They never showed up so I followed up with emails and phones calls weekly with no response. They finally showed up on Oct. 29th. I went with the owner to pick out block for the wall, I chose a block from what he showed me were my options. He had me pay for the material upfront. The next day he told me he did not realize how much the material would cost so he would be using a lesser quality so he wouldn't lose money (I waited over a month to get my refund for the difference in price). Once the crew arrived they complained quite frequently about the owner and one of them quit mid-project. They also did not show up everyday. The wall is not straight, has gaps, and several pieces were not glued down so they now can be lifted right off the wall. When I paid the remaining balance I made the check out to The Grounds Guys but Matt made me rip up the check and make it out to him personally so he wouldn't have to pay the franchise fees. During the project my NEW front lawn was ruined due to their trucks driving over it. I was told that it would be repaired either at the end of the project or early Spring. I contacted Matt in May about it and he said "I haven't forgotten about you". I am writing this on July 2nd, 2019 and he never showed up. I ended up having 3 yards of dirt delivered ($120) and I bought seed ($40) myself and fixed it. I have filed a complaint with corporate and am currently waiting to hear back.

He did quite a bit of gardening work for us to remove ivy and ground cover, then added yards of small stone to areas where we didn't want vegetation. We were so pleased with how hard he worked & how thorough he was and how reasonable his pricing was, that we hired him for some landscaping as well. He designed a fantastic tiered garden, using some existing stones from a collapsed retaining wall, and adding layers of stone pavers. Then suggested several low-maintenance flowering plants and added several yards of mulch to it all. It has completely changed the look of our backyard -- just gorgeous! We have met neighbors for the first time, who have stopped after the addition of the landscaping, to compliment us on what an improvement it offers! Alec is kind, communicative, creative, responsible -- you won't be disappointed! Shows-up when he says he is going to, very good gauge of estimates and timelines. We'll be contacting him to add gutter-cleaning to the services he provides for us, based on how pleased we are with his gardening/landscaping.

My husband called them and they told him that they had a couple people not show up. I understand that these things happen and it would not have been a big deal if they had called us and communicated that. On top of that, when my husband called they told him that they wanted to come back out to look at the property because they thought the estimate was too low. Not my problem if your employee did our estimate incorrectly. I no longer trust Preston's. We cancelled our tree removal.
