many years and because of that, have relatively high expectations. Fox's failed to meet any of those expectations. In special instructions, I had asked that the driver call before delivery. Simple enough, right? I had asked them to do this because my parents were leaving that evening to drive to Decatur and I wanted my mom to get her Mother's Day flowers before then. Instead, the driver called from the drive-way, inquiring why they weren't home; they had already left. He then asked where he should leave the flowers..? My mom had to instruct him to hold onto them until they would return on Sunday. She calls and tells me this, and obviously I'm a little frustrated since I live 1,000 miles from them and cannot be there to do these things for them in person. I call back and speak to a girl who's nice enough but never shows the slightest concern or regret for the situation. I tell her the flowers need to be remade if my mom is going to receive them 3 days later, as I don't want her getting flowers that have sat out all weekend. She agrees but still refuses to acknowledge fault of any kind. That's when I suggest they give me a refund, because seriously? Not only is my mom not getting her flowers, but these people can't own up to their mistakes. That's all it would have taken to defuse the situation. "Yes, we apologize for this mix up" and I would have been completely satisfied. Instead, some other girl calls me back with an attitude telling me I can have the flowers or the refund, but not both seeing as they made no mistake. I explained to her that calling from the driveway is not the same as calling beforehand and that as a result of this, my mom doesn't get her flowers. What's the point of including a SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS option if the request won't be fulfilled? She continued to argue and interrupt me until I lost my temper. I have very very little tolerance for poor customer service and these people do not understand the concept of customer perception. After all that, I was told I was banned from Fox's Flowers (OH NO) and that I would get my money back, but no flowers. This was followed up by a snotty voicemail from the owner, Teresa, who once again assured me I would be getting my money back, but that they had made no mistake. This saga continued via email, where Teresa again told me they did nothing wrong and that I should be ashamed of myself. She even suggested I apologize to my "sweet father" for my behavior. LOL. Talk about completely unprofessional and inappropriate!!! I fully owned and acknowledged that I completely lost my temper. I even extended sincere apologies. But as a business, all you have to do it own your mistakes as well!! That's all it would have taken. Fox's makes beautiful arrangements but if they make a mistake, don't expect anything in return. This is a small town business with a small town mentality. Simple as that. I'll be going to Etcetera next time. Their arrangements are nicer anyway. read more

My husband lost an Aunt who lives in Illinois. Living in California and wanting to send flowers made it difficult. We wanted to use a local florist, so I used Fox's Flowers. They have a secure website which was easy to use and a beautiful selection of floral arrangements. However, I was late in placing my order. MacKenzie called me to say the arrangement I chose was not available but she could make one similar with different flowers and get it to the funeral home in time for the viewing the next day. She went above and beyond, was pleasant and patient. I truly appreciate this business for helping during a difficult time. read more

I phoned Fox's from Arizona at 6:30 p.m. (30 minutes after they closed for the day) to order flowers for a funeral to on Saturday. I did not have funeral information prior to that. The website and their answer machine said "Open Saturday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. send us a text or leave a message". I placed the order through the website for two arrangements. I then sent a text letting them know I had placed the order and to please call me with any questions. I also left a message on the answer machine with the same information asking them to let me know if they could not fill the order. The following Monday I received a call from a very nice lady to inform me that they didn't open on that particular Saturday and my flower arrangements had not been delivered. Oops, sorry we missed the funeral. I did everything their phone message said to do, followed their specific instructions but they neglected to follow their instructions. The lady on the phone said she would inform the manager, too bad the manager didn't think this was important enough to inform me herself. I don't care how pretty their flower might be, I would not recommend this place to anyone if they can't follow their own instructions. read more

I ordered flowers for Thanksgiving after receiving a $10 off coupon from their website. I had used this florist previously. I found later that nothing had been delivered. Upon calling the store to enquire, I was told that they don't accept coupons. The very coupon from their own website. I was not contacted to tell me about the cancellation. read more
